The extra is a fox eyed jester-Chapter 41: The first timeline II
This was it.
A scene Azazel had only seen in his previous life, one he remembered clearly, save for his own name.
This was an epic cutscene, one every player talked about.
An anonymous member of the community had even turned it into a fem war between Leona simps, Tyrisa simps and Veyre simps.
Looking at the scene below, Azazel couldn’t help but marvel at their strengths.
"Monsters, they’re fucking monsters!" He muttered with disbelief.
They clearly weren’t in the realm of mortals anymore, they were basically lesser gods.
The battle below was proof enough, speaking of which...
He returned his focus back to the battle between Elias and Kyle.
The two princes were going at each other with everything they had.
It was less a battle between warriors and more of a battle between beasts.
They held swords but they fought ferociously with hands, teeth and blades alike.
Kyle’s gauntlet struck the cuirass of Elias’ armor.
It struck with a deafening thud but Elias only moved a few steps then used the pommel of his sword to strike Kyle across the face.
"You bastard." Kyle snarled.
His punch connected to Elias’ face which snapped backwards with a sickening thud.
"Ugh..."
For a second Elias saw stars, his vision white.
Kyle was already reaching out, blades outstretched aiming to gut Elias.
However the blonde haired protagonist was faster.
He grabbed Kyle’s hand with a firm grip, yanked him forward then slammed his head right into the nose of his demonic elder brother.
"Argh—uck..."
Now it was Kyle’s turn to see stars and his... his stars were much more cruel than Elias’ stars had been.
He didn’t just see white, he saw purple and he could’ve sworn his skull had a crack.
He staggered backwards but Elias didn’t let up.
A brutal kick struck his side sending him skidding across the ruined earth like a rag doll.
Kyle struggled slightly to stay upright, his ribs creaked like a door with rusty hinges.
"Puahhh—ack" he coughed up a mouthful of blood, eyes blurring into focus just enough to see Elias walking towards him with slow, measured steps.
Sol glowed within Elias’s hand with a gold radiance, blazing like a mini sun.
Kyle summoned his great sword, the fang of Belial.
A deep indigo Aura enveloped his blade.
Throughout the entire exchange, Azazel had never missed a single scene.
Even as a gamer he’d never played up to this stage, he’d only seen from videos from its communities, uploaded by members who’d actually managed to reach the end, at least the bad ending at the final scene.
He knew they were yet to go all out, because he couldn’t even measure the level of concentration their auras had.
But that was about to change, they were done testing the waters.
Elias moved first, chanting the sword song as Sol beat with a steady rhythm alongside his heart.
"Flames that crowned the first dawn the breath of the endless sun, let your will beat along my pulse and vanquish the dark from sight, sword heart, the first stance..."
In response, Kyle snarled.
"Fang of Belial, first seal: demonic awakening."
Kyle’s transformation was visible.
Fangs protruded from his mouth, his sclera took on a blacker hue while his iris became deep indigo.
His frame beneath the armor rippled with muscles, skin turning a pale shade while veins of deep purple graced his skin.
He chuckled, his voice beastly and ominous.
"Look at that radiance, once again you’re taking the spotlight. It was always about you, wasn’t it? Ever since the day you awakened I’ve been forced to eat your dust, to be discarded as a nobody, that man never once looked at me the same as he did the others... all because you decided to be better in everything, no matter what I did I couldn’t catch up, couldn’t reclaim my place in our father’s life."
His voice had taken on a darker edge, his emotions palpable.
"I tried at first, but of course your achievements just had to outshine everything, HOW DARE YOU PASS SUCH A JUDGEMENT ON ME, WHEN YOU RUINED MY LIFE, WHAT DO YOU EVEN KNOW!!!" He roared, his fury thick with killing intent.
Elias eyes widened, pupils dilating.
His lips quivered slightly while his grip on Sol had faltered for just a fraction of a second.
He mouth parted then clamped shut, then parted once again yet no words could be formed.
He swallowed subtly then finally spoke.
"You didn’t have to resort to this, all of this. You were the smartest one of us siblings, even though you were a brute, I still envied your intelligence. You could’ve been something more than your current self at least in the research fields, not this." 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
Kyle felt his eyes twitch, and then he laughed. Broken, maniacal.
"What do you know Elias, what do you know. You think I had it easy after the fall of our kingdom? No! Unlike you playing tag with your party I suffered, I fucking suffered, while you had comrades to watch your back, everyday was a fucking nightmare to me, after the fall I found myself on the border between the demon realm and our world, you think I had the luxury of choice?"
His eyes burned with pure, unfiltered hatred and beneath it was agony in its rawest form.
Elias could only stare in response, he had no words, had no idea what his brother had been through.
Even though Kyle had been nothing but a trauma to him, his brother still didn’t deserve what he got.
"I..."
Elias tried to speak but Kyle was quick to shut him up.
"What do you want to say? That you understand? That you know what I went through? No Elias you don’t, you don’t know the half of it don’t look at me like that, don’t fucking pity me, I’ll kill you!"
Without warning he charged in, his silhouette blurring as he moved at a speed impossible to mundane eyes.
Elias grunted, then responded in kind.
While Azazel watched the entire exchange with severe concentration, he didn’t know that akathartos the tainted sun, the corrupted blade had begun to devour him.
