The Growth of a Titan-Chapter 415- The Plan, In Motion
Chapter 415: Chapter 415- The Plan, In Motion
As the couple walked, Mar-Yue saw Sol’s weird smile and asked.
"What evil plans are you hatching for you to be smiling like that? Is it related to why you sent Little Seong away?"
Sol put away the communication jade slip before he looked at Mar-Yue and displayed a hesitant expression.
Seeing this, Mar-Yue felt that something was off.
"What happened? Just tell me."
Upon Mar-Yue’s urging, Sol sighed before saying softly.
"Before I tell you, first promise me you won’t blame yourself."
Mar-Yue was confused about why she had to make such a promise, but then her eyes flashed. Sol wouldn’t be saying this for no reason.
Mar-Yue looked at Sol silently not making any promises.
Seeing Mar-Yue’s reaction Sol sighed once more but still said.
"The store we went to previously knew the items we might buy so they increased the prices of the items to make us pay more."
Mar-Yue’s brows instantly furrowed upon hearing that.
"How could they do something so shameless? But how did they even know what items we were going to buy to increa-"
Mar-Yue suddenly stopped talking as she remembered that the old man had accurately deduced the type of shoes she would like. She then recalled that they had visited a store previously, additionally, both stores had similar names.
Mar-Yue suddenly raised her head and looked at the sign boards above the stores nearby.
Some didn’t have Palace in their names, but one or two did.
Sol saw Mar-Yue’s actions and knew she had figured out what happened.
"Mar-Yue, this isn’t your fault."
Sol tried to say, but Mar-Yue wasn’t listening. When she recalled the amount of Aether Stones Sol spent on the items she chose, her expression couldn’t help but change constantly.
Soon, her emotions congealed into anger and discontent.
Mar-Yue clenched her small fists and ground her pearl-white teeth so hard it almost seemed as if sparks would fly from them at some point.
Mar-Yue had always been like a calm lake since coming to visit Sol, but at this moment she was so angry that a terrifying aura erupted from her body. The paved ground below couldn’t resist and instantly shattered into fragments pieces that scattered about. Numerous fissures spread out on the ground and to the nearby pedestrians walking by.
Those people were so startled by the terrifying aura Mar-Yue released that they all leaped back like frightened cats.
Some looked at Mar-Yue with displeasure while others looked at her in horror, unable to believe that a cute and slightly petite-looking girl like her could release such a fierce and murderous aura.
There were even two blue strikes of light that shot out of pupils and sent chills down their spines.
At this moment, Mar-Yue resembled an enraged tigress.
"That old bastard, I’m going to kill him."
Mar-Yue managed to spit out through her clenched teeth. Thinking back to how kind she was to Old Han when he was scamming them in return, Mar-Yue felt extremely aggrieved.
It wasn’t that she was unintelligent to not have been able to see through such a scheme, but it was just that she had never expected someone to be so brazen as to do something like this.
In the Eternal Desert when two parties made a deal to exchange items, if one of them were to renege on their deal after getting the other party’s item, then that person would be slaughtered in a heartbeat.
True to this mindset, if Mar-Yue had discovered that she was being used to scam Sol out of his Aether Stones, she would have slapped that old man to death without hesitation.
Even if he was in the Sky Expanse Realm, he was so old and decrepit that she was confident that she could suppress and kill him.
She had heard something about killing being prohibited here when she first entered the city, but Mar-Yue didn’t care, she really didn’t. She turned, about to go back to that store, but Sol quickly stepped forward.
"No, Mar-Yue, you don’t have to confront that store, the matter has already passed."
"But-"
Mar-Yue tried to argue, but Sol said.
"Don’t worry, I have a plan."
Mar-Yue hearing this recalled Sol was planning something with Woo-seong, so she nodded her head. The murderous aura around her subsided.
However, she suddenly said.
"At the very least I want to talk with that old man again."
Mar-Yue’s then vanished from her position.
Sol sighed as he vanished as well.
Ten meters away, Mar-Yue appeared with Sol blocking her way.
Mar-Yue was fast, but Sol was even faster. He wrapped his hands around her before gently picking her up and carrying her off to the side where there were no stalls or that many people walking by.
Mar-Yue thought about fighting back but soon accepted that she couldn’t return to that store.
After Sol placed her down, Mar-Yue hugged him while burying her head in his chest.
Sol patted Mar-Yue’s head and sighed.
After a while, Sol asked.
"Have you calmed down?"
Mar-Yue nodded; her head still buried in Sol’s chest.
"But how are you not angry? Those people are so shameless."
"Haha, I’m not angry, I’m furious. However, there are rules we have to play by to get back at them."
Mar-Yue retreated out of Sol’s hold and a frown could be seen on her face as she said.
"I don’t know how brother deals with the people of Jianghu. I knew they were scheming in nature but not to this extent."
Sol smiled and patted Mar-Yue’s head. He knew she would react like this, that’s why she tried to get her to promise before.
Mar-Yue paused before looking at Sol and asking softly.
"Should I return the items?"
Sol also knew she would suggest something like this. To comfort her, he held her face and said while rubbing her cheeks.
"I already bought the items so why return them? You really don’t have to blame yourself for this, okay?"
Mar-Yue met Sol’s eyes as he held her cheeks. She could see the tender affection he had for her in his gaze as well as his worry that she would continue blaming herself.
Mar-Yue couldn’t help but feel a warm fuzzy feeling appear in her chest. Unable to hold back anymore, Mar-Yue grabbed Sol’s hand and with hurried steps, led him into a secluded alleyway nearby.
Sol was at first puzzled why Mar-Yue was pulling him into this alleyway with such impatience, but he quickly realized why when Mar-Yue turned to look at him with a fiery gaze after entering the alleyway.
As a few pedestrians passed by this area, they couldn’t faintly hear what sounded like heavy breathing, however, they didn’t pay much attention to the sounds as they continued walking.
After a few minutes, Sol stepped out of the alleyway while almost stumbling over himself. He quickly corrected himself before smoothing out his ruffled clothes.
"That was a bit too intense."
Sol said as he tried to calm his surging emotions. He then turned to Mar-Yue next to him and teased.
"My beautiful Yue, how can you be so fierce? I almost thought my tongue was going to be swallowed by you."
Mar-Yue blushed slightly but quickly recovered and elbowed Sol in the side.
"Stop talking like that, you really sound like a perverted Young Master."
Sol grimaced at the elbow and rubbed the area.
Mar-Yue had actually reinforced that elbow with her Aether Energy catching him off-guard, so it hurt quite a bit despite his stronger fleshly body.
"We should go, Woo-seong should have completed the first step of the plan."
"What’s the plan?"
The two began walking towards the Purple Moon Palace as Sol responded.
"I had Woo-seong head to the store first."
"Say no more." freewebnoveℓ.com
Mar-Yue stopped Sol as he was about to continue. Her mesmerizing blue pupils which were like two full moons in the night sky flickered coldly. With just that sentence, she could deduce what the plan was.
The couple then walked in silence. Soon, a building that looked to be made of purple jade appeared in front of them.

Inside the Purple Moon Palace, a young man with a fan covering the lower half of his face was walking around the second floor of the five-story building looking at the many hair accessories in the wide display cases.
The displays cases were as high as one’s waist and there were several rows containing exquisitely crafted items. Not just hair accessories, but necklaces and bracelets as well.
The young man’s hair was neatly combined into a ponytail behind him, and he wore a black battle robe that was etched with golden threads at the seams.
With the sword strapped to his waist, this young man was undoubtedly a Young Master from a very wealthy family.
However, after this young man walked around the five floors for several minutes looking at the numerous hair accessories for both males and females, he said something to the female attendant who was leading him around the store that stunned her.
"I’ve seen a few items that are worthy of my Young Master and Young Miss, but I’ll be visiting several more stores before I make my choice. Do you mind keeping an eye on them? If I don’t return, then you can sell them as you please as it just means I’ve found better outside."
Even though the fan was blocking the young man’s mouth, his words were clear and concise. He talked like a typical Young Master from an aristocratic background.
The female attendant soon recovered and quickly said.
"Of course, Young Master, but should I remove them from their display cases, so they won’t be purchased by other customers?"
The young man shook his head and causally said.
"No need, there’s no guarantee I will buy them."
After saying that, the young man turned and walked downstairs to the ground floor before unhesitatingly leaving.
"I hope the Young Master will return."
The female attendant accompanied the young man to the entrance of the store and bowed as he left.
The young man didn’t so much as acknowledge her actions, and neither did he spare so much as a glance at the couple who were walking hand-in-hand into the store just as he left.
However, the female attendant at the entrance saw them and her eyes flickered with excitement before she turned and entered the store, almost as if being chased by a bloodthirsty demon.
