The Dark Extra: Awakening of SSS-Skill Demon Emperor Legacy-Chapter 75: Agares Ruthless
Chapter 75: Agares Ruthless
Arnold turned to look—none of his soldiers had managed to escape from the ice magic.
His eyes returned to the front, where he saw Milenia standing beside Leon, defending the city’s people.
Their courage inspired the other adventurers to stand up as well. They lined up beside Leon’s party and drew their weapons.
The people of the city united—not to support Agares, but to protect their home from invaders.
Arnold had no choice. If he forced a battle here, he’d be easily defeated.
Milenia possessed the strongest power among them. One swing of her magic sword could freeze every kingdom soldier in the city. Beating Arnold would be no challenge for her.
"You dare to go against the Kingdom?!" Arnold shouted.
"If you try to turn our city into a place of oppression like this, then yes, I will fight back," Milenia replied.
"Besides, no one will ever know if we kill you here. People on the surface will assume the monsters got you," Milenia added coldly.
"From your words, it’s clear you intend to kill us!" Arnold said, visibly shaken.
He didn’t know what to do. Fighting meant death. Not fighting meant losing the trail of Agares.
He was truly trapped in a dilemma.
"Hand over the teleportation token," Milenia ordered.
Arnold clicked his tongue in frustration. He never expected that he, the Commander of the Kingdom Forces, would be humiliated like this by a mere mage.
He slapped his magic pouch and tossed the token. Milenia caught it and stored it away.
Without teleport token, they wouldn’t be able to return to this place freely anymore.
"Leon," Milenia called.
Leon turned to her.
"You and your party will escort them back to the surface," Milenia said.
Leon nodded. Milenia handed him four teleport tokens—one for each person. They could bring back a maximum of five people at once.
Milenia smiled. She deactivated her ice sword and snapped her fingers, shattering the ice that had trapped 120 kingdom soldiers in the city.
Arnold watched his troops freed, then looked back at Milenia.
"Never put Midgard City into your kingdom affairs again. Do you understand?" Milenia said sharply, her tone full of warning.
"Yes... we understand."
One by one, they were taken back to the surface using teleport tokens via the crystal stone.
With the military threat gone, the citizens—people of many races—gathered to thank Milenia.
They called her their savior. Even if she worked as a courtesan, that didn’t matter. Milenia was someone who deserved their respect because of her power.
"Goro."
Goro stepped forward when she called his name. He stood before Milenia, who still wore a serious expression.
"Demonkin are the native and majority race in this city. I want you to form a team to guard the crystal stone."
"Guard the crystal?" Goro asked. free𝑤ebnovel.com
"The teleport tokens are obtained from merchants on Floor 50. Only adventurers who’ve passed Floor 50 can enter."
"Check their exploration records. Ask their reason for coming. That way, we can minimize spies."
"And don’t forget—humans are a troublesome race. There might be some city natives who betray us and act as spies for the Kingdom."
"That’s why you must ask their reason for leaving, and organize their departure accordingly."
"Do you understand?" Milenia asked.
Goro nodded firmly. Milenia chose him for this task because he was a well-known, competent demonkin who had lived in the city a long time. He was the best choice to protect it.
"And what about Agares?" Goro asked.
"If he returns, bring him to my residence. I have business with him," Milenia said firmly.
"Understood."
Elsewhere, the dungeon hallway was soaked in fresh red blood. Body parts and human organs littered the floor.
Cries of pain and suffering echoed through the corridor—desperate pleas for help.
But no one was around to hear them.
STAB!
Agares stabbed the Shadepiercer sword through the throat of the enemy party’s leader, piercing flesh and shattering the bones in the back of his neck. The blade plunged all the way into the ground.
That’s right—Agares had killed them all. Not a single one survived to talk.
"HAHAHAHA!"
"Scream! Come on, scream!"
"Beg for help."
"Beg for mercy."
"Ask me to save them."
"Weren’t you so confident you could kill me, huh?!" Agares roared.
"I hate people like you... always interfering in my life without knowing the truth."
"Your words hurt me. Let me take your tongue."
Agares reached into the man’s mouth. The man wept uncontrollably, his tears mixing with the blood in his mouth—now filled with filth and gore.
With one hard pull, Agares tore the tongue from his mouth, holding the pink flesh in his hand. He laughed loudly.
"HAHAHAHA!"
"Look! This is your tongue."
"Well? Can you still talk?"
"Oh, maybe I should take your eyes too."
The man tried to scream, but his throat had been stabbed, his tongue ripped out, and his strength was gone. He was utterly broken.
’I shouldn’t have challenged him,’ the man regretted.
Agares gouged out both of the man’s eyes and crushed them in his hand. Now, he was blind, unable to speak, and barely alive. There was no chance he’d ever report Agares’s actions.
"Aoi."
"Y-Yes, Master?" Aoi replied, still hiding in fear.
"Can you heal his throat?"
"Heal it? But didn’t you—"
"No."
"It’ll be better if he lives. He’ll suffer more than he ever imagined."
"I think I can do it... but it’ll take time."
Agares smiled. He withdrew his sword and told Aoi to begin healing. Aoi used her power, wrapping her fox tail around the man’s neck to heal the wound.
Not only that—Agares took out an HP potion and poured the liquid into the man’s mouth to make sure his HP wouldn’t hit zero.
This way, the man would live.
"You should thank me. You get to live."
"But maybe you’ll spend the rest of your life remembering what I did to you."
"Remember me—Agares—the one who tore your tongue out and gouged out your eyes."
Agares stood and looked at the bloodstains on his clothes. He left the four adventurers dead, sparing only the one man to live.
He might wish for death, but death would be too quick.
He needed to suffer first.
For an entire hour, Aoi worked to heal the man’s throat. At last, she succeeded.
The fox collapsed, exhausted from using up all her strength. The man sat up weakly, clutching at his face and mouth.
Agares grabbed his magic pouch and stored it. He took out a teleport token and set the destination: back to Midgard City.
Using the man’s hand, Agares activated the token. The broken man was teleported back to Floor 55 in his mangled state. In an instant, the blue light carried him away.
"You’re... cruel, Agares."
"Sorry. I lost control."
Agares turned and stretched his hand, gathering the lingering essence of darkness from the fallen.

"Get some rest. I’ll loot their item first."
"Sure, Agares."
