Li Shu hurriedly waved his hand and a white light surrounded everyone and shield them from the shockwave.

Li Shu’s face become solemn as he realize the heavenly calamity had become even stronger. The progress they made to enter the tribulation was slowly recovering.

Inside the tribulation, Li Shen’s aura soared and his skin which was charred black visibly began to heal. Flesh soon covered the parts of his body that showed his bones.

Quickly, Li Shen’s original appearance returned as if he hadn’t just gone through nearly three days of fighting this deadly tribulation. However, this might just be the brilliant sparks before the sun sets, as his Divine Soul was still tittering on the verge of collapsing.

The sight was grand and dazzling, but would eventually be snuffed out.

However, Li Shen's thoughts were calm despite putting himself in this danger.

Raising his hand, a black Sword made of Time Qi materialized in Li Shen’s hand. He didn’t hesitate to slash it down towards the slowly closing path his father and the other were trying to open.

The void trembled and Li Shu along with the others felt the overwhelming amount of Time Laws. They then watch in surprise as the fading pathway stopped before its closing began to reverse.

The path was soon opened up to the point where they had stopped previously, but instead of stopping the void suddenly warped again as Li Shen slashed towards the opening once more.

A path through the Heavenly Calamity was cleaved open.

Li Shen gesture for Fei Yin, Lihua, and Mu Fan to hurry and leave.

They realize Li Shen had done all of this to give them a chance to escape.

While holding Yang Su in the green cocoon, Fei Yin looked at Li Shen with a complicated expression

Lihua was holding Jun, while Mu Fan was carrying Fang Chen. They too wore complicated expressions as they looked at Li Shen.

Li Shen seeing that they weren’t moving to the exit, frowned and said.

“Leave, I don't want you guys to die here.”

Just as Li Shen finished his sentence, the lightning bolts that increase in strength exponentially furiously slammed against his Qi Sea domain, leaving cracks in it.

They were still being protected by a golden halo.

The lightning that seeped through these cracks, was absorbed by the Qi Sea and was guided to the golden core that was about to finish forming in the center.

Fei Yin gave Li Shen a bow before he heeded LI Shen’s orders and turn around to hurriedly dash towards the exit.

Mu Fan gritted his teeth but he turned and hurried towards the exit. He pulled on Tai's arm, who had tears streaming down his face as he looked sadly at Li Shen.

"Little Snow won't forgive me if you die, so you can't die!!"

Tai yelled at Li Shen.

Mu Fan's heart was extremely heavy. This was the second time he was abandoning Li Shen to fight for himself. It was just as heart-wrenching and frustrating as it was the first time. f𝑟𝑒ewe𝚋𝚗૦𝐯e𝘭.c𝗼𝓂

“Don’t you dare die when I haven’t gotten my rematch yet you bastard!!”

Mu Fan’s voice echoed out as he went as well.

A smile couldn’t help but slide its way onto Li Shen's lips when he heard that, but his eyes were contradicting as sorrow was the only emotion in them.

Lihua was the only one remaining, and she looked at Li Shen silently.

“The water pearl can’t help me. It’s better if you kept it since it’ll help in your future cultivation.”

Lihua bit her lips as her mind was indeed racing with thoughts of how to use the water pearl to help Li Shen.

Li Shen didn’t know what that pearl was, but he could tell it was a natural treasure of heaven and earth of some sort. It was releasing strong fluctuation of water laws. If he wasn’t mistaken, she got it from Qiang's brother.

Lihua's eyes redden and tears well up in her eyes.

Never had she thought that when they decided to enter this dimension all of the things that happened would happen.

Jun was in her arms unconscious, his body barely flickering with vitality. While Fang Chen's condition was unknown. She had used her water pearl soul healing properties to protect their souls but, over the days their conditions were deteriorating.

Now, in front of her, Li Shen was likely going to die after she left.

“Lihua, my father is just outside the tribulation along with the elders. If you don’t hurry, Jun might die.”

Lihua seemed to awaken to her senses. She gave Li Shen a final glance before turning around to leave. The tears that were being held back fell down her cheeks as she reached the exit.

Just outside the exit, Li Shu and Fu Wei stared at Li Shen inside.

The distance between them was several thousand meters but they could see each other clearly, even through the thick bolts of lightning falling from the sky.

“Little Shen.”

Fu Wei mumbled, but it was drowned out by the consistent loud explosions of lightning and thunder.

Li Shu moved to rush into the Heavenly Calamity, but the path suddenly shrunk and his steps froze.

Li Shu looked at the edges of the opened pathway and saw that it was only open because dark energy emanated with Time Laws was preventing it from closing.

Li Shen could have closed the path immediately after Lihua exited, but he wanted to see his family possibly for the last time.

He hoped his sister Li Ling and his mother were alright and wouldn't grieve too much.

Complicated emotions rose in his heart but Li Shen turned to face the Heavenly Calamity.

“Father, what is little Shen doing, doesn’t he want our help?”

Seeing Li Shen’s actions, Fu Wei turned to his father and frantically asked.

Li Shu remained silent, but his heart was burning with unwillingness.

But he hesitated, and during his hesitation, the path shrunk once again before fully closing.

Just before the pathway closed, Li Shen fully completed his ascent to the Core Formation Realm. At the same time, the Heavenly Calamity increased in strength.
