None of them said anything as they remained silent, enjoying this little peaceful time with each other before parting ways once again.

The night went quickly as day arrived, before they knew it was already time for Bai Yunxian’s departure, though Yun Shu couldn’t be seen anywhere near the party leaving for the East.

For the sake of incognito visit and convenience, they used a merchant caravan as planned, and a side special palanquin for Bai Yunxian.

All the family members bid goodbye to him, till he left their sight. But Yun Shu was still nowhere to be seen.

"Where did this unfilial son of mine go? He didn’t come to see Xian’er off!" Mother Yun was pretty annoyed at Yun Shu’s unusual behavior. Because the young boy would be disappointed since he didn’t get to meet her for the last time.

However, Father Yun consoled her as he patted her shoulder, saying, "Don’t get angry, dear. It’s about time you went to Shu’er and bid her goodbye as well."
