The exorcism began in America.-Chapter 312: Desolate Mountain, Church
CLANG! A crashing sound echoed from the stairs.
The two turned towards the sound, only to see Daster, holding half a bottle of liquor, staggering to his feet from the ground.
At this sight, Pietro was momentarily stunned, then his face filled with irritation.
"Oh, Xie Te! Daster, what the hell are you doing now?"
As if he didn't hear that remark, Daster, who had barely managed to stand up straight, saw the figure approaching and raised his liquor bottle as if to offer a drink.
"Hey, dear Pietro, care for a drink? HIC..."
The alcoholic fumes from his belch made Pietro instantly hold his breath.
"Xie Te..."
Seeing Daster's completely drunken state, Pietro gave up trying to talk to him.
He reached out and snatched the half-empty liquor bottle right away.
Daster became frantic as the bottle was taken.
"Fuck! Give it back… give it back to me!"
As Daster actually tried to snatch the bottle back, Pietro stepped back to avoid the wildly flailing hands.
"How did he end up like this?" Monte stepped forward two paces to Pietro's side, asking with some confusion.
The Exorcist already dealt with the Bizarre possession, so why isn't this bastard back to normal?
When Monte asked, Pietro shrugged and guessed, "No idea. Maybe... it's related to whatever he got up to yesterday?"
"Give me back my booze..."
Daster swayed slowly closer, but when he looked up, he saw Monte's somewhat mocking expression. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
The drunken haze that filled his mind seemed to be instantly sucked away by something.
After giving Monte a complex look, he turned and walked away, no longer wanting the half-empty liquor bottle in Pietro's hand.
Just then, a familiar voice suddenly came from the villa's main entrance.
"Hey! Guys, what happened?"
"Sam, good morning!" Pietro, seeing the figure at the door, immediately put on a smile.
"Good morning. But what's with him?"
Sam took off his sunglasses, hung them on the collar of his floral shirt, then looked in confusion at the drunken Daster.
"Er..." Pietro exchanged an embarrassed glance with Monte. "You know how some people just can't stay away from booze."
"Oh." Sam nodded in understanding, but a sharp glint flashed in his eyes for a moment before he changed the subject.
"Good news, guys! I've found a really fun place, and I'm sure you'll like it!"
Sam announced his good news to everyone with a beaming smile, his gaze then fixed on Daster, who was standing still.
"And there, I've prepared a lot of drinks! How about it, shall we head out now?"
Faced with his friend's enthusiastic invitation, Pietro hesitated before finally declining awkwardly,
"Sorry, I'm afraid not right now. Camille isn't up yet, and with Daster in this state, it's not suitable..."
Just as Sam's smile began to fade, Daster suddenly interrupted, "No, I can! I want to check out this 'really fun place' right now!"
As he spoke, he dragged his wobbly body in front of Sam. "Can we leave now?"
"Of course!"
Sam looked at the drunkard beside him without a trace of disdain. Instead, he responded with a hint of pleasant surprise.
"Hey, Sam… Sam..."
Watching them leave, Pietro wanted to stop them, but they seemed dead set on going to the place Sam mentioned.
Standing at the villa's entrance, watching the car speed away, both Monte and Pietro furrowed their brows deeply.
"Damn it, how are we going to explain this to Camille?"
"That Sam... why does he always give off such a weird vibe!"
...
"A wasteland? An abandoned church? Xie Te, is this what you call a fun place?"
"Okay, okay! We're almost there!"
"Keep an eye on that Daster guy!"
After hanging up the phone, Pietro gave Camille an awkward smile.
"Honey, we've found them!"
But the smile on his face only earned him an eye-roll from his girlfriend.
"Pietro, where is it?" Monte, sitting in the driver's seat, broke the odd atmosphere with his question.
"The location is..."
With the exact location, Monte nodded slightly and then stepped on the gas, racing towards the destination.
After more than half an hour's journey, they finally saw the desolate hill and the abandoned church Sam had mentioned.
But as the car reached halfway up the mountain, an iron fence blocked their path.
"This should be the place! The car can't go any further; we have to walk the rest of the way!"
Pietro, following Sam's instructions over the phone, took the lead and squeezed through a hole in the fence.
Here? Fun? Monte thought, looking at the weed-choked path, a deep skepticism in his eyes. How could this obviously derelict place possibly be called 'fun'?
"Hey, Monte! Hurry up."
Pietro's call from ahead forced him to temporarily put aside his doubts and crawl through the hole to follow.
"Coming!"
After navigating the overgrown path and passing through a dilapidated doorway, the three of them finally saw Daster again.
"Xie Te! You bastard, are you still drinking?"
Seeing the figure sitting on a broken chair, hugging a liquor bottle and giggling foolishly, Camille felt a surge of annoyance rush to her head.
She strode over and snatched the liquor bottle from Daster's arms.
"Oh, Camille..."
Recognizing the person in front of him, Daster could only let out a helpless wail.
"Where's Sam?" Pietro asked with some confusion, seeing Daster was alone.
"Him? He said he went to pick up friends of his girlfriend. Word is, they're all gorgeous..."
Whether it was the alcohol's effect or not, Daster's expression seemed somewhat lecherous.
"Girlfriend?" Pietro was stunned. Since when did Sam have a girlfriend? He never mentioned it to me...
Just then, a noisy commotion suddenly came from the entrance of the abandoned church.
Judging by the sound, it seemed to be a few young women.
Those must be Sam's girlfriend's friends!
As the noise from outside grew louder, several figures walked in one after another.
"Hey, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to 'Game Paradise'!" Sam, who came in last, laughed and stepped forward to embrace Pietro.
"Allow me to introduce you!" Sam pulled a woman in a tight yellow T-shirt into his arms. "My girlfriend, Lilia!"
"Those two are her friends, Legley and Michelle! Most importantly, they're all single..."
Upon Sam's suggestive introduction, Monte's eyes immediately lit up.
Since his chances with the goddess of his dreams were practically zero, it was definitely time to pursue a new romance.
