Chapter 425: Chapter 425- The Strange Knife Of The Assassin

The three female servants approached the pavilion shortly. The one at the front was carrying a pot with three cups on her tray. The others had strange-looking pastries on theirs.

After entering the pavilion, the servant at the front smiled and said.

"I welcome Young Master Sol, Miss Yue, and Young Master Woo-seong to our Jeagal Clan. My Young Master is in seclusion, but he will be here shortly. In the meantime, we were ordered to serve you our best tea and snack delicacies."

As the female servant said this, she held her tray and started serving the pot of tea and cups on the table. She and the others kept their smiles as if they were all too happy to serve such distinguished individuals.

Indeed, for servants like them who were no weaker than mortals, getting to meet and serve someone like Sol or Woo-seong was a story they could tell for a lifetime.

Their smiles and enthusiasm would make one feel extremely welcome after arriving to the Jeagal Clan.

The other two servants came around and stood next to Sol and Woo-seong, who had Mar-Yue between them, before placing the pastries on the table.

Even though the table was small, their actions seemed rehearsed as they each performed their own actions without interfering with the others, despite their hands moving across each other’s area.

Quickly the pavilion soon became filled with a sweat and fragrant aroma.

The servant next to Sol placed down a plate that had white finger-shaped pastries, and another plate that was stacked three layers with what looked like square dumplings. However, they weren’t dumplings, they were brown and produced crumbs as bread would do.

After putting down these two plates, the servant next to Sol got ready to pick up her tray. The servant serving the tea was finishing up as well.

Meanwhile, the servant next to Woo-seong was smiling as she held her tray to her hip like the others and placed down her only plate slightly in front of Woo-seong.

All this time, Sol and Mar-Yue were looking at the pastries with interest.

This was the first time after coming to the Eastern Continent that Sol had ever seen food like this. He had only ever eaten meat-based food, or dishes with some form of animal in it.

Similarly, Mar-Yue was the same. Her Barbarian Race’s diet mainly consisted of Spirit Beast meat. They had never particularly eaten food for the taste, that was only secondary with the first being for their cultivations.

However, that was not to say that her Barbarian Race did not work hard to make their food taste better. Just that they never made dishes like this that seemed like they didn’t contribute to one’s cultivation, but rather were merely eaten for the taste.

Meanwhile, Sol and Mar-Yue were eager to try these strange pastries, a scream was suddenly heard from the servant next to Woo-seong.

"Kyaaa!"

Sol and Mar-Yue were startled and quickly looked to see Woo-seong clutching the servant’s wrist.

At the same time...

Ding!

The pavilion went silent as everyone’s eyes were drawn to the object that had just clattered onto the table from the servant’s hand.

It was a knife.

Woo-seong looked away from the knife and glared at the servant, his hand tightening around her wrist even more.

"What were you planning by bringing out that knife from your sleeves?"

The female servant couldn’t help but cry out once again when Woo-seong tightened his grip around her hand.

The other female servants’ faces went pale when they saw this and their bodies seemed to go ridged from fright.

At the same time, the female servant in Woo-seong’s grasp managed to choke out a response.

"I-I was only going to cut the pastry f-for the Young Master."

After saying that, the female servant seemed to have used up all of her strength and her legs trembled. It looked like she was on the verge of collapsing due to the pain coming from her wrist.

Upon hearing the girl’s words, Woo-seong was just about to sneer, however, he paused before glancing at the knife on the table more closely. Immediately, his expression froze.

Indeed, the knife looked like an ordinary pastry knife. It didn’t even have a sharp point but a curved one.

It was really silly for someone to look at it and think an assassin would use it to try and kill someone.

Woo-seong realizing his terrible mistake quickly let go of the girl’s hand. freewēbnoveℓ.com

"I-I’m sorry, I just saw the knife suddenly appear in your hand and... and... I apologize."

Woo-seong realized his words sounded like an excuse so he simply stopped his explanation and sincerely apologized to the girl.

The female servant managed not to collapse, but she was gently cradling her left hand. There was an extremely eye-catching red handprint around her snow-white wrist. It looked like her wrist was broken, with some swelling already visible.

However, one had to give the female servant credit as despite her broken wrist and screams before, she didn’t shed a single tear.

She instead bowed her head toward Woo-seong and said.

"Y-Young Master, Woo-seong, I should be the one to apologize for not explaining my actions in advance. I hope the Young Master will forgive me."

Woo-seong, seeing this, felt uncomfortable and opened his mouth to try and say something, but he didn’t know what to say.

However, when he saw that the female servant intended to go right back to cutting the pastry on the table, Woo-seong stopped her.

"No, you don’t have to do that."

The female servant smiled and shook her head, this was her duty.

Sol suddenly spoke up at his moment.

"Show me your wrist."

When Woo-seong heard that, he sighed in relief.

He had thought about using his second Innate Dharma to try and heal the girl as an apology, but he was hesitant. But thankfully, Sol was here. The Healing Pills he had on him were too strong and could be more detrimental than helpful to someone of her level.

The female servant hesitated for a brief moment, but eventually extended her hand towards Sol.

Sol took a look at the mark around the girl’s limped hand and couldn’t help but glance at Woo-seong.

If he had held her any tighter this girl’s hand would have been snapped off. Even the bones in her wrist were in fragments.

Mar-Yue also shot a glare at Woo-seong after she saw how serious the injury actually was.

"I apologize on my friend’s behalf."

Sol said before he raised his palm, which was now glowing a faint green color, and pat the air.

With that pat, a foggy green mist filled with dense Wood Aether Energy in the shape of a palm, floated toward the girl’s hand and wrapped around her wrist.

After seeping into her hand, in no time the girl’s injury was healed. Even the red mark left behind by Woo-seong’s fingers was gone.

The female servant looked at her hand in shock. The other servants who were silently standing by the side also had similar looks on their faces.

Their statuses were low, so this was the first time they witnessed such mystical powers from a cultivator.
