The Creatures That We Are-Chapter 1114: Pinnacle of Yin and Yang
Chapter 1114: Pinnacle of Yin and Yang
A gust swept through the night sky toward the mountain behind the town—it was Nainai, Hong Xiaoxiao, and Vermilion Bird, concealed with Invisibility.
The gondola car, which had halted halfway up the mountain, had fallen along the cable and plunged to the square below. When the three arrived, they found the square covered in thick pink mist carrying an enchanting fragrance.
They immediately held their breaths.
“Nainai.” Vermilion Bird shot her a look.
Nainai extended her hands and made a parting motion. In an instant, two gusts of wind scattered the pink mist. Now they could see the square clearly. The car Nine Frost and Chen Ying had been riding in lay not far from them, crumpled on the ground with its windows facing downward. The car was too crushed for them to see inside.
“I’ll save—” Hong Xiaoxiao was about to rush over when Vermilion Bird grabbed her. Vermilion Bird gave Nainai another look.
Catching on, Nainai waved her right hand, sending a powerful gust toward the car and flipping it over.
In an instant, countless pink bubbles of different sizes flew out of the broken window of the gondola car, filling the square. The three jumped back. Nainai quickly summoned a wind barrier to shield them from the approaching bubbles.
Vermilion Bird's face darkened. The gondola car was empty.
“How sad. You’re too late.”

The three quickly turned to find a seductive woman lounging on a nearby bench. She was naked, with parts of her body covered only by scales. Her eyes were captivating and irresistible—Zhou Jing, the death monster of Lust.
“Where are Nine Frost and Chen Ying?” Vermilion Bird asked bluntly. They didn’t have the time to waste.
“They?” Zhou Jing propped her supple body up and pressed an index finger to her lips. “Aren’t they right before your eyes?”
Vermilion Bird’s eyes widened. She meant the pink bubbles all around them!
“What did you do?!” She growled.
“Only what everyone goes through,” Zhou Jing said with a laugh. “Mating, procreating, being born from nothing before becoming nothing...”
A pink bubble floated over to Zhou Jing. She popped it silently with a poke. “See? Nothing is real. The only thing proving a life’s existence is the strongest pleasure. That is the ultimate gift from the maker...”
“They should thank me for giving them the experience.”
Bastard!
Vermilion Bird shouted, “Save them!”
“Time Reset!” Hong Xiaoxiao immediately used Gamer.
In two seconds, all pink bubbles hovering above the square froze in place, turning into streams of white light flowing toward Hong Xiaoxiao. The light soon condensed into the shapes of two adults—Nine Frost and Chen Ying.
Good! They can still be saved!
Zhou Jing smiled with surprise. “Oh, you can bring them back?”
She rose from the bench and sauntered up to them. “How fortunate they are. They’ll get to experience the greatest pleasure twice.”
“Watch out! Be ready!” Vermilion Bird and Nainai positioned themselves protectively before Hong Xiaoxiao.
“Hmph, you corrupted, fallen thing!” Nainai lifted her chin fearlessly. “This Empress will smite you to nothing!”
“Come, rise, and climax...” Zhou Jing raised her hands. Red energy rushed out from under her feet like viscous blood, transforming into strings of beads that swirled around her.
The outermost beads quickly expanded and turned into pink bubbles, flying toward the three awakeners.
All of a sudden, however, the pink bubbles stopped midair as if time itself had halted. Looking closely, the bubbles were all enveloped by violet energy, frozen into ice crystals.
Clink! All bubbles shattered into sharp violet-pink pieces, shooting toward Zhou Jing like a hail of bullets. They rained down on her, erupting into clouds of thick violet smoke.
Twenty seconds later, a crystal tombstone the size of a movie screen emerged on the square, trapping Zhou Jing inside.
Vermilion Bird turned toward the sound of rushing wind with pleasant surprise. A woman wearing a quaint red dress descended from the sky. She was tall, slim, and beautiful with flowing silver hair and piercing crimson eyes—White Dew.
Her voice was soft yet icy and elegant. “I made it in time.”
“Weren’t you—” Vermilion Bird stopped herself, coming to a realization. “Gao Yang’s idea?”
White Dew landed softly and adjusted her intricately-made red dress. “The death monsters aren’t interested in me, so Gao Yang asked me to follow you at a distance without you noticing. Naturally, the enemies wouldn’t notice me either.”
The massive violet crystal tombstone cracked, interrupting their conversation. It shattered sideways into a pile of broken crystals. Zhou Jing slowly walked off the rubble, her skin covered in light pink patterns.
Behind her, four tails of concentrated red energy undulated. They were thin like the wings of a cicada, simultaneously smooth and fierce. They resembled four soft ribbons yet also sharp scimitars, alternating between intertwining and scattering—a visible manifestation of tangled, interdependent desires.
“Ugh, why are all of you women? Can’t there be a few men?” Zhou Jing put a finger to her lips, smiling with what could be mockery or disappointment. “The yin and yang balance is all wrong.”
“Whatever, just accept the gift of the maker...” Zhou Jing’s four tails suddenly wound together to form a crimson scorpion’s tail.
Vermilion Bird, White Dew, and Nainai readied for a fight, but then suddenly, Zhou Jing shuddered. The scorpion tail scattered back into four writhing appendages. Her mouth fell open, her breathing quickened, and her face flushed crimson. She lifted her head and sniffed the air intently.
“Who is he? The pinnacle of both yin and yang. What a perfect being!”
Zhou Jing lost her composure completely. She yanked at her hair. “No, nonononono... He’s mine! No one’s touching him! No one!”
“I want him! I want him! I want him!”
She descended into madness. With a powerful strike against the ground, her four tails launched her to the sky, transforming into four pulsating wings.
Vermilion Bird, White Dew, and Nainai stood shocked, confused by the turn of events.
Vermilion Bird looked up and saw that Zhou Jing was rushing to the main battlefield. She ordered decisively, “Hong Xiaoxiao, take care of Nine Frost and Chen Ying. The two of you, let’s go aid the others!”
“Understood!” Hong Xiaoxiao exclaimed.
“Hold onto this Empress!” Nainai grabbed Vermilion Bird and White Dew each with a hand. Conjuring a gale, she took flight with them in tow.
