The Cursed Demon Prince-Chapter 237: Beautiful Memories
Salistra’s eyes swept slowly across the room before landing on Hades and Lilith. "What do I owe the pleasure of your visit?" Her sharp words sliced through the silence.
"You knew about it, didn’t you?" Hades spoke through gritted teeth.
The witch held his gaze. "I have not the slightest idea what you are speaking of, your...,"
"Do not fucking do that. You know exactly what I’m asking about." His nose flared, anger radiating off him. "Don’t irritate me any more than you already are."
A small, knowing smile curved her lips. "I warned her before the ritual even began. Seeking the favor of Urda is no simple task. It comes with grave consequences one cannot escape." She adjusted the fall of her dress. "If you’re here for my assistance, I’m deeply sorry. There is nothing I or anyone else can do."
"That’s fucking nonsense!" the prince barked. "You are a high witch. You must be able to fix this. Lilith cannot die, not for me, not for anyone. She must live, and you will ensure it."
"I’m afraid I cannot help you," she replied calmly. "I am only a witch. I cannot go against a god. It is ridiculous and impossible. I advise you to spend the remaining..."
Her words cut off with a gasp.
Hades was suddenly in front of her, slamming her against the wall. Dust and debris rained down as his hand tightened around her throat.
"You seem to forget who you are speaking to," he growled. "I will not hesitate to snap your neck right here and now."
"You may do as you wish," she strained out, her voice hoarse. "It will not change anything. The rules of the gods cannot be broken. They must be fulfilled."
Seeing how quickly things had escalated, Lilith rushed forward, gripping Hades’ arm. "Hades, please. Let her go. I told you, there is nothing she can do. This won’t help anyone."
Hades froze at her touch. Slowly, he released the witch and stepped back, shoulders slumping in defeat. A suffocating silence fell over him before he whispered, voice broken,
"Take my soul instead. I will give my life in exchange for hers."
Salistra caught her breath, massaging her bruised neck.
"I can’t do that," she said softly. "I’m deeply sorry, Hades."
The emotion in her voice startled Lilith, making her glance at the witch.
"Take him away," Salistra continued, her tone returning to its usual coolness. "I have work to do."
Lilith nodded, gently guiding the prince out of the crypt. Her stomach tightened painfully at the sight of his despair. It tore her apart knowing there was nothing she could do to ease his suffering, nothing at all.
As they stepped into his chamber, Lilith closed the door behind them and turned to Hades, who sat at the edge of the bed with his face buried in his hands. She knelt down in front of him, her fingers gently threading through his silky hair.
"I cannot bear to see you like this, Your Highness," she whispered. "I know this is painful, but do not let it take away the joy of the few days I have left."
She pulled his hands away from his face and cupped his cheeks, holding his gaze with her own. "Let’s enjoy this moment to the fullest. I want us to spend every special second, every precious minute building beautiful memories together. Can you do that for me?" Her thumbs stroked his skin softly.
His throat bobbed as he swallowed, and Hades nodded slowly.
Lilith smiled, leaning closer. "Good." Her lips brushed his cheek, then his jaw, peppering soft kisses across his skin. "I want you to make love to me."
"Gods, Lilith, I..."
"You don’t need to say anything, my love," she breathed. "Show me. Show me everything your heart wants to speak. I want to feel every part of you."
Her fingers moved to his shirt, working the buttons open one by one before sliding the fabric off his shoulders. Lilith shifted closer, pressing her lips to his in a deep, lingering kiss. Hades responded instantly, kissing her back with a hunger that made her tremble. His fingers slipped into her hair, tugging lightly, enough to sting, enough to send shivers of pleasure racing down her spine until her toes curled.
Breathing heavily, she pulled back just enough to look at him.
"I love you, Hades. Now, tomorrow... and forever."
Hades grazed his teeth lightly over her bottom lip. "I love you so much, Lilith. It’s overwhelming so much it threatens to split me open because my body cannot contain everything I feel for you." He kissed her nose, then her eyelids. "What will I do without you? How do I live without you, my love? I... I..."
Lilith pressed her fingers gently to his mouth, stopping the words before they could break him further. "You’ve always been strong," she whispered. "Nothing will change that, not even this. You will survive it, all of you will."
She didn’t wait for his reply. Her hands slid down his torso to the waistband of his trousers, loosening the lace as she pressed her body firmly against his.
The lace of her dress had loosened, and she felt the fabric slip from her shoulders, then her waist, until it pooled at her feet. The cool breeze brushing past her bare skin made her acutely aware of just how exposed she was. In the next breath, she was gathered into his arms and laid gently against the softness of the bedcovers, her naked back meeting the warm sheets.
Hades wasted no time. He slid into her in one deep, fluid motion, the sudden rush of pleasure forcing a moan from both of them. His thrusts were deep and unrelenting, each one hitting so perfectly that the bed creaked beneath them. Lilith embraced the mix of pleasure and pain, her body burning with every movement he made. Her nails dug into his shoulders and back, desperate to ground herself as the sensations overwhelmed her.
Hades’ groans, low and raw, filled her ears as music that sent electrifying shivers racing through her entire body. His hands, his lips, his warmth pressed flush against her... it was all too much, pushing her right to the edge of insanity. Her breathing turned ragged moments before her release shattered through her. Her body shook violently, wave after wave taking her under as she drowned in the intensity of her orgasm.
With one final thrust, Hades followed. His mouth fell open as pleasure ripped through him, leaving him momentarily senseless. In that moment, nothing existed but the two of them.
After what felt like a lifetime, his awareness slowly returned. His gaze settled on Lilith, who looked just as sated as he felt, her skin glistening, her eyes soft, her lower lip caught between her teeth. His heart swelled.
She was, without question, the most beautiful thing in the world.
