The Grand Duke's Son Is A Heretic-Chapter 450
The Heir of Veydrin. The eldest legitimate son. Ramos Veydrin had run away from home unable to bear the pressure.
What he left behind was just a small note saying he didn’t want to be heir and even willing to shed the Veydrin name.
That day changed Ruth’s life forever. Everything flipped upside down and nothing was stable again.
"If I am a monster, he is more than a monster," Ruth finally said in a low voice, his tone heavy.
Kael watched him closely and noticed the discomfort in his expression. ’He is not comfortable speaking about his past,’ Kael thought silently, taking note of the observation.
"Whatever!" Kael shrugged his shoulders lightly, trying to ease the heavy air. Then he asked, "So why are you telling me all this bias now?"
Ruth turned his gaze sharply toward Kael, meeting his eyes directly. His voice was firm as he spoke.
"It is because I wanted you to know how much of a monster one needs to become if one wants to take this seat."
Kael nodded slowly.
"Ohhh!"
"I see. That’s what you want me to understa—"
His words froze mid-sentence as something suddenly clicked in his mind. His eyes widened and he stared at Ruth with growing horror.
"Wai... Wai... Wait a minute!" Kael said quickly, his voice trembling slightly. He took a deep breath and pressed a hand against his chest, trying to calm the rapid beating of his heart.
"Let’s make sure I did not misunderstand it." He swallowed. "You mean to say that I will..."
Ruth took a long puff and then blew the smoke out slowly. He closed his eyes for a brief moment. Silence filled the room before he finally opened them again with a resolute expression.
"You wanted to govern a piece of land."
"Hm!" Kael nodded.
"Sorry, I could not fulfill your wish before. So instead, it is time for you to take this old man’s seat."
"WHAAAATTTTT!" Kael shouted, jumping up from his seat in shock.
"You heard correctly. I will declare you as the heir. The next Grand Duke of Veydrin."
Kael’s eyes sparkled with excitement and he was about to shout in joy when Ruth stood up slowly from his chair.
"However, for that, you need to inherit something."
.......
Somewhere deep inside a dark cave, silence shattered.
"FUCK!"
BOOM!
A violent blast erupted and the air shook like a thunderstorm crashing against stone. A powerful wind attack shot forward, tearing through everything in sight. Rocks exploded into dust and the walls cracked apart.
Thick pillars of stone were ripped from the ground and flung through the air like shredded paper. The violent wind storm destroyed every object in its path until nothing remained but broken debris scattered everywhere.
A lady with long purple hair stood in the middle of the chaos. Her eyes burned with rage and her chest heaved heavily. She clenched her fists, trembling with hatred. In the next moment she vanished from her spot and reappeared right in front of the man nearby.
She grabbed his collar with both hands and pulled him close, her face twisting with fury.
"Is this what you dreamt of,you fucking piece of trash !" she screamed.
Her voice echoed through the cave, shaking the air.
"Is this what you meant by fulfilling my vision, you fucking piece of shit?"
Her grip tightened, knuckles turning white.
"You said you will be Emperor and I will be Grand Duchess and Queen but what the fuck is this!"
Adele roared, unable to hold back her anger any longer.
"But instead we have become vagabonds. Running away here and there like rats!"
Her voice cracked. Her eyes burned red with tears and she refused to cry.
"Not only did we lose our power, we were reduced to some petty criminals!"
Adele shouted, shaking Rein back and forth violently. Rein gritted his teeth and grabbed her wrists, trying to stop her.
"Stop it!" Rein shouted in frustration.
"I had not expected things to develop like this too!"
"You had not expected it!" Adele’s expression froze and her voice broke like shattered glass.
"You had not expected it. You had not expected it!" she repeated again and again, her voice trembling with disbelief.
"How can this be ..How can this be...ARghhhhh!"
"I can’t believe I trusted someone like you."
"Then why did you call them in the middle instead of using secret means, you idiot!"
Her voice echoed sharply inside the ruined cave.
"I thought you were intelligent. But now I understand why we are stuck in this situation."
Rein’s eyes narrowed dangerously. His jaw clenched as he stared at Adele who had begun to laugh hysterically, like someone who had lost everything and finally snapped.
"It is because you are really unworthy to sit here," she said, her voice cracking.
"Enough!"
Rein roared and magic flared around him in a blinding surge. He released a huge wave of magic spells toward Adele. Adele responded without hesitation, blasting a powerful storm of wind to counter him.
The two forces clashed violently. The collision erupted with an explosive force that shook the ground. The cave walls shattered as if struck by an earthquake. Rocks broke apart and sharp fragments flew everywhere like blades.
The entire cave collapsed into ruins, blasted into pieces by the overwhelming power of their attacks.
Dust and broken stone filled the air, swallowing everything in darkness.
Just then,a strong presence appeared, swallowing everything.
"Enough, you two!"
The voice struck through the chaos like a hammer hitting metal. The force behind the voice made both Rein and Adele fall silent.
The result of the clash was swallowed and neutralized, leaving nothing.
Their chests rose and fell as the dust settled around them.
From the darkness, a vague shadow began to move. The figure slowly stepped forward until it took the shape of a human. Only the outline of his body could be clearly seen in the dim light. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
