The Crowned Greed: Transmigrated into a Demonic Dragon-Chapter 147: Dante’s Wheel Of Luck
"I’ll come back later."
"I’ll be waiting!"
Elizabeth waved to Dante as the inky-black sphere covered him again.
The cooldown ended and he could finally return.
All that time, he did nothing serious. He only spent time speaking with Elizabeth and even met her friends face to face.
However, he had to leave. Staying with them didn’t serve any purpose, thus he had to return to Ruby and ensure her safety.
He trusted Fafnir’s strength, but Dante was obviously superior to him.
’Also, they might end up fighting again when she wakes up.’
After the inky-black sphere vanished, what was left where Dante had stood was a plushie-like, inky-black, adorable creature.
With no hesitation, Elizabeth rushed forward and took Fafnir to her embrace.

"Yeah, I feel bad for her." Dante sighed deeply, looking at the unconscious figure of Ruby with her mouth wide open.
He could understand neither of them. Why would anyone like to be a slave that much?
Even if they wanted to be slaves, what was that thing Ruby had said about her being Dante’s favourite? Why would anyone want to be someone’s favourite slave!
’It’s like wanting to be a torturer’s favourite victim! It makes no sense!!’
And Fafnir’s situation was even more complex. Unlike Ruby, he wasn’t a slave, but a loyal servant. Wasn’t he supposed to correct her about his real position?
There was no way that he secretly considered himself a slave, right?
’...Right?’
Shaking his head, Dante looked at the dark sky and decided not to travel now.
’I’m Rank 2 now, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to overestimate myself.’
Who knew what beings out there could kill him with a surprise attack? After everything that Dante had seen so far, an Eldritch horror coming out of the ground only in the night to hunt people wasn’t outside his expectations.
Instantly, Dante summoned a Pyrofang wolf and used the method that Fafnir had used to move her around.
He... used a shadow rope, tying her to the wolf’s back.
It was awkward, but that was the best he could do.
After that, he rode the wolf and searched for a few minutes until he found a suitable cave, which had a beast living inside.
Seeing the beast that looked like a walking pineapple with arms and legs, Dante manipulated the Pyrofang wolf to kill it with a claw strike, turning the cave into his.
"Cough, cough!"
All of a sudden, Ruby opened her eyes, coughing violently and cautiously touching her neck.
"You are alive. Don’t make him mad next time." Dante said casually, pulling out a boulder from his ring to close the cave.
Yes, Dante had a boulder in his ring, and there were a few other items that might be useful in the future, so he kept all of them with him.
For example, he had a tree!
Why would he keep a tree with him? He... had just taken it. No real reason yet.
"He... my lord, how was that just a shadow?!" Ruby asked after regaining her memories.
Wasn’t she now far stronger than before? How did a shadow knock her unconscious that fast and physically overwhelm her?
Dante took out a tent from his ring, not bothered by Ruby’s gaze, and explained: "He’s my shadow in a literal way. Didn’t you notice that I don’t have a shadow? Well, I have a shadow, and he was mad at you."
"Do-do you mean he’s a part of you?!" Ruby’s jaw dropped.
Did that mean she provoked her own lord? The man she respected and admired the most?
"Umm... technically, yes. He can do almost everything I can, and he has potential to become as strong as me someday."
Considering that Fafnir got the ability to use Dante’s relics and 10% more of Dante’s stats, he truly had high potential.
By Rank 5, he’d have either 90% or 100% of Dante’s stats, depending on whether the increase was equal in every rank or not.
Not to mention the new abilities he would get alongside the stats, just like the ability to summon Dante’s relics.
’Would he be just a shadow by then or an almost identical copy of me?’
Dante felt interested in knowing more about that, getting more motivation to reach Rank 3 and become a Master.
BAM!
All of a sudden, Ruby hit the ground with her head, kneeling before Dante.
"What the hell are you—"
"I’m sorry for making him mad. My lord, please forgive me!" Ruby apologized from the bottom of her heart, tears falling heavily down her cheeks.
"What’s wrong with you? I never said I was angry at you!" Dante scratched his neck in annoyance.
’Damn, she’s bleeding! Is all that because he’s a part of me? If she had injured him when they fought, would she have killed herself?’
The more he thought about that, the more it sounded possible. Greed himself had said that she was ready to die if he ordered her. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
Dante shook his head helplessly and helped Ruby to sit, then forced her to chew one of her healing herbs, helping her head to heal without leaving scars.
Afterward, he made her create some glowing flowers and set up the tent.
’Now for the campfire...’
Dante brought some special logs and sticks from his ring. They were from a tree called candle tree. As the name suggested, the tree didn’t burn from flames, but melted like a candle.
That thing helped in giving them a better sleep without smoke, especially when they were inside a cave.
After igniting the campfire, Dante and Ruby ate a simple meal before Dante brought another tent from his ring.
"My lord, what are you planning to do with the second tent?" Ruby asked with a smile, afraid of the answer in her mind.
Instead of responding, Dante handed her the tent and everything needed to set it up.
"My lord... why are you giving it to me? Do you want me to set it up for you?"
Dante shook his head: "No, it’s for you. I won’t let you sleep on the ground like when we were in the treehouse."
After saying that, he handed her a sleeping bag.
"Can’t I just sleep in your tent? This will be better for you, as I—"
"No." Dante rejected her immediately and went to his tent.
"Oh..." Ruby kept staring at the campfire for a few minutes before finally giving up.
"Maybe another day..."
In the tent, Dante stared at the ceiling with a deadpan expression.
He just remembered something.
’Wasn’t there a dungeon that was related to a transmigrator? Should I see my luck now?’
A coin materialized in Dante’s hand, which he tossed only three times without making any sound.
But to his surprise, the results were the same as the first time.
’Skulls.’
Was that dungeon truly so dangerous that even a demonic dragon wouldn’t survive it?
Not only were his stats at the three-digit line, not only were his abilities and relics superior to others, not only did he have a slave and a bond to the silver Ether.
He also had a syringe that could awaken all of his bloodlines!
’If the coin isn’t accurate, then it’s understandable, but if it’s truly that dangerous...’
Maybe he’d have to see that after reaching Rank 3. By then, it might show less skulls, or he might have a spell better than a coin.
Dante glanced at his Wheel of Luck. Now that it wasn’t filled with misfortune, he could observe it like a normal Wheel of Luck.
It had all the colors, some intense and some faint.
He looked at the Strength Luck, noticing that it wasn’t very intense... No, it was barely visible.
’Does that mean my strength isn’t big compared to my overall situation?’
Considering everything he had seen so far, maybe that was true.
After all, a Rank 5 being was likely observing him now. What would Dante’s strength do to that being?
’Yeah, maybe I’m really not strong enough for that dungeon. My strength luck might have been intense if I were just a farmer living in a peaceful land, not a man stuck with one of the Seven Deadly Sins.’
Sighing helplessly, Dante checked the other colors out of boredom.
Wisdom wasn’t so bad.
Freedom was... decreasing. Maybe it was because of Greed.
’I hate that centipede. I’ll kill him someday.’
Violence wasn’t good either.
Health didn’t look that good.
There was a chain of protection coming from Ruby, and there were also love and freedom chains.
Dante had tried various methods to break them before, but none of them worked.
Overall, none of his sub-lucks seemed to be in a good state.
And among them, love was almost non-existent!
’I’m neither in love with anyone nor do I even have a chance, huh? Looks like I’ll die single in this stupid world. The only normal girls in this world are likely the saintess candidates.’
After checking everything that he could possibly check, Dante finally closed his eyes and fell asleep.
A/N: The updates are slow now because I started going to college. I’ll start skipping classes soon, so don’t worry
