The Crown's Seduction-Chapter 34: I Want You So Badly

Despite the relatively sunny day outside, after everything that had happened last night, Mineah was honestly not in the mood to go out. It was only a good thing then that her schedule for that particular day didn't require her to come out from her quarters.

Gregory introduced to her a few Masters from different fields and they all served as her guide throughout her learning journey. And with that, the sunny day passed Mineah by quickly with her mostly staying inside her quarters as she continued with her study.

"I feel like my eyes are burning already," Mineah tiredly murmured as she closed the book on the last of the documents she had to read.

She sighed as she looked out her window. It was already dark out, and yet Mineah's only seemed to be getting started as it was filled with lectures on both politics and etiquette that a Valrez Queen was expected to have.

"How about you join tonight's festivities, Your Majesty?" Zaila asked with a chuckle.

Mineah deliberately waved her hand and said, "Oh, please… I will pass for tonight. Let my mind rest, and I promise I'll join the festivity tomorrow night moving forward."

As much as she truly wanted to never attend such meetings, she was still expected to attend them at some point. It was a royal feast, after all, and there would be plenty of nights moving forward for her to mingle with her new subjects.

For now, she just had to focus on studying and training to be knowledgeable enough to properly involve herself in Valcrez affairs.

Smiling, she then turned to Zaila and the rest and said, "You three should join and try to be friends with others. I can manage myself from here onwards."

"Are you sure, milady?" Dani asked.

Mineah simply nodded. She planned to sleep early tonight anyway so that she would have enough energy for her plans tomorrow. Today, she just had to skip reading minds to conserve her energy. Come tomorrow, she can then hypnotize and compel Gregory to do her bidding.

Giving her a grateful nod, her three shadow maidens promptly left, leaving Mineah to tend to herself as she immediately prepared for bed. But of course, she didn't forget to also take her time going to the balcony.

Sneaking glances at Nikolai's quarters, she let out a heavy sigh as she murmured, "I wonder when he'll be back…"

Somehow, she felt down whenever Nikolai wasn't around. It would seem that she quickly got used to his presence in the short amount of time they'd spent together.

"Cold…"

Closing her eyes, Mineah tilted her head up as she felt the cold winds wash through her body. Winter was coming, and it was only made apparent by how the days slowly became colder the longer their journey went.

"I can't wait for winter," she hummed as she opened her arms as if to embrace the cold winds. Slowly opening her eyes, she stared at the bright crescent moon hanging up in the sky. "I hope you don't turn red though…"

Chuckling to herself, she eventually pouted as she realized that she was talking to the moon like it was a person again.

Another sigh escaped her lips as she mumbled, "I should rest. Tomorrow will be exhausting…"

Shrugging, Mineah went back inside and crawled onto her bed. Soon after, she easily dozed off to sleep.

Mineah stirred when she heard Nikolai's voice, his warm breath fanning against her ear even in her sleep.

Slowly opening her eyes, she sluggishly whispered, "Lai?"

Sure enough, he was already there. He was hovering on top of her. He didn't respond, but he leaned closer to her as if to survey what was his.

"I missed you," he hummed before it was followed by his lips pressing against hers. She opened her mouth to speak, but Nikolai only took that opportunity to slide his tongue inside her mouth.

Mineah's eyes widened as the kiss deepened. She was so lost at the sudden drunken state Nikolai made her feel that she didn't know how to respond. All she knew was that it felt good whenever his lips claimed hers like this.

Unknowingly, she let out a few soft moans as the sensual feelings she was having began engulfing her very being.

It all happened so quickly. The next thing she knew, his hands were already aggressively roaming her upper body, bluntly cupping one of her breasts as he caressed and molded his warm palms on her curves.
