The Devil's Warrior Queen-Chapter 481: Killing A Mysterious Man

Danny stomped angrily into his father’s grand mansion. They were bodyguards placed at every intersection of the house which wasn’t unanticipated as an influence of his father’s ugly and risky business since his father’s rivals could attack them any time without notice.

The body guards watched him but they knew who he was so none of them said a word as he barged into his father’s office where he was likely to be.

He saw his father and his three older brothers discussing, but they stopped immediately, as their attention was concentrated on the person who dared to barge into the office, but their faces loosened up when they saw that it was only their little brother.

They had startled looks on their faces when they saw him. They wondered what their little brother who declined to join their family business was doing there all of a sudden.

His father was one of the prominent and most dangerous arm dealers and drug traffickers in the country and his brothers coalesced with him in the business too, they were feared and known as the viper brothers, since their father had retired but that didn’t stop him from being in the know and supporting his sons out in the business.

Danny had turned down to his father and his brothers proposal to join the family precarious business, as he didn’t want to be a part of their dangerous business since he was nothing like them, he was distant from them and hadn’t visited them in a long time until then.

His mother was dead so it was just his father and his brothers but he couldn’t be close to them because of the atrocities and dreadful things they had done as being in the business involved illegal doings as well as murder and other crimes, he didn’t want to be part of any of that, he didn’t want to live like them but they had tried to force him to join them in the business, but he was reluctant to do so as he stood firm on his decision but now, he wasn’t so sure. He was blinded by rage and desire.

"Little brother, it’s a nice surprise to see you, what’s brought you here?" His older brother, Matthew said as he walked up to him with a grin on his face. Danny’s eyes narrowed to the pistol in his hold as he fiddled with it like it was a normal thing to carry around a gun.

"Have you finally come to your senses, Danny boy?" He heard his second older brother, Jason speak as he sat lazily on the couch, peering his eyes at him while his third brother kept silent as he sipped on his liquor all through as well as his father.

He had always repulsed Jason who was the most ruthless of his brothers and more ever since he killed a woman who was their rival’s wife in front of him which left him in a trauma when he was younger, he could never forget the woman’s eyes before she died or how she pleaded endlessly only to be killed so heartlessly by his brother.

He shot Jason a glare.

"Speak up boy, have you finally acknowledged your family and have come to join in the business?" Matthew asked again, his father and his brothers stared at him awaiting his response.

"I need your help." He said with a low voice which could barely be heard.

"Speak like a man Dan! You’ll join the business soon so you have to act like a man, have some balls!" Jason’s voice echoed and his anger heightened but he obeyed knowing he was barely been heard.

"I need your help." He said louder and Jason smirked satisfactorily.

They were all eager to know what their little brother would desperately need their help for as they studied his angry and apprehensive expression.

"We’re ready to help you with whatever, so what do you want?" Matthew asked as he gave his shoulder a gentle squeeze.

Danny thought highly of his oldest brother, Matthew since he had always looked up to him as he was the only one who understood him and respected his decision instead of trying to coerce him in the past to join the family business.

He always thought of his brother as a man who was in control of his life, a man who knew what he wanted and would do anything necessary to get it, he didn’t kill without motive and he had his own policy against harming women and children which he thought was a honourable thing to do and he was always so realistic and logical about life but the fact that he joined his father’s business made him drift apart from him.

Matthew had always told him that power and money was the only thing that were significant in life and without those, one was nothing but he couldn’t believe it, his love for Larisa was stronger and it just occurred to him that he would do anything to get her.

"There’s a girl I’m in love with....I need to help her escape from a dangerous man.." He said firmly. Matthew raised his brows in disbelief at his words while Jason laughed hysterically. Who would have thought their little brother would ask them for help because of a woman.

"Are you serious Danny?" He heard his father ask in an amazed tone as he lit a cigar and took a puff from it.

"Yes, I’ll do anything you want me to do if you help me. I’ll even join the family business if you want." Danny said the last sentence firmly and a grin cut through his father’s lips.

"Sure then, your brothers will help you." His father replied almost immediately.

"Do you know who the man is?" Matthew asked.

"Not really but I think he lives with her." Danny replied in an uncertain tone.

"He’s dangerous to her but he lives with her?" Kyle his third brother asked in confusion.

"Are you going to help me or not?" Danny said, diverting the question as he didn’t want to tell them that they were married but he knew the man was dangerous and Larisa wasn’t safe with him.

"Of course we will. Just how dangerous is this man?" Matthew asked.

"He threatened to kill me." His father and his brothers faces hardened upon hearing him.

"Do you have a picture of this fucker?" Jason asked with creased brows.

"No, but I know what he looks like." Danny replied.

"Good then, do you know where she lives?" Jason asked and he nodded in affirmation.

"Good, we’ll send our own spy and he’ll be back with information by tomorrow." Matthew added in.

"Then what?" Danny asked, eager to know their plans.

"Then we kill the bastard, what else? You’ll have your woman and she’ll be safe." Jason said with a mischievous grin on his face.

Danny gulped nervously, he knew they would kill him but he was agitated because the man he met didn’t look like someone who could effortlessly be killed, he was strange and he had an eerie aura, he found the man exempted from death even though he was human or so he thought. If only his brothers saw the man then they wouldn’t have been so nonchalant about killing him.

"How will they kill him?" Danny said warily, he wanted to be sure the mysterious man would be totally dead but deep down, he was alarmed because his subconsciousness constantly warned him to beware and not go through with his outrageous plan.

"We’ll hire professionals but it’ll be disguised as armed robbers, it’ll be easy." Matthew said thoughtfully but even with the assurance given by Matthew, the uneasiness didn’t lessen instead it worsened and he couldn’t help but think he was making a mistake but still, he couldn’t back out now, he had to do it for Larisa. The strange man was only human, so he pushed the doubt at the back of his mind but they still lingered near.
