The Growth of a Titan-Chapter 421- The Goal Remains The Same
Chapter 421: Chapter 421- The Goal Remains The Same
Suddenly, Sol said.
"Brother Wei-sun, now I need an explanation from you. I was about to purchase these items when I found out the store owned by your Young Master tried to upsell the items to me. But after spending so many Aether Stones, I even suspect the other stores I went to did the same."
When everyone heard that, their expressions flickered.
However, a few people already realized what was going on between Sol and the Young Master behind Wei-sun. It looks like there was a hidden conflict going on between them. Because of this, they chose to remain silent, not commenting anymore.
Upon hearing Sol’s words, Wei-sun’s eyes suddenly flickered in thought. On the surface, it sounded like Sol was demanding an answer from him while accusing him of even more crimes, however, under the surface it seemed like he was reminding him about something.
’He’s giving me an out?’
Wei-sun thought to himself. After remaining silent for a moment, he said.
"Brother Sol, if you truly did not intend to scheme against my Young Master’s store, then prove to me that you have enough Aether Stones to purchase those eight accessories."
When the crowd heard that they understood Wei-sun’s intentions.
Sol claimed he was just about to purchase the items, but if Wei-sun was right, Sol had no more Aether Stones and was trying to scheme against the store to get the items.
The people in this store waited for Sol’s response, meanwhile, Mar-Yue and Woo-seong felt their hearts skip a beat and turned to look at Sol, slight worry appearing in their hearts.
As everyone was staring at him, Sol smiled and nodded.
"Sure!’
He then flipped over his hand and took out a storage bag before casually tossing it to Wei-sun.
When Mar-Yue and Woo-seong saw this, they were momentarily stunned. They weren’t too sure how much money Sol initially had, but they had estimated that it should be less than one hundred million high-grade Aether Stones.
Any more than that and he would be too wealthy.
Wei-sun too was doubtful in his heart when he saw Sol toss a storage bag towards him.
After catching the storage bag, Wei-sun looked inside.
As expected, there weren’t any Aether Stones inside, just a medicinal plant and a piece of paper that looked like it was torn from a book.
However, that medicinal plant was actually a 9th-tier herb and a mature one at that!
Wei-sun’s heart was slightly moved. His Jeagal Clan was growing a few 9th-tier medicinal plants but only a few of them were mature. If Sol had more mature high-grade medicinal plants, then he could benefit a lot if he got them.
Wei-sun quickly made a decision inwardly.
’So, he wants to resolve things like this, fine I agree.’
Wei-sun was just about to pull his senses from the storage bag. He didn’t pay attention to the piece of paper as he thought it was just a note or something from Sol, but he already knew Sol’s intention, so he didn’t need to read it.
’He’s really looking down on my intelligence.’
Wei-sun thought to himself. However, just before his senses pulled out of the storage bag, he briefly scanned over the contents of the piece of paper.
All of a sudden, the crowd saw Wei-sun’s body tremble uncontrollably and the calm expression on his face changed to one of utter shock. His eyes even widen slightly.
It seemed as if he was struck by lightning.
Currently, Wei-sun was looking at the piece of paper and he couldn’t keep his composer. If his knowledge about his Clan’s records were correct, what he was looking at wasn’t just a piece of paper, but a portion of a lost Runic Technique from his Clan that held too much importance to them, especially with the upcoming Two Continents Tournament.
Wei-sun’s body trembled once again before his head snapped up and he stared at Sol with eyes that were turning slightly red.
"Brother Wei-sun, this should be enough Aether Stones for these items, correct?"
Wei-sun’s breathing became slightly ragged, and he wanted to pounce on Sol and demand he return the full Runic Technique, but he forcefully calmed himself down.
He wanted to know how Sol got the missing Runic Formation for his Clan’s Eight Trigrams Decryption Array, however, he suddenly recalled Sol had entered the Hundred Plants and Herbs dimension.
Not only did he find the Wudang Sect’s lost Immortal Treasure, but he also found theirs.
After calming down his emotions with much difficulty, Wei-sun put away the storage bag and nodded. He then said hoarsely.
"It’s enough. This misunderstanding likely stems from the store attendant getting the items’ prices wrong. I suppose I did poorly in accepting her to work here. Brother Sol, to apologize, why not come back to my Clan as a guest?"
Sol smiled.
"Sure, I’ve always wanted to visit one of the Great Clans."
Wei-sun then turned to the crowd and said.
"The offer manager Hanyu made still stands and you all can receive forty percent off any item you chose to purchase..."—Wei-sun paused and allowed his words to linger in the air before saying—"However, I hope you all will respect my Jeagal Clan and not spread this small misunderstanding between Brother Sol and my Young Master’s store."
Everyone in the crowd gulped. Even the eight youths from the top Clans of Martial Alliance City were silently looking at Wei-sun with fear.
They dared fight back against Hanyu trying to threaten them, but when this youth who looked to have a high status in the Jeagal Clan made a threat, it held far more weight and completely suppressed them.
However, the crowd was a bit taken aback that the heated argument ended just like that, though some people tactfully cupped their fists and thanked Wei-sun.
Wei-sun swept his gaze over the crowd once more as a final warning and didn’t waste any more time turning around and leaving the store. He had to inform his family that Sol had a missing portion of their Eight Trigrams Decryption Array.
During the Great Era of Turmoil, when numerous Clans and Sects fought for supremacy as well as resources such as the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dimension, his Clan lost seven Grand Elders inside.
Those seven Grand Elders held seven of the eight Runic Formations to activate their Clan’s Eight Trigrams Decryption Array.
His father, the current Patriarch of the Jeagal Clan, had the eighth Runic Formation after it was passed down through the Clan over the years.
Ever since those seven Runic Formations were lost their Clan had gone through extreme efforts to recreate it, however, they were never able to do it.
Perhaps those in the outside world might only see this Runic Technique as a Technique that could bypass myriad Formations. However, to their Jeagal Clan, it held an even more important role.
It was actually the key for them entering the depths of their Ancestral Grounds.
After the seven Runic Formations were lost all those years ago, they were never able to enter that sacred place, that place which held their Clan’s most precious Martial Arts Techniques.
If one said the Jeagal Clan was only proficient in Runes and Formation Arrays and were lacking in Martial Arts Techniques compared to the other Great Clans, then that person would be right.
However, if one traced back their history, one would realize that their Martial Arts Techniques weren’t any weaker than the other Clans, and their Runes and Formation Arrays were only a sub-branch that contributed to their overall power.
It was only after they lost the Eight Trigrams Array Formation that they were forced to focus on Arrays to not fall into ruins.
After so long, they had practically given up on opening their Ancestral Inheritance Grounds.
However, this piece of paper detailed a portion of the first Runic Formation of the Eight Trigrams Decryption Array. Considering this piece of paper looked like it came from a book, there might be more. No, it could even be all seven Runic Formations they had lost.
With this discovery how could Wei-sun keep his composure? His body was trembling nonstop as he left the store.
If he actually obtained the missing Runic Formations of the Eight Trigrams Decryption Array and opened their Inheritance Grounds, as the Young Master of the Jeagal Clan he would directly benefit from it having his strength increase to another level.
With the Two Continents Tournament being held in the Shadow Dimension, an increase in his strength would...
Wei-sun’s body trembled but his steps were hurried; in all his life he had never been this excited.
Sol stepped forward to leave the store as well.
"Brother Sol, what happened?"
Woo-seong asked in a whisper.
Not only the crowd, Woo-seong and Mar-Yue were also confused as to what had happened between Wei-sun and Sol just now.
Sol smiled and said calmly.
"The situation has changed, but our goal remains the same."
When Mar-Yue and Woo-seong heard that, they both recalled how Wei-sun reacted after looking at the contents of the storage bag, it seemed as if he was about to jump Sol.
Mar-Yue suddenly smiled. She didn’t ask anything further and only held Sol’s hand as they walked.
However, Woo-seong’s eyes brightened at the thought of extorting the Jeagal Clan, and he couldn’t help but release a vile chuckle filled with mirth.
