The Crowned Greed: Transmigrated into a Demonic Dragon-Chapter 151: You Look So Beautiful Tonight
"Hmm... something is wrong here..."
A bald giant narrowed his eyes as he secretly observed a specific camp. His guts were screaming that something was wrong, and it wasn’t the fact that a mysterious person had killed a few giants.
"They grow healthier every day. Did they start eating corpses?"
The giant racked his mind in search of any other explanation, but he couldn’t think of any.
After all, even if some of them were able to secretly bring food from outside, it shouldn’t be enough for the entire camp, right?
Of course, this explanation had a flaw, which another giant pointed out.
"Grr. If they have eaten corpses, why are they looking happy? I would be disgusted even by eating a cat."
The bald giant shook his head in surrender. Unless they found a way to see what was happening inside the camp, he couldn’t think of anything else to find the truth.
For now, he only thought that they were so desperate that they were happy just to fill their stomachs.
"Let’s return and report this." The other giant said and turned around, but suddenly, he looked at the bald giant with wide eyes.
The bald giant frowned and touched his face: "What’s wrong, Andrew? Is there something wrong with my face?"
The other giant, Andrew, nodded: "Jessica, you look so beautiful tonight..."
As he said that, he suddenly took a step forward.
"J-Jessica who?"
The bald giant took a step backward, feeling that something was wrong with his friend.
Andrew took two steps forward and whispered: "Jessica, didn’t you always want to make children?"
"..."
The bald giant’s jaw dropped: "Andrew, this isn’t a good time to make jokes—"
Before he could complete his sentence, Andrew suddenly charged toward him and grabbed him into a hug.
"AH! NO, NO, NO! MOTHERFUCKER, LEAVE ME ALONE!"
"Jessica, just relax and take off your—"
BAM!
All of a sudden, a loud sound resounded throughout the area.
The bald giant felt something warm splashing over his body. When he opened his eyes, he saw that Andrew’s head was blown off.
"ANDREW!"
A shiver ran down the bald giant’s spine. Andrew was dead!
"Shit, that was a bit dangerous."
Out of nowhere, the bald giant heard the voice of a man. The voice was calming, beautiful, and attractive, as though it belonged to the best singer in the world.
He turned his head right and saw a masked man looking at Andrew’s corpse with hidden eyes.
"Who-who are you—"
"Tsk, I should be cautious with this spell." The masked man cut the bald giant off: "I know the harming thoughts are random, but isn’t attempting to assault a man too much? I had to kill him quickly before he could do anything to you. You’re welcome"
The bald giant couldn’t believe his ears.
You’re welcome?
Did that masked man affect his friend’s mind and kill him, and now he was considering it a favour?
"You will die!"
The bald giant unsheathed his sword and lunged toward the masked man, but before his sword could touch the masked man, the masked man melted into a shadow.
"Wha—"
The next moment, he felt a hand touching his leg.
"Anyway, the giants will make you follow your friend soon."
The giant felt something wrong in his body. He tried to move his head to look at the masked man, but...
"I..."
His head turned 180 degrees like an owl.
He tried to jump away from the masked man, but then he realized that his legs weren’t listening to him.. After he looked down, he noticed that they had turned into tentacles.
He tried to punch the masked man, but when he moved his hand, he only saw a crab’s claw.
He tried to swing his sword with the other hand, but what wielded the sword was a tiger’s paw.
Thud! 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Unable to control his tentacles properly, the giant fell to his face. He looked at his chest, seeing an exoskeleton that didn’t belong to him.
"I... what... have... I... become...?"
"My... voice..."
The giant’s voice was terrifying and infrequent, sounding like a chainsaw trying to speak.
Suddenly, an overwhelming pain struck his body. The pain was sharp and horrifying. He felt as though all his organs were getting smashed by a hammer and replaced by spikes and needles.
"You are turning into a mutated monster, as you can see." The man stated coldly before scratching the back of his neck: "Though the mutation is different on every part for some reason."
"However, unless you know someone experienced in black magic and healing its effects, you can’t do anything regarding this."
"So... have a nice day. Hopefully, your pain will end the moment someone finds you."
After saying this, the masked man shoved his hand into the giant’s mouth and unleashed a fire attack, burning the giant’s throat and tongue and taking away his ability to talk.
The giant screamed and cried. He tried to bite the masked man’s arm, but his teeth were completely useless. He felt like biting obsidian instead of flesh.
The masked man forced the giant’s mouth open and pulled his hand.
"That’s enough for you, I guess."
Then, he turned around and touched the body of the dead giant, turning it into a mutated corpse.
Tak, tak, tak!
Suddenly, the masked man heard footsteps from nearby trees. A strange grenade appeared out of nowhere in the man’s hand immediately.
"That was faster than I thought, but I won’t complain." The masked man shrugged before throwing the grenade in the direction of the footsteps.
Then, he raised five fingers, took a few steps backward, and lowered them one by one.
"Five."
"Four."
"Three—"
BOOM!
A red mist erupted from the location of the footsteps, rising to the sky and burning all the trees.
’So the explosion time is random, huh? That’s really dangerous. If I were a bit unlucky, I’d have suffered from the grenade before them.’ The masked man thought before melting with the closest shadow.
That was enough for tonight.
