The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order-Chapter 2458: Securing a fragment
A wide smile spread across Cain’s face as he felt his strength rise once more.
"It has been a long time since treasures were truly useful to me," he thought. "The resources from the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe and the Crimson World can no longer keep pace with my power. But the treasures of Paradise... those can reach into the Fourth Realm."
The thought of what he might obtain in the future filled his heart with anticipation and excitement.
Even so, Cain did not allow those thoughts to distract him. Once he finished inspecting his gains, he handed the dark spatial ring to the Royal Guard. The only items remaining inside were resources rich in vitality and chaotic energy.
While they offered little benefit to Blutlinie, they were perfectly suited for the Royal Guard. Their cultivation paths relied precisely on that kind of energy to evolve.
With that matter settled, Cain entered meditation, stabilizing his power and ensuring his energy remained at its peak. He had no way of knowing what dangers awaited him, and preparation was essential.
The following day, Cain departed the Dark Blood Kingdom’s capital alongside the Royal Guard and Samira. Accompanying them was a force of one hundred ArchDeity Bloodline warriors. Together, they soared through the sky toward their assigned destination.
While the aquatic creatures of the Ocean of the Blood Sun were already exploring the surrounding quadrants, Cain and his personal force had been tasked with investigating a far more dangerous region—one whose inner areas could only be reached by Alpha–Omega Overgods.
Cain did not object. In truth, he had little desire to remain in the capital any longer. Although it was a cultivation paradise, the constant sensation of countless eyes watching him had been deeply uncomfortable.
Of course, he was fully aware that Samira and the Blutlinie warriors assigned to assist him were also there to monitor his actions.
Unfortunately for General Fausto, the Power of Chaos was already working silently within their minds. By the time the operation concluded, Cain would have complete control over what they remembered—and what they reported.
Even though the group had to adjust its speed to match the ArchDeity warriors, it took only five days to reach the designated quadrant.
Before them lay a vast, metallic mountain range stretching across countless kilometers. The true danger of the region, however, lay not in the terrain but in the terrifying electrical charge that filled the atmosphere. Violent currents flowed between the peaks, generating sporadic discharges of incredibly powerful lightning.
With a few simple commands, Cain spread the battalion across the area. The warriors extended their consciousness outward, carefully scanning their surroundings and ensuring no blind spots remained as they advanced.
The process was simple, repetitive, and exhausting—but it was necessary. Only through thorough exploration could they hope to find the elusive fragments of the Sacred Treasure of the Ancestor Tomb.
Lightning arcs struck the warriors again and again. At first, their bodies endured the damage without issue. But as they ventured deeper into the mountain range, the discharges grew stronger and more frequent. Eventually, the intensity reached a level where the lives of the ArchDeity warriors were at risk.
From that point onward, only Alpha–Omega Overgods could continue.
Cain and the Royal Guard pressed forward alone.
Satan, Hades, and Morningstar moved swiftly, evading most of the lightning strikes. Those that did reach them lacked the power to cause serious harm.
Cain, however, did not bother avoiding them at all.
The moment the lightning arcs entered his Stasis Force Field, their speed slowed dramatically. By the time they reached the white flames surrounding his body, they were nearly frozen in place.
The sight filled the accompanying Blutlinie warriors with awe.
Cain paid no attention to their reactions. His focus was elsewhere.
His mind was connected to the Blood Avatar, guiding it across distant lands, through hidden dangers, and steadily toward the shoreline where he had sensed the fragment.
Of course, he still performed his assigned duty, scanning the mountain range carefully. But he did not expect to find anything in this quadrant.
Finally, just as Cain finished exploring the region assigned by General Fausto, the Blood Avatar reached the shore.
After a brief search, it dug beneath the sand.
A shoulder guard emerged.
A surge of excitement flashed through Cain’s eyes.
He glanced around. The lightning storm had intensified to the point that visibility was severely limited. No one could clearly observe him.
Taking advantage of the moment, Cain assumed a meditative stance in the middle of the mountain range and focused on the Power of Chaos. Through the connection, he channeled Ancestor Power into the Blood Avatar.
A few seconds later, a white ember appeared in the avatar’s hand. When it touched the shoulder guard, the symbol of the yin–yang sun emerged on its surface.
"Yes!" Cain shouted inwardly.
"The Power of Chaos can reveal the location of the fragments."
Why the Power of Chaos reacted so strongly to these relics remained a mystery. Though Cain desired an answer, he knew it was unlikely to come anytime soon. For now, the discovery itself was more than enough.
Maintaining the connection, Cain continued channeling the Power of Chaos through the Blood Avatar and into the fragment.
The moment he did, new images flooded his mind.
His vision raced across vast distances, traversing the realm at incredible speed—until it arrived at the Dark Blood Kingdom’s capital.
More precisely, it showed him the spatial ring carried by the Dark Blood King.
"If the power reveals the nearest fragment," Cain analyzed calmly, "then it makes sense that it would show the one located in the capital."
His eyes narrowed slightly.
"I’ll send the Blood Avatar farther south and try again tomorrow."
Following his will, the Blood Avatar absorbed the shoulder guard and dissolved into the surrounding ocean. Then, moving at astonishing speed beneath the waves, it headed south.
Meanwhile, high within the storm-wracked mountains, Cain rose from his meditative stance and calmly completed the exploration of the quadrant—his expression as composed as ever, betraying nothing of the valuable prize he had just secured.
