The Extra's Advent: My Villainess Fiancée is a Yandere-Chapter 25: Silver-Grade Dungeon
Next day, morning.
Outside Everbright Academy, in Karyal City.
Luke and Mira were waiting at the meeting point for Team Gray to arrive.
"What do you think?" Mira asked Luke.
Luke sighed softly.
"Let’s not jump to conclusions just yet. It’s only our suspicion."
"You’re too soft, even after everything you’ve gone through... fine. But we’ll keep an eye on the target."
Mira folded her arms, reluctantly agreeing.
Luke smiled faintly, his crimson eyes sharpening.
"But don’t worry. If our suspicion is true... I’ll kill it myself."
...
Cael arrived at the meeting point and looked around for the others.
Soon, he spotted Luke and Mira.
He raised an eyebrow.
"Where are the other members?"
Mira smiled mischievously.
"I forgot to tell you. Team Sparrow only has two students; him and me."
Cael blurted out,
"What?"
Luke sighed and pushed his hair back.
"What can I say? My team originally had two other girls, but they fell for my handsomeness instantly. So... for the sake of their future, I had no choice but to ask the instructor to separate us."
Cael’s eyes twitched.
’Why do I feel like he’s picking on me?’
Cael took a seat opposite Luke.
"And the instructor agreed to your request?"
Mira answered immediately.
"The instructor had no choice. Luke and I have the Council backing us."
Cael inwardly sighed.
’Not only is the plot changing, but even his personality is shifting. The main body needs to speed up its plans.’
That’s right.
He was merely Cael’s wind clone.
He looked at the two of them and asked,
"I’m curious though. Why select my team to cooperate with? Why not Elowyn’s team? Don’t try to cover it up. I know your personalities very well. You two always stole the best cards from me when we were kids."
Luke and Mira laughed awkwardly.
"Haha... since when did I do that? I’m a very honest player, you know," Mira said while turning her head away.
Luke gave a fake cough before answering,
"Well... to be honest... we did ask Elowyn. But she refused our request and told us to ask you instead."
Cael’s eyes widened.
"She did?"
Mira nodded.
"She sure did. You’re a lucky guy, you know."
Cael turned his gaze toward the busy streets and muttered softly,
"I certainly am lucky... to receive her love without doing anything."
’Now that I think about it... Isn’t the main body neglecting Elowyn?’
Within ten minutes, the other members of Team Gray arrived.
After exchanging a few brief words, the two teams began their journey toward District Kazi.
...
Meanwhile,
Cael entered a dungeon while wearing a face mask.
After brainstorming for a long time, he had finally figured out what kind of skills would truly suit his SSS class.
Now, he had entered this low Silver-grade dungeon to try his luck.
Not only that, but he had also learned that some of the creatures here possessed special skills that allowed them to disguise themselves.
Cael had needed a proper disguise skill for quite some time.
This was an open dungeon. The moment he stepped through the portal, he was teleported into a dense forest.
The air was damp. The trees were tall and crooked, their branches blocking most of the sunlight.
Cael drew his sword from his space pouch and began surveying the area.
"GRRRAAAH-HEE!"
A distorted roar echoed from a distance.
Cael pulled his hood lower over his already masked face and moved toward the sound.
Soon, he found the source.
"YEE-HEE-RAAAGH!"
"KHRAAAAGH!"
They are Gnolls.
Hyena-faced creatures walking upright like humanoids. Their laughter-like shrieks echoed through the forest as they tore into something off-screen.
Usually, gnolls hunted in packs.
Which meant these two were not alone.
Black lightning crackled faintly around Cael’s body as he took a silent step forward.
In the next moment, his figure blurred as he emerged from the shadows behind the gnolls.
Before they could react, his sword flashed.
—THUD.
The two gnolls collapsed, their bodies hitting the forest floor without understanding what had killed them.
Cael flicked the blood off his blade.
"Let’s begin."
Cael’s target wasn’t the gnolls.
But if he encountered one, he wouldn’t hesitate to hunt it down.
At the moment, he was only using Black Lightning. Due to its shadow attribute, it produced minimal sound.
So, it was very useful, but at night... it would be even better.
Just then...
"RAAAGHH–KHEEE!"
"KRRRRAAIIIII!"
"YEE-HEE-RAAAGH!"
More than twenty gnolls emerged from the trees, forming a loose circle around him.
They sniffed the air aggressively.
’Did they track me by scent?’
’Thanks for the reminder. I should get a skill that removes odor.’
Cael wasn’t particularly worried. He had AOE attacks.
Still, he was lacking real combat experience.
He took a slow breath.
A silver aura, laced with faint sky-blue motes, began enveloping his blade.
It was Moonlight, his special element.
He launched himself toward the nearest gnoll.
But unlike before, he didn’t use Black Lightning to instantly close the distance.
Using two special elements simultaneously would drain his stamina and mana too quickly.
He had to limit himself to one at a time.
Seeing him charge, one of the gnolls lunged forward, its claws swinging wildly.
It connected, but its claw passed straight through him.
Afterimage.
By the time it realized something was wrong, its head had already separated from its body.
Cael didn’t want to engage them head-on.
So, he retreated.
...
Cael had no intention of wasting time fighting gnolls.
If they continued to pursue him, he wouldn’t mind sending them to the afterlife.
Soon, he paused beside a riverbank.
The dungeon was entering its night phase.
The forest grew darker.
Then he heard it.
A weak, trembling voice calling for help.
"Sa-save me..."
Cael turned toward the sound.
A girl lay near the river, her leg visibly injured. She looked up at him with pleading eyes.
"Sa-save me..."
She repeated the same line. Again... and again.
If Cael didn’t know better, he might have fallen for it.
