The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System-Chapter 84 - Blue Wing mercenaries
Chapter 84: 84 - Blue Wing mercenaries
Right after finishing everything he had to do in the Red Claw gang’s stronghold, Qingyi immediately set off towards the capital of the Heavenly Thunder Kingdom.
He was happy, with a ton of lust points, a ton of gold and, soon, a powerful sword. How could he complain about life?
He thought about stopping by the temple to let the girls know that everything was fine, but after some thought, he decided to head straight to the capital.
Going to the temple would delay him for at least another day, and he wanted to reach his destination fast.
With quick steps, he crossed the rainy, thunderous night sky.
Even using his lightning steps, it still took him almost four days to finally reach the kingdom’s capital.
Stopping on a small hill, he observed the city.
It was large, protected by mighty walls that seemed to have been forged from steel, rising more than twenty meters high and encompassing an urban area capable of easily housing more than a million people.
It was obviously incomparable to the great capitals of the mainland, but it was nonetheless impressive, situated in a deep, well-protected valley. At its back, a mountain was visible, similar to the mountain of the Ascending Dragon Sect.
However, instead of being green and covered in golden clouds, this one was black, with dark storm clouds forming a carpet that completely covered its peak.
This was the mountain where the Spirit of Lightning had sealed itself.
Qingyi didn’t know much about it, and the few records he found in the temple library were confusing.
His eyes soon focused on the gates of the capital and the almost endless queue of people trying to enter the city.
"This looks even more tumultuous than Golden Cloud City..." he muttered, before taking a look at himself.
He was filthy, at least by the standards of a cultivator of his level. His clothes were still stained with dried blood and his body was covered in sweat. freēwēbnovel.com
Shaking his head, he extended his senses to make sure no one was around before wiping away the sweat and changing quickly.
It wasn’t perfect, but it was enough.
With light steps, he soon joined the slowly advancing queue.
"You seem to be new here! You’re here to go to the Tempest Secret realm, aren’t you?" A voice called out to him.
Turning around, he found a young man with short hair and big eyes, perhaps in his seventeenth year, his cultivation no higher than the third stage of the Qi Refining Realm.
Without even giving Qingyi time to reply, the young man continued, puffing out his chest: "If you need a guide, the Blue Wing mercenaries are always free. We’ll do it for a cheap price, hehehe."
"Liu Xiaogou, you damned brat, what did I tell you about disturbing strangers in the street?" A tall, powerful man emerged from behind him, his fist coming down on Xiaogou’s head with a thud.
"Ugh..." The young man groaned painfully before defending himself. "I wasn’t disturbing him, Brother Laosan, I was making him an offer!"
Unfortunately, those words weren’t enough. Laosan grabbed the young man’s head and forced him to prostrate himself.
"I beg your pardon for my little brother, senior. He has a big mouth, but no brain!" Laosan hastily apologized.
He was at the ninth stage of the Refining Realm, having reached that level at the age of 45.
He was relatively talented in the Heavenly Thunder Realm, he even had a chance of reaching the Foundation Realm if he was lucky.
But even so, he could barely feel Qingyi’s aura, as if the handsome young man didn’t even exist, and this immediately made his heart freeze.
Qingyi was probably a Foundation Realm expert and, by his apparent age, a young man of unparalleled talent!
"Don’t worry," Qingyi smiled slightly, Laosan’s face filled with relief.
Fortunately that senior seemed to have a good heart.
"But he’s right, I’m new here and I need a guide. How much will it cost?"
"Well-" Laosan opened his mouth, but Xiaogou immediately cut him off.
"Fifty gold coins and we’ll accompany you wherever you want in the Tempest Secret realm!"
"You damned brat!" Laosan lost control, grabbing Xiaogou.
’Why the hell can’t this brat go a single second without trying to kill himself?’ he thought. Fifty gold coins was simply absurd for the services they offered.
His eyes were about to tear up when he heard Qingyi’s next words.
"All right, I’ll pay." Qingyi smiled, opening his space ring. The next moment, a small pouch with exactly fifty gold coins appeared in his hands.
Laosan looked at the money with shock.
Had that expert really withdrawn that much money without even caring?
His group barely made that much in a month, not to mention a single service! He couldn’t stop his eyes from glazing over as he accepted the payment.
"Thank you very much, senior, I promise to guide you well!" Laosan clenched his fists before leading Qingyi to the front of the queue, where his group was waiting for them in a simple wagon with three other people.
Xiaogou jumped into the wagon proudly before pointing: "The ugly guy driving is Li Gouzi. He makes very good fried chicken!"
Then he pointed to the only woman in the group, an ordinary-looking woman with full breasts, her dry lips tinged with a gentle smile.
"She’s big sister Mei. She’s very good with water qi. And that’s Chen Tiezhu over there. He likes big axes!" He indicated the last one, a tall man with very little hair, who nodded amicably to Qingyi.
"Who the hell did you call ugly? You filthy brat!" Li Gouzi almost let go of the reins of the bull driving the carriage, but Laosan’s voice quickly silenced him.
"Have some manners in front of our honorable client!" Laosan scolded him before apologizing to Qingyi. "I’m sorry for the rudeness of my companions, senior!"
"It’s okay..." Qingyi couldn’t stop a muffled laugh from escaping his lips. That seemed to be quite an interesting group of people.
