The Golem Mage-Chapter 438: War Of Sweden City (6).
The skeleton lich forcefully stamped his staff on the ground four times, causing the space gate behind him to swirl with increased speed.
As Alec anxiously watched, anticipating the unveiling of the undead creature that was about to emerge.
Even Beatrice, intrigued by Alec’s theory, couldn’t help but watch, as she silently thanked her luck that it wasn’t her responsibility or Pale’s to command the students situation.
As she felt they would unable to outsmart the Lich in tactics, Beatrice’s thoughts were interrupted as something finally emerged from the gates.
The first thing they saw was the head of a horse, engulfed in eerie blue flames, as it confidently stepped out of the portal and revealed its entire body.
Perched atop the horse was a skeleton adorned in worn and rusted armor, with its long sword still sheathed in its scabbard, the top of its helmet also flickered with bluish undead flames adding a type of dangerous vibes to his appearance.
The creature emitted the aura pressure of a Tier 4 lifeform, a formidable threat even from a distance.
As Alec and the three commanders all realized the danger it posed from their different locations, just when they believe it would be a solitary arrival, however, to their surprise, another entity emerged from the space gate.
This new arrival stood at a towering 6 feet, his armor seemingly crafted from the skeletons of various creatures, and merged into a blue armor, on to his chest and both knees were adorned with skulls.
Resting on his shoulders was an immensely large great sword, its hilt adorned with bone symbols.
Upon witnessing the appearance of the second undead creature, Alec turned to face Beatrice and spoke,
"I mean, do you see what I’m getting at?, The Lich have seen and acknowledge pale’s display of power, which is precisely why he’s dispatching his best warriors to deal with him, if only he had listened, we wouldn’t be in this predicament, as I would still have spare cards to play" Alec expressed with frustration.
"Seems like you all have forgotten who we’re up against, when it comes to fighting this race, they have an unlimited supply of warriors to replace the fallen, they are always prepared, we can only strategize and hope to prolong this battle until the blood moon wanes or until we find weak points in each new breed of undead they throw at us, "
" And I believe the Lich is the only one able to convey messages to the undead army waiting on the other side of the space gate," Alec explained.
--
But Alec wasn’t the only one who discovered the Lich’s ability to summon reinforcements with his staff, Agnes, too, had been closely observing.
"I believe the Lich is able to send signals for reinforcements to the rest of the undead army, who are waiting on the other side of the space gates, it seems incredibly agitated at the moment, Not only have its skeleton warriors failed to gain an advantage,"
" but they’ve also lost any advantages they used to have on all fronts, and currently, it seems more inclined to eliminate pale first,"
Agnes deduced from her observations of the Lich’s focused gaze on pale, who was now feeling the pressure of being watched by three Tier 4 life forms.
"Then it’s settled, the real key to ending this war is to kill the Lich since it controls the entire undead army, if we eliminate it, no one will be able to pass through from the other side again," Knight concluded.
"Remove those thoughts from your mind, Knight, the Lich is not an entity that can be easily killed, and Alec warned us to stay clear of it for now," Agnes cautioned, urging Knight to release his grip on his dual daggers as the two new undead creatures began their assault.
The horse-mounted undead charged straight towards the army of skeletons, currently being engaged by the weary Swedish city guards.

The city guards rotated their tired warriors at the frontlines to maintain their stamina and effectively fight off the skeletons, utilizing their innate strength advantage.
The Tier 4 captain of the city guards initially wanted to express his anger towards Alec for not clearing out the skeletons first freeing them up.
However, after witnessing Alec’s strategic maneuver that effectively eliminated previous threats that their city found troublesome, he calmed down and realized that Alec was someone with a tactical mind.
He believed that Alec was the type that didn’t mind sacrificing others to achieve his goals, and the fact that they were already engaged in this war meant they were prepared for potential sacrifices.
So, he decided to put some trust in Alec, despite Alec observing the ongoing fight from a higher vantage point, since they were in the same war, and there demise would not benefit Alec.
"The undead targeting the Swedish city guards is called skeletal knight, and the one tasked with dealing with Pale is called a bone knight, neither are good news at all."
"This time, I may have to call upon my ace card to provide support on both fronts, even though it’s a challenging request, I’m asking you to split your focus on two places," Alec began to explain but before he could finish Beatrice had already summoned her puppet spider and swiftly switched from the horse to riding atop her spider, charging forward.
"Too much strategizing is boring, I’ll just go ahead and take care of the problem. That’s what you want, right?" Beatrice declared, gesturing towards Alec.
" yes, and don’t you dare get yourself killed out there!" Alec shouted , turning to Brandon and Arthur.
"Take four hundred mages with you and go support the city guards."
Confused, one of the present Tier 3 sergeants questioned Alec,
"But don’t they already have the advantage?, I thought you were planning to deploy your army where it’s needed?"
Observing Alec’s every move on the battlefield, the sergeant was impressed by the strategic maneuver he had done with the mages under his command.
It almost seemed like Alec was playing a game of chess to him, alec looked at the sergeant and instructed,
"You follow them too, they might have the advantage now, but believe me, they’re about to be slaughtered if they’re not assisted soon, now don’t question me, just follow your superior’s orders," Alec said, knocking the mages on his head from atop the horse back.
"Is this the one you claimed to have found as your successor?, I think you need to search harder, as Alec Gordon shares nothing with you except the fact that both of your masters are from the Dunce clans," General Edward complained.
He had expected Alec to lead the charge into the battlefield with drawn weapons, seeking blood.
However, Alec had been playing a game of cat and mouse with the undead, meticulously moving his student army around the battlefield, almost as if he was playing a game with the Lich, wagering the lives of his student army as the stakes.
"When I said I found a successor, I never said he would possess all of my qualities, however, Alec does have my killer instincts,"
Selene interjected, mentioning her perspective on the matter, and Edward grunted in response.
"All I’ve been witnessing are his scheming instincts; nothing else, It’s as if he transformed into someone else the moment you landed an army in his lap, where is the bloody Alec who relentlessly pursued the fanatics of the evil sect, fueled by what they did to a single town?" Edward continued to voice his frustration.
"Well, let me enlighten you, this war definitely cannot be won solely by individual strength, or else Sweden City wouldn’t find themselves in such a predicament that they would need to seek our help, I believe Alec is viewing it from that perspective,"
" Give him a chance to prove himself and see if he delivers, and if he does, then you will accept him as the one I want to pass my mantle to, if he fails, then there’s nothing more to say, as the undead hordes will slaughter everyone present, including him!"
Selene responded with cold, resolute words that assured Edward that her chief disciple had not been bewitched by Alec’s handsome face.
