The Eternal Bound-Chapter 53: An Awakening
Chapter 53 - An Awakening
Warning! This Chapter contains scenes of self-harm that may make readers uncomfortable.
Triqi kicked pebbles around her schoolyard listlessly. Her thoughts drifted elsewhere, about her father, about everything.
The child had to wear a hoodie again because her skin slowly became responsive to sunlight since her fight with Valan, which ended with Valan locking himself in his room. Triqi even started to distance herself from her school friends again. She didn't want them to know that Triqi was different. Triqi didn't want to be called a monster by her friends anymore.
Back to Tritan, it seemed the child had made up her mind. Her feet were carried as far as possible when, from afar, she could already feel that her father's subordinates had come to pick her up. She knew that both her mother and father would not allow the idea she had. Who would believe that someone could rise with just a drop of blood?
But Triqi didn't care anymore. Her curiosity to hear her father's voice made her determined. Triqi ran as fast as she could towards one of the dimensional gaps. In the darkest forest, to make it easier, Triqi threw her bag who knows where.
Triqi is not yet good at changing and using her powers. Therefore, the only way to go to the vampires' dimension without being picked up was to find a dimensional rift like Hakan did. Triqi had learned the technique from Hakan. Although Hakan taught her so that she could take cover in times of emergency, Triqi could also use that method to sneak into the vampires' dimension.
Passing through the dimensional gap felt like being sucked into a black hole. A moment later, Triqi was in one of the villages on the vampire mainland, which fortunately was not far from her grandfather's castle.
Speaking of her grandfather, Triqi was not sure her grandfather would also support her idea. So, just in case, Triqi entered the palace through a secret passage that connected to the castle's back garden. Only she and Georgio knew the way. Georgio told her because the path was directly connected to the tombs of the ancestors of the vampire nation.
Including her father, Tritan.
With great difficulty, Triqi tried to open the glass cover of her father's coffin. She had also been on guard beforehand, installing a spell that her grandfather taught her on the only entrance there. Triqi was afraid that someone would catch her doing and hinder her plan.
Timidly, Triqi touched her father's cold face. Her hands were shaking. She could finally touch her biological father directly.
Without wasting time, Triqi took the small knife that Triqi had stolen earlier from the werewolf nation's storage warehouse. She slipped the knife into her right hand, tied tightly so that no one would notice when she went to school this morning.
Although afraid, Triqi still cut her hand deeply. The flowing blood she immediately pressed against her father's pale mouth. The wound did not close immediately because she deliberately used the anti-vampire so that her father could drink her blood to his heart's content.
Blood had begun to seep into Tritan's pale neck, but there was no change whatsoever. Triqi began to worry. She wanted to pull her hand away but was unable to because of her curiosity and hope that Tritan would wake up.
Her blood had come out too much until Triqi unconsciously began to lean on Triran's coffin. She suddenly fell asleep before the sound of an explosion and great chaos woke her up again.
In front of her now stood Valan, whose eyes were completely red. Valan's breath, which was always calm, was now ragged, and he immediately pulled Triqi back when a black shadow came out of Tritan's body that went crazy everywhere.
Triqi, who was pushed by Valan, was unaware that her twin brother began to scream as his body was slowly surrounded by the black shadow. Not long after, Georgio and his vampire troops arrived, seeing the chaos in the sacred tomb.
Georgio immediately pulled Triqi back as the black shadow increasingly wrapped Valan's body. The wind was even able to blow away those who tried to approach until suddenly the air in the tomb became burning hot.
"Grandpa! Valan! I have to save Valan!"
Tears competed to come out as Triqi tried to reach her brother, who was being tortured by being eaten by the black shadow. In her heart, Triqi immediately regretted it. Only at that moment did she realize that what she needed to live was only her brother.
Georgio continued to hold Triqi's struggling body, assisted by his soldiers. They turned pale when hearing the howl of pain and the surge of power that destroyed half of the palace.
All the vampires began to come out of their respective homes. The land of the vampire nation shook because of someone's power.
A bright light suddenly pierced the dark sky of the vampire nation. The land was suddenly hit by a fierce wind, and silence followed.
It was so quiet that they slowly felt a bad feeling.
Someone had just risen from the ruins of the castle. His black hair fell covering his handsome face. His lips which were originally purple regained their color. Bright red, like his sharp eyes.
His clothes were not dirty at all amidst the ruins. His head slowly lifted, staring focused in one direction.
His lips curved into a smile, so charming that Triqi suddenly stopped crying.

"I found you, Elyna."
Triqi turned around, looking guiltily at her mother, who was crying behind her while covering her mouth.

Silence. The vampires bowed perfectly as Tritan's figure passed them. That handsome face looked expressionless every time he took a step. His eyes stared only in one direction, and slowly, his face turned angry when he saw another figure beside his beloved sister.
In an instant, a surge of power shook the vampire land again. Everyone there was shocked when Tritan suddenly attacked Val without warning. Great power clashed again. At least Val was still reflexively defending when someone tried to attack him.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOGS DOING ON MY LAND?! GET AWAY FROM MY ELYNA!"
The angry shout made Elyna shake her head in panic. Elyna didn't understand why Tritan, who should have stopped breathing, woke up again and didn't recognize anyone but her.
Tritan took advantage of the confusion that hit everyone to hit Val, who didn't seem to want to fight him seriously. The Alpha was thrown far away, accompanied by Elyna's screams, who cried even more seeing her husband thrown so far and stopped when his body hit a large statue until it was destroyed.
Elyna wanted to immediately approach Val to check on her condition before Tritan's hand gripped her hand tightly. His face looked angry, and Elyna was so afraid to see her brother's strange side.
"Why are you with him?! You're only mine! See how I'll kill that dog in front of your eyes!"
"FA-FATHER!"
Tritan's attention was completely diverted when someone suddenly hugged his waist tightly. Triqi cried in that hug. Everyone always said that her father was the gentlest vampire they had ever met. He was the one who reconciled the vampire and werewolf races. But the man in front of her seemed more of a dictator than what Triqi had imagined so far.
Not to mention, Triqi couldn't find Valan anywhere. Her heart was shattered into pieces. Her trembling body was piled on her father. Triqi hoped that the cruel father she had just seen was just a dream.
"D-don't hurt Mom... sob, f-forgive me. Sob, I'm-"
The excessive stress and shock made Triqi suddenly faint. Tritan's eyes slowly softened again. He immediately hugged Triqi so that she wouldn't fall to the ground.
His pale hands caressed Triqi's face, which looked restless even in her fainting. Tritan smiled slightly, then kissed Triqi's forehead gently before looking back at Elyna, who was still crying in his hold.
"She's our child, right? Elyna?"
And that smile. It was just that smile that proved that the Tritan she saw was still the same as the one she knew.
