THE GOD EATER-Chapter 185: Outnumbered Again.

Unfortunately for the warriors of the Martial Body Sect, they didn’t get their wish. Not only that, their enemies still had strength to spare after fighting each other.

Now that their enemies had settled their infighting and were focused on the city again, nothing good could happen. The only saving grace was that they outnumbered the people of the Four Directions Sect.

22 people from the Four Directions Sect, including Greg, had come for the attack. Greg was gone now, and so was the poor man that he shot to death earlier. This left 20 people who could still fight.

On the other side, the warriors of the Martial Body Sect still had 89 people after Greg bombarded their balistae and walls, killing the people there at the time.

So they outnumbered the Four Directions Sect by more than four to one. This fact bolstered their courage. Not that they need it to fight. They could always create their courage out of thin air.

As it turned out, the ability to create the courage to fight with their Dao Heart refining technique came in handy because they quickly lost the advantage of numbers after four beast masters released a swarm of wasps, a pack of wolves, a large vine plant, and an army of snakes.

The large vine plant was a single plant, but it had tens of vines that it used as appendages to ensnare and attack everything around it. So this single plant was easily worth 20 people.

Together with the other enslaved beasts and insects, the Four Directions Sect quickly outnumbered the warriors. And this was just with four beast masters. There were still 16 other cultivators from the Four Directions Sect yet to make a move, so it could be said with certainty that the 89 warriors had been surrounded by 20 enemies.

As the fighting started, Loki examined all of their enemies with the Power Identification Ability. He did this to make sure that there was no one he should be wary of.

When he saw that there were truly no rank 4 enemies among the warriors, he sighed in relief and said, "That makes one thing that Greg was right about. They really haven’t replaced the rank 4 giant that was killed."

Then he smiled and said, "Time to earn merit points."

As he said this, he raised his sword and charged at the enemy. By charging, he was actually flying towards their enemy. But even before he reached them, he equipped his rail guns and fired armor-penetrating rounds at them.

Most of the warriors were rank 3 cultivators with level 2 Dao Heart status, so their power didn’t reach 1,000 points in power. This is why the cannonballs were able to easily kill them.

Since the power of his ranged weaponry was 3(Telekinesis) × (3(Mind) + 450%(Energy Well)) × (5(Life Ability) + 4(Energy Amplifier) + 4(Force Lever) + 4(Living Armament)) × (250% Skill), which was 956.25 units of power, he could take them head on with the just his rail guns.

The other one was a transformation cultivator and had a similar level of power. But only the transformation cultivator required him to fight head-on with his sword.

The fact that he was able to defeat Greg and send their tyrant of a leader running only meant that they had to be more cautious with Loki than they were with Greg. It didn’t mean that they would follow him to death.
