The Orc after taking over the Northern Pass settled down there while preparing for the upcoming fights.

On the other hand, reinforcement slowly started to appear on the Orc side.

Meanwhile, the Orc started to send their scouts didn't stop and the Orc's group started to spread out.

Lesh forces along with Lucas rested and recovered for some time but they didn't sit still and as soon as they recovered, they started to work again to rescue the citizens.

They formed a small group and moved around informing the villagers to evacuate to the nearby cities.

Occasionally, if they would meet with Orcs they would blend into normal humans and retreat trying to avoid a battle as much as they could.

With Orc's superior numbers, they don't have a chance against them.

Their topmost priority was to save as many lives as possible. About the matter of territory, it would be solved as soon as imperial forces arrived.

But contrary to their expectations, the Imperial forces didn't arrive on the third day.

Since they have no way to communicate with them, Lesh ordered his men to carry on the rescue task and move the people.

Meanwhile, Lucas fell into deep thought.

There is no way Imperial forces would neglect this matter cause the situation is already quite bad unless they were in big trouble.

Lucas tried to run his mind and even looked at his diary where he had written all the major events he could remember but he found nothing.

After thinking for a while, the only thing he could think of was something happening in the background.

Although the Orc invasion was a threat, if seen from a broad perspective,it wasn't big enough to influence the whole plot because random skirmishes like this happen all around as they were generally subdued by others.

Even at times like this demons and humans would be fighting in the background secretly without no one knowing about it.

It was as if you read a newspaper about certain events in the morning and spoke some words and moved on.

But only the people involved in the particular incidents knew the horror of what was going on and Lucas was in a similar situation.

Logically he should just run away from this place after all who knows whether he would be lucky next time or not but his conscience didn't let him.

As everyone sat down to discuss, Lesh looked around the map.

They have already evacuated 59 small villages out of 83 in this region.

Due to the evacuations, the Orcs found it easy to take on the villages without needing to waste any time dealing with human villagers.

In a way, the Orcs benefited due to this and were able to take over those areas faster.

"If this goes on they will reach the city quickly," Xanth spoke with a solemn expression.

"They are moving quite fast. They have already conquered the 40th village and plundered the things."

"Unlike sizable numbers like us, they have numbers to rotate the shift and send forces."

Hearing this, Lucas wanted to cry but he didn't even have tears to shed and his eyes were too dry.

Except for his golden pupil, his eyes already became blood red. After recovering for a bit, he along with others hadn't even wink of sleep.

Lucas wanted to sleep and take a rest but he didn't have leisure. If not for Lesh's calls, they would be on their way to another villager to evacuate them.

'Oh, God! Do soldiers on the borders go through this kind of hell when there is a time of war?'

'During the fourth year of Horizon, the war with demons would already be going on. At times, they have to stay in the front where the situations would be countless times tough.'

'The student of Horizons would literally die unable to keep up with the tiredness.'

Lesh listened to all the reports and muttered"We don't know when the forces would appear. We should make preparations now."

"The Sunset City is already large with a 200,000 population. If the Orc reached there, surely there would be a massacre unless there is a good leader like Sir Mason."

"We should report them to start moving," Lesh muttered.

Lesh looked around and muttered"Lucas!"

"Yeah!" Lucas nodded.

"Go to the Sunset City and inform the City Lord to act quickly and also show this badge as identity."

"But why me?"

"With my strength shouldn't I stay here? I am the second strongest here. I can already beat Sir Xanth."

Xanth who heard this was suddenly flustered.

He and Lucas had a match just for fun but who knew he would be thrashed by this boy as if he was just a nobody?

The boy literally toyed with him during the match.

"Cough...Cough.."

"Lucas, you have the skill to fly. So, it would be quicker for you to do this."

"After delivering the information, stay there and help them. The forces of the City Lord may need your help."

Although Lesh was correct logically, Lucas knew his real motive for sending him there.

Lesh wanted him to stay away from the battlefield as much as possible and now the situation had become more dangerous as more 5-Star warriors from the Orc side were moving.

"Now, on to the next thing."

"We are going to move the bases. This place will not be safe anymore. Who knows, the Orc might already be on us when we are talking."

"So, we will shift to the base."

"I and Xanth will go on evacuation. Chris, you will be in charge of moving the base."

"And Lucas also tried to contact the other side," Lesh muttered.

Lucas nodded.

The army chief has a special black phone for contact similar to a walky-talk which he handed over to Lucas and gave him the code.

After getting the set of instructions Lucas summoned the armor and rose to the sky.

Taking a last look he finally departed.
