The CEO's Wife Is Super Charming-Chapter 335 - 332: All the Preparations
As soon as she entered the room, Luna spoke to a maid.
Probably to prepare some porridge for her.
Luna took her to the second floor and arranged a separate room for her. The layout of the room was nice, not much different from her previous bedroom, even making her feel it wasn’t unfamiliar.
Yet she didn’t know that all these arrangements were also instructed by Norman Bennett to Owen Sutton.
After drinking the porridge, she began to bathe and prepare for bed. Luna knew she was unwell, so she didn’t disturb her further and left her room early.
After showering, she walked out of the bathroom, her white robe still carrying a faint scent of lotus, as if everything in the room was her favorite.
She pulled open the curtains, revealing a balcony outside, so she pushed open the glass door and went out to the balcony.
In the corner was a small table, and the chair was an imaginative cat stool, somewhat resembling a small lotus.
Originally, she thought she would find it hard to adjust to being here, but now, feeling the wind outside, she surprisingly found herself quite adaptable.
Everything was better than she had imagined.
It would be just like traveling, even if it wasn’t her choice to come.
Returning inside, she lay down on the bed and took out her phone, opening it to find many unread messages.
Norman Bennett had already sent her thirteen messages, all filled with concern for her.
She knew he cared for and loved her, but there was always a feeling of unease in her heart, probably because she was somewhat "rebellious" and disliked having everything planned out for her.
Meow: "I’ve arrived, just finished showering, about to sleep."
Bzzz~
The moment she sent the message, it was delivered. The speed of this instant reply surprised her.
Norman Bennett: "Good girl, have a good sleep. I’ll call you early tomorrow morning."
She actually wanted to receive his call right now; she wanted to see this man who "troubles" her.
Meow: "I want to see you."
As soon as she sent it, a video call request popped up. Thinking for a moment, she covered her side of the camera.
Upon answering, she switched the camera to the rear one, letting Norman see only the ceiling and the lights on the ceiling.
On the screen, she saw the man sitting. It was probably a computer he was using; otherwise, it wouldn’t be this distance.
Seeing his familiar face, she still found it quite a sight for sore eyes, as he was really good-looking, so much so that she could overlook everything else.
"Girl, are you still feeling unwell?"
His voice came through, but she didn’t feel like talking, only responding with a nasal "hmm."
She really felt terrible, her stomach churning with nausea, her head spinning.
The freshness from the shower earlier was gone.
"Let a doctor take a look, okay?"
She shook her head, then realized he couldn’t see her, so she said, "No."
Looking at the wall behind him, it didn’t seem like he was at the company or at the Vicars Hotel, so she asked, "Norman Bennett, where are you?"
"Hotel."
His concise answer was quite perfunctory.
"Which hotel? What are you doing at the hotel?" A sudden bad thought crossed her mind, but her trust quickly erased it.
To her, it was impossible for Norman Bennett to misbehave outside. Probably he was on a business trip.
"On a business trip today."
This answer was exactly as she had imagined.
Then he sighed helplessly and asked, "Girl, I want to see you."
