Chapter 214: Chapter 214- Sorry

"Mom? What’s wrong?"

The beautiful woman had stopped talking all of a sudden and turned to look at the sky. Her expression was something the boy had never seen before, it worried him a bit.

Realizing how she made her son worry, the woman turned to him and smiled.

"It’s okay Solly, it’s just some unwanted guests have arrived."

The woman then turned back to look at the sky, her eyes gaining an icy look in them.

The boy turned to the sky as well.

They were inside a garden behind the Main Palace.

As the boy was looking at the sky above the garden, ripples suddenly began appearing.

A moment later a giant man who looked to be around three to four meters tall appeared while wearing heavy battle armor that was midnight black. frёeωebɳovel.com

However, compared to the boy and woman, this man was quite small. Even for the boy who looked to be around eight years old, he would be about waist height.

The boy observed this tiny man and from his cold and callous expression, he could tell he wasn’t here for a friendly visit.

’The Giant Race?’

The boy looked at the tattoo on the man’s forehead to identify his Race. It was a black circle with intricate lines inside.

Bang!

The void shattered resulting in a loud sound that shook the surroundings. More of these large men and women in black battle armor appeared to cover the entire sky.

At the same time, a suffocating aura of war and bloodshed wafted from their bodies.

The boy flinched at the sound and with so many people radiating this aura of slaughter, he grew nervous.

However, the woman placed a hand on his shoulder, and this seemed to have an effect on him as he immediately calmed down.

"Why is the Giant Race invading my Husband’s Realm? As a servant race you dare act so unbridle?"

The man in the red battle armor who looked to be the leader of this army, glanced at the beautiful woman.

Before he said anything, a look of desire flashed past in his eyes. Even a person like himself who has lived on the battlefield for an uncountable number of years could not resist this woman’s beauty.

But unlike most men, he was able to hide it.

"By the order of Lord Mu, we have come to carry out the punishment of Young Lord Su."

The woman’s eyes grew colder.

"What would warrant my Husband receiving a punishment?"

Without hesitation, the man coldly responded back.

"For baring a child with a Goddess from the Pantheon of Gods, he has become a betrayer of his Race. The punishment the Lord has deemed fit for such a betrayal is the immediate execution of the Goddess and the wretched offspring, before being exiled from the Heavenly Realm!!"

The man’s voice reverberated out and it sent shivers down the boy’s spine.

"Attack!!"

The man yelled once more, and the army of Giants rushed toward the mother and son.

The woman stood up and sneered as they rushed forward.

"Mom?"

The beautiful woman turned and looked down at her son with a smile.

"It’s okay, everything is going to be fine, S..."

....

...

..

"...Ol! SOL! Damn it, wake up SOL!!"

The memories faded away, and Sol slowly opened his eyes to the yells of someone.

With a hazy vision, he saw a teary-eyed Yoon-Jae standing over him.

"What... happened?"

Sol slowly raised up into a sitting position to see that he was lying in a bed inside a pavilion.

"Ouch!"

Sol clutched his head upon feeling a spike being stabbed into the back of his head.

There wasn’t actually a spike, but that’s what the pain felt like.

"Wah! I thought you were dead!"

Yoon-Jae stopped staring at Sol in shock before he suddenly jumped forward and hugged him.

"Oof!"

Sol was so weak he fell back.

"Owie, Brother Yoon-Jae, stop it hurts."

Sol’s body was aching all over and having Yoon-Jae’s full weight on top of him just made it worse.

"Watch, the bandages."

Abdu who was sitting at the end of the bed wiggled his paw and Yoon-Jae floated off Sol.

Sol sat back up and hearing Abdu’s words, he looked down to see that he was covered in bandages.

"What happened?"

Sol asked again.

Cheong-San who was to the other side of the bed said.

"After your battle with Elder Hyun-Joo, you were severely injured. We secretly came to this pavilion in the City and treated your wounds. But you wouldn’t wake up. Brother Yoon-Jae got frustrated so he tried screaming at you to wake up. To think it actually worked."

Sol saw Cheong-San smile, but he immediately noticed that his clothes were covered in blood.

Sol then glanced at Yoon-Jae, as well as the others, who were now coming up to the bed after he woke up.

They all had blood on their clothes to varying degrees.

"What really happened?"

Sol asked for the third time; Cheong-San wasn’t telling him everything.

Everyone remained silent. It was Abdu who spoke up.

"When you were unconscious, they tried different ways to treat your wounds, but nothing worked. You kept losing blood in large volumes, especially from the wound on your left chest."

Sol instinctively reached up and touched the bandages that were wrapped over his left shoulder. He immediately winced.

Sol could feel the open wound even under the bandages. However, his Innate Dharma was slowly healing it.

Sol recalled what caused this. It was during his last clash with Hyun-Joo. Despite his boost in power from his crescent moon tattoo and Holy Crest sun tattoo, Hyun-Joo’s sword still managed to cut through his attack.

But because he anticipated the trajectory of her sword slash, he was able to make a quick second decision and twist his body just enough that her sword didn’t obliterate his heart.

"We thought you were going to die from how much blood you were losing. And your Innate Dharma wasn’t healing your wounds either."

Cheong-Su said.

"Yoon-Jae also concocted as many different types of healing pills as he could from the medicinal plants and herbs we had."

Mar-Dule added.

"Luckily, you didn’t die. This experience must be fruitful for you, I’m jealous."

The sad expressions immediately fell from everyone’s faces, and they all simultaneously turned to glare at Byeong-Ho.

Byeong-Ho paused before slowly lowering the thumbs up he was showing Sol. He then scratched his cheek and turned his head to the side. He remained quiet right after.

Sol smiled at this, but slowly his smile faded as he turned to look at Yoon-Jae and everyone.

"Sorry!"

Sol yelled before he bowed his head as far as he could without aggravating his wounds.

"I didn’t mean to worry all of you, and I’m sorry for not considering your guy’s feelings when doing something like this."
