The Dawn of the New World-Chapter 13 - The New Kid
A few hours later a carriage arrived at the camp, the Imperial Guards!
They took Hao Xuan away and gave some sort of a powder to Sgt Wei, he was to mix it in their food and have the soldiers drink it. He did as he was ordered and fed the powder to the soldiers, they soon fell unconscious. After a few hours, they slowly woke up but remembered nothing of the last 24 hours.
Thus, Hao Xuan vanished from the beast world for the foreseeable future.

The palace of Fortuna City was absolutely massive. It covered an area of about two million Sq meters and was located right in the middle of the inner city. It was cleanly divided into two parts, one belonged to Princess Mei Yin, and the other to Prince Mei Shu.
The Princess was the oldest of the royal children at 18 years of age but her mother wasn't the Queen, instead the royal concubine. The Prince was the youngest at 11 and was born from the Queen.
The carriage carrying Hao Xuan traveled for several hours and went straight to Prince Shu's palace. There, it was received by Royal guards and he was brought into a small pavilion at the back of the palace. There were two people present in the pavilion waiting for Hao Xuan, drinking tea.
The soldiers carried him in, put him on the bed and then left silently.
One of the men had long black hair and was extremely handsome, the other was a much older man with a long white beard going down to his chest.
"Please," the black haired man respectfully said to the other.
The old man got up and went up to Hao Xuan and put his hand on his forehead as it lit up for a few seconds. Then he moved it around all over his body, and in the end went back to his eyes again, when suddenly his expression changed.
The younger man who was sitting there looking at the whole scene frowned, "what could make the old doctor change his expression, at his age," he thought.
The old man came back and sat at his original spot, with a puzzled face.
"What's wrong?" the younger man asked after not receiving any response from him.
"What's this child's background?" the old man asked.
"Nothing. He is a human who was just brought over to Beast world," he replied.
"Hmm. I don't think you should get this child involved in your affairs," the old man replied after pondering for a few seconds.
"What? Why? Please explain," the younger man said with a perplexed expression.
"He has a very unique constitution. Or rather, his eyes. Something is wrong with them. I've seen many cultivators with unique bodies and constitutions, but the ones with special eyes are extremely rare, and even among them I don't know which he has. You should be well aware, even though several of the Princes and princesses have unique bodies, they aren't that special," the old doctor said.
"The few people that do have such bodies are extremely eccentric. Their powers usually belong to the spiritual type and are feared by all. I don't know what his abilities are but if its anything like I think it is, you might be nurturing the very being that brings about your destruction. My advice, either kill him right now or help him with all you have. Don't get on his bad side," the old man said as he got up and walked out.
The younger man sat there thinking for a good 20mins or so. Then he got up and walked up to Hao Xuan. As he looked at his peaceful face, he couldn't comprehend how such an innocent little boy could ever become one of the monsters the doctor mentioned.
*sigh*
"Alright, I'll make a bet on you. I hope you will live up to your potential," he said as he took out a small pearl and crushed it. Some sort of an energy came out of it and entered Hao Xuan's body through his nose and went to his brain. He struggled for a few seconds but then everything calmed down again.
"Sleep well little one," he said smilingly and walked out.

Hao Xuan woke up a few days later.
"Where am I?" he wondered as he looked around. He tried to get up but his body froze and he almost fell.
The two extremely beautiful maids heard the commotion and suddenly came running in, "Young master, are you alright?" they asked worryingly.
"Hm? Young master?" he asked looking at them in shock.
"Oh my god, our young master has gone dumb!" one of them screamed and ran out.
"What? Did she just call me dumb and then ran out crying herself??" he asked the other maid bewildered.
"Young master, do you remember your name? Do you remember us?" The other one asked.
"My name is Hao Xuan and I'm-" as he was trying to remember, suddenly his head felt like it was going to explode. There was a searing pain and he almost passed out again.
"Ahhh, young master, please don't die! I'll go call the general," the other one also ran out screaming.
A few seconds later a tall handsome man with long hair came running in. He looked at Hao Xuan and suddenly smiled.
"I thought something serious had happened. Those two are always so protective of you. Are you okay now?" the man asked with a kind smile.
"Um, do I know you? Where am I?" Hao Xuan asked awkwardly.
"You don't remember?!!" the man asked surprised.
"I remember my name, but that's it," he replied.
"Hmm, well I guess it's not that unexpected, you were in a serious accident after all," the man said after a few seconds.
"Your name is indeed Hao Xuan. You are the son of an old acquaintance of mine. After he passed away you had nowhere to go so I took you in. The accident I spoke off happened a few days ago when someone tried to take Prince Shu's life. You heroically stepped in and saved him.. You've been in a coma ever since," the handsome man said meeting Hao Xuan's gaze.
