The Golem Mage-Chapter 383: Source Of The Challenge.
At this very moment, the mages of the War God Mage Academy disregarded the orders of the royal Mage Academy to not enter the Arena region.
As they rushed in eagerly, waiting for the smoke to settle, anxious to confirm if their Rookie king, Alec, had survived the attack or been injured.
They had all witnessed Alec’s impressive display of single-handedly defeating the mages of the Royal Mage Academy, by releasing his golems on them, which brought joy to their faces.
However, regardless of the outcome, they were all hopeful that Alec had survived Lucky’s attack, considering the extent of destruction caused by the lightning assault.
Eventually, as the smoke cleared, they realized that Alec was unhurt, He casually inspected his torn robe, grumbling about it being ruined.
His golems retracted their minions who were several injured or damaged as he complained.
The students of the War God Mage Academy were relieved to see Alec maintaining his nonchalant attitude even after enduring such a powerful attack, as it indicated his ability to still handle the situation, and them not having to leave the Arena anytime soon.
Lucky looked at Alec curiously and asked,

"Are you Alec Gordons?" Alec, with one hand in his pocket and the other dusting off his burnt clothes, looked up at Lucky with confusion.
"So, you attacked me without even being certain if I was the person you were after?, That’s amusing. Nevertheless, I am Alec Gordons, However, I am curious about this person who desires a rematch with me, I’ve heard rumours, but I have yet to discover their true identity," Alec said.
"Ah, that is not me, but if you wish to meet the individual who eagerly awaits a confrontation with you, you must first defeat me!"
Lucky declared, spreading out his hands and conjuring another bolt of lightning.
A grin spread across Alec’s face as he scoffed,
"Defeat you? Don’t make me laugh, You are not worth our master’s time, Any one of us here can defeat you, What makes you think you’re so special?"
Oni’s words caught Lucky’s attention, but the emotionless mask on his face made it difficult for him to discern Oni’s true feelings in that moment.
"Master, let me fight him, I promise to target numerous painful areas that will still keep him alive," Legion said with his mechanical voice, as his laser spear light showned brightly.
"I believe I am the only one worthy enough to deliver his badly battered body to Master, I have never failed a mission I’ve been sent on," Titan interjected confidently, making Legion angry.
Lucky glared at the competing golems, showing their eagerness to face him driving him mad with anger.
"How dare you look down on me Alec Gordons!, Do you really think your toys stand a chance against me? I will destroy them all!" Lucky exclaimed, his frustration boiling over.
Alec calmly stepped forward, gesturing with his hands for his golems to settle down.
"Of course, I know they would annihilate you if I unleashed them upon you," Alec stated, deliberately aggravating Lucky.
Lucky had analysed their power levels immediately after they survived his AoE attack, and he was certain that he wouldn’t stand a chance against all of them.
"But I do hold a grudge against you, so I am going to take care of you personally, When my brothers were brought back to the peak mountain, traces of lightning energy were present in their wounds."
"That’s how I could trace it back to you, as you seem to be the only mage with the lightning element among this whole group," Alec explained, concluding with a question.
He opened his hands wide, waiting for Lucky’s response.
"Of course, it was me, I won’t deny something I have done," Lucky admitted, only to be interrupted by a loud bang. "Ahh!" he cried out in pain.
With a newfound caution, Lucky studied Alec.
The fact that he had just confessed to inflicting injuries on Arthur and Kelvin made Lucky wary, because In the next instant, he saw what seemed to be a bullet flying towards him.
Although Lucky, being of the lightning element, had move to evade the bullet, it still grazed him, causing immense pain.
Lucky locked eyes with Alec, who tilted his head to the side with an outstretched hand, two fingers pointed out as if mimicking the act of shooting.
"Oh, you were able to dodge that quite well, Let’s see how fast you can move when there are two of those bullets," Alec taunted, raising his second hand.
Lucky didn’t waste a moment as he utilized the Flash Step, disappearing from Alec’s view.
However, to his surprise, Alec unleashed the two dark rock bullets that had formed in front of him.
These bullets were an upgraded version of the runes inside Alec, Since he no longer had a mana pool, the runes had practically been etched onto his bones.
This meant that he wouldn’t receive another rune from those elements as he entered the next level, but instead, his innate spells would be upgraded to the next level with each realm he broke through .
The old stone bullet spell had transformed into something called a Terran bullet, It was more durable than before and, unlike before, Alec could now control the bullet’s trajectory within a range of 15 meters from him.
Alec guessed that this control was linked to his mental stats increasing , though he hadn’t yet tried combining the upgraded innate flame spell with the Terran bullet innate spell.
However, he had a feeling that it would be one hell of an attack.
Sweat began to bead on Lucky’s forehead as he changed directions, trying to outrun the speed of the bullets.
No matter where he went, they followed him relentlessly, and he was reaching the limits of his Flash Step spell so felt he had to near Alec and desperately wished he could figure out how the bullets were able to change direction so seamlessly.
Bang!
Just as Lucky was contemplating, he heard another gunshot.
When he glanced at Alec’s hand, he saw the flickering runes and realized that Alec had already shot another bullet.
Yet, Lucky hadn’t even seen it yet.
Suddenly, everything changed, Lucky started tumbling to the ground, forced out of his Flash Step spell prematurely, and he knew that only happened when he was hit while performing the spell, he still couldn’t figure out how the bullet had gotten so fast that he could not trace it.
As his body hit the ground, a deep pain shot through Lucky’s legs, indicating where he had been struck.
He tried to get up, but Alec mercilessly shot multiple Terran bullets at him.
Each bullet created holes in his hands and legs, causing his blood to flow out, Unable to withstand the onslaught, Lucky collapsed onto the floor.
As Alec slowly walked towards him, his left hand tucked back into his pocket while two of his right fingers stretched out, Lucky couldn’t help but tremble under his gaze.
"You weren’t even able to make me use more than 20% of my powers, yet you come to War God Mage Academy and dare to hurt a member of my clan, You must be eager for death," Alec’s voice dripped with anger and menace.
Meeting Alec’s gaze, Lucky understood the full extent of his rage, He watched in fear as the bullet materialized once again, knowing that this time death was truly closing in.
The bullet was aimed directly at his head, and if Alec released it, Lucky would meet his end.
But just as despair began to consume him, a voice broke through the tension.
"Don’t you dare harm him!" it shouted, reaching Alec’s ears.
Alec raised his head, finally recognizing the familiar faces before him, It all began to make sense why he had been entangled in this challenge situation from the start.
"You and you," Alec said with a surprising indifference, as if his anger had completely vanished.
