Shiming closed his eyes and briefly sent his senses into his dantian to observe his Blade Will. It was around three feet in height and was radiating a pale red aura.

Seeing that nothing was wrong with it after scanning it, Shiming opened his eyes.

'After the torture I went through I was finally able to condense this Blade Will from the Blade God's Bloodline in my veins. It must be reacting due to that bastard's own Blade Will.'

Though Shiming speculated this was the case, he was a bit doubtful since his Blade Will's reaction was too violent for just coming into contact with another Blade Will.

'Well, no matter what it is, despite its undeveloped form his can't be compared to mine. I will only get stronger as it continues to develop so I have no need to worry about the likes of those dead Second Prince's friends. Though I have enmity with that fucker, I won't let it overshadow the task granduncle has entrusted to me. After the Hidden Fragmented Realm closes, our Blade God Ancient Clan will be the rulers of the four continents. I can deal with him then if he isn't dead.'

Shiming smirked.

Meanwhile, back at Mu Fan and the others, Lihua's tongue became numb and she was exhausted from all the frustration Mu Fan caused her. 𝒇𝗿𝙚ℯ𝑤ℯ𝑏𝒏𝑜ѵe𝙡.c𝐨m

Looking at Mu Fan's dazed expression, Lihua gritted her teeth.

"This idiot, does he even know how stupid his actions were?"

"Lihua, let's calm down first. Mu Fan, he-"

Jun didn't get to finish his words as he was glared at by Lihua.

Sigh

Lihua sigh then took a deep breath before saying seriously via voice transmission.

'We know that the Ming Clan and the Demonic Cult are allies because of the spy Faction Leader had implanted in the Ming Clan. But after he went missing we have no eyes or ears on what they're up to. We speculate it might have something to do with the Chosen Tournament and that's one of the reasons we should be on alert after we reach the Star Bound Continent.'

'Is it really impossible to reach that spy in the Ming Clan?'

Li Wen asked.

Lihua shook her head and responded.

'Faction Leader used one of his abilities to force him to become his subordinate. Unless it's the Faction Leader he won't take orders from anyone.'

'Then this is troublesome. Young Master told you about those two working together because he suspected the Ming Clan was joining forces with the Demonic Cult to attack our Li Clan after the ancestors leave.'

'We'll just have to find Master on the Star Bound Continent, until then we'll need to keep an eye on both of their movements.'

Hearing that Lihua glared at Yang Su and said.

'You, don't say anything. Don't think I forget what you did back at the battle arena. How stupid can you get?! Seriously, what would have happened if a blood-oath calamity had occurred to you? Worse of all given that it's you a lightning tribulation would have likely occurred instead, endangering everyone!'

'But-'

Yang Su went to retort it worked out in the end, but Lihua glared at him causing his mouth to clamp shout.

Lihua's shoulders suddenly slumped. It felt like she was taking care of reckless little kids. The only one that was acting their age was Li Wen, but she was exhausted at this point with the others.

'Senior disciple brother, what you said before, about observing the Ming Clan and Demonic Cult's movements, it's going to be difficult since our forces haven't been established on the Star Bound Continent fully. Half a year is too little a time.'

Jun said seriously.

Sigh

Lihua sighed again.

'Alright, let's end this discussion. Nothing is going to happen until we reach the Star Bound Continent. I'm heading back to my room. And be careful, ever since elder Chun left my Soul Pearl sensed more than a dozen Soul Sense from elders on the ship examining us. Do. Not. Cause. Any. Problems.'

Lihua's eyes widen as she pronunciation each of her words.

Everyone nodded, and with that their voice transmission conversation ended.

Jun watched as Lihua rubbed her forehead as she got up to leave, but from the corner of his eyes, he saw Mu Fan was still somewhat dazed.

"Mu Fan, are you alright?"

"Huh? What?"

Mu Fan snap out of his thoughts, and he saw Jun looking at him with a concerned expression.

"Bastard Jun, nothing's wrong with me so stop worrying."

Mu Fan went to push Jun away, but Jun suddenly grab his arm. With a serious expression on his face, Jun said.

"You're lying Mu Fan."

"Ugh."

Mu Fan groaned. He forgot about Jun's ability to tell when someone was lying.

Glaring at Jun, Mu Fan said.

"Stop snooping with that ability of yours. I said I'm fine because I don't want to talk about it, don't be annoying by pushing me to answer you. That's what annoys me the most about your personality, you don't know when to back off."

Jun hearing this paused before releasing Mu Fan's hand. From his expression, one could tell he was somewhat upset.

"So much for showing my concern. Fine, if it's just going to get thrown back in my face then forget I said anything, you ungrateful bastard."

Jun after saying that stood up and went to leave.

Seeing this, Mu Fan realized he might have said too much.

"Ugh, bastard Jun, what are you so upset for?"

Mu Fan jumped up to stop Jun from leaving, but suddenly, something occurred.

The ship that was flying at full speed suddenly ground to a halt.

"Ahh!"

"Fuck!"

"Damn it, what's happening?!"

All the disciples that were caught off-guard were slammed onto the ship's deck and into each other because of the sudden cut of inertia. Their cries of shock and confusion filled the ears of Yang Su and the group who were relatively okay since they were at the edge of the ship away from the crowd to crash into anyone.

Regaining their footing, they all looked around.

"What's happening, why did we stop?"

Tai asked.

"I thought the ship's journey was too smooth. I wrote it off as it being because of the Sea Beasts heading to the Borders to attack, but looks like we've faced the first obstacle in our travel."

Lihua who came back said with a solemn expression.

"No, I don't think it's Sea Beasts. I don't sense any around the ship." 𝗳𝘳𝐞e𝙬𝙚𝚋𝗻𝚘𝚟𝗲l.𝑐𝑜m

Everyone turned to Fang Chen as he said that, remembering he had the ability to sense Spirit Beasts, which must include Sea Beasts as well.

Fang Chen turned to Yang Su and asked.

"How about you?"

Yang Su went silent for a brief moment as he circulated his cultivation method to try and sense any Sea Beasts nearby.

Back when Yang Su was in seclusion after Li Shen's disappearance, he had to deal with Spirit Beasts being attracted to him. Using Tai's help he manage to figure out he could use the cultivation method Li Shen created for him to completely mask whatever aura he was releasing that attracted Spirit Beasts.

But he also figured out he could somewhat reverse the aura's effect, by using it to sense when Spirit Beasts were nearby.

After a brief silence, Yang Su shook his head. His range was quite limited, so it should be obvious that if Fang Chen couldn't sense anything he wouldn't be able to.

"But if wasn't because of Sea Beasts, why did the ship stop? No, from what just happened didn't it feel as if something had made the ship stop?"

Everyone in the group's face turned serious upon hearing Jun's words.

Something was wrong.

It was at that moment a commotion suddenly occurred among the crowd of disciples. Everyone was looking outside of the ship in the distance.

Yang Su and everyone in the group followed the crowd's gazes.

Yang Su saw a familiar silhouette that was very much closer than when he first saw it. His expression immediately changed.

'No, what is he doing here?'

Yang Su's heart then began to beat violently. All of a sudden the threat of death washed over everyone on this ship.

"Who is that?"

Mu Fan asked, but an answer immediately came.

"Sea King Modu, what do you want by attacking us?"

Shi Chun said as he suddenly flew into the air, his face held a solemn expression. At the same time, he crushed a jade slip hidden in his sleeves.

'What is this, why is Sea King Modu here?'

Shi Chun's heart was filled with worry, this was the worse situation imaginable. Rather than a Sea Lord attacking them which was a low probability, it was the Sea King instead. Which no one had even considered, not because of negligence but because he had no reason to.

'I don't know why he's here but I need to still for a time. If not then I'll just battle him if I have to.'

Shi Chun clenched his fists.

In response to Shi Chun's words, Sea King Modu didn't even look at him. Instead, his attention was focused on scanning the disciples on the ship. After a while, his gaze stopped on Yang Su and the others. He felt the blood essence on his forehead trembling with excitement.

"Got you."

Sea King Modu said with a malicious grin as he took a step forward.

His figure disappeared and immediately after the barrier surrounding the ship shatter like glass meeting a boulder.

Sea King Modu's figure then appeared on the ship. Without his gaze leaving his target he took another step forward.

BANG

BANG

BANG

Several bangs suddenly echoed out. These noises were the sound several dozen disciples made as their bodies exploded into a bloody mist.

Before anyone could register what just happened, Sea King Modu was already in front of Fang Chen grabbing towards him with eyes filled with greed.
