The Growth of a Titan-Chapter 438- Confirmation
Chapter 438: Chapter 438- Confirmation
"Normally, this place would be crowded with people testing their strength and other disciples watching while discussing it. But now it’s so deserted."
Woo-seong suddenly said as Sol was observing the names on the stone stele.
"Seong, this stone stele records the rankings of the disciples who tested their strengths?"
Sol said with a bit of excitement in his voice.
Woo-seong smiled understanding Sol’s excitement.
"Yeah, this has records of the names of people that went as far back as when the Academy was first established."
Sol’s eyes lit up and he couldn’t help but have his gaze roam over the names.
"The numbers beside them correspond with their measured strength?"
The stone stele not only recorded one’s rank, but their strength compared to the numerous geniuses of both the past and present.
Woo-seong nodded.
"In Jianghu, it’s known that a cultivator in the Sky Expanse Realm has an arm or leg strength of eighty thousand kilograms of force. This is all due to this stone stele. Over time as various cultivators from all backgrounds came to test their strength, someone realized that there was an average of strength between each cultivation realm. However, it’s not entirely accurate. Someone in the Sky Expanse Realm having only eighty thousand kilograms worth of force in their arm or leg is only an estimation, it’s really hard to get an exact number. Especially for those freaks that were born with divine strengths and some other anomalies in the cultivation world, they simply can’t be measured with common means."
Sol continued to observe the stone stele as Woo-seong explained.
"However, Brother Sol, only disciples who surpass the one hundred thousand kilograms worth of force are true geniuses of the Fleshly Body path. As you can see only those in the top one thousand are recorded on this stone stele, and each one of them are terrifying geniuses in the path of Fleshly Body cultivation that have one hundred thousand kilograms worth of force in one of their limbs."
Sol looked away from the stone stele and asked Woo-seong with a smile.
"Where is your name?"
Woo-seong puffed out his chest and said.
"This is the rankings for the Sky Expanse Realm. Each face of the stone stele records the top one thousand names for each minor realm in the Spiritual Realm."
With Sol following him, Woo-seong then walked around the stone stele to the side that list the names of those in the Earth Expanse Realm.
"There’s my name."
After reaching this side, Woo-seong pointed at the bottom of the stone stele.
Sol bent down and looked closely. He saw Woo-seong’s name in 912th place with his strength being one hundred and five thousand kilograms worth of force.
"Brother Sol, don’t look down on my ranking because I’m at the bottom. You have to remember that this stone stele records every disciple in the Earth Expanse Realm who has ever tested their strength since the founding of the Martial Alliance Academy. If you sent out your Soul Energy, you’ll be able to see the names of those who weren’t able to be displayed here."
Upon hearing that, Sol sent out his Soul Energy toward the stone stele. Immediately after his Soul Energy came into contact with it, Sol seemed to be transported to a separate space.
The stone stele was still in front of him, but now the number of names had surpassed one thousand.
With a thought from Sol, the surface of this stone stele started flowing upwards at extreme speeds. It was so fast the names were only blurs.
Sol wanted to see the bottom of the list, however, even after a few breaths’ worth of time the names on the stone stele were still flashing past, showing no signs of coming to an end.
’Huh?’
Sol was slightly taken aback when he saw this.
He decided to just stop and see what number he was at.
The names of the stone stele stilled, and Sol looked at the number. The moment he saw what number he had reached he was stunned.
’I’m at the thirteen millionth place?’ fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
Sol had truly underestimated how many people were on this list. Now Woo-seong’s 912th position seemed extremely remarkable.
Sol had long realized that Woo-seong’s talent in the path of Fleshly Body cultivation was in the realm of being a genius of a generation. Even the talents of those from the Barbarian Race were slightly inferior to him.
But what was even more outstanding with this was that Woo-seong was also considered a Sword Genius of a generation.
Even though the Perfect Prince Byeong-ho and the Sword Fanatic Namgung Yuji surpassed him in terms of talent and accomplishments in the sword, his sword skills and sword comprehension were not to be underestimated.
It really isn’t a coincidence that he’s given the title Rising Star and Monster-level genius. In any other generation, he might have dominated the other geniuses.
However, Sol noticed one fact about these rankings.
The person in the eighteen millionth place had seventy-eight thousand kilograms worth of force, while the person above them had the same number. As for the one above that, they only had twenty kilogram more.
It could be seen that this list was stacked to the brim with those of the same level and those that were close to each other in numbers.
This couldn’t be helped after so many disciples tested their strengths.
Sol withdrew his Soul Energy.
"Brother Sol, it might look like there isn’t much of a difference between the rankings, but in reality, those small differences are like heaven and earth. Even though the strengths displayed here are just estimations, it’s become a norm that there is a limit to one’s physical body which is the one hundred-thousand-kilogram mark. Even just surpassing it by a few kilograms is something to be celebrated."
Sol nodded in understanding. Now he was intensely curious as to how much force his physical body contained.
Suddenly, Woo-seong said.
"Brother Sol, to test your strength all you have to do is leave a Soul Imprint on the stone stele before hitting it under its restrictions. The restrictions will activate when you stimulate your Soul Imprint. You can either use your leg or arm to test your strength, however, most disciples use their arms as there isn’t much of a difference between it or their legs. I’ll go first to show you how to test your strength."
Sol nodded and took a few steps back.
Woo-seong took some time to prepare himself before sending out his Soul Energy towards his name where his Soul Imprint was located.
His name on the stone stele that was once a dull gray color started to glow with a golden radiance. At the same time, the entire stone stele started shaking while the surface started to ripple. The names on the stele began to shift and arranged themselves into golden formations that pulsate with a type of archaic aura.
Meanwhile, Woo-seong was getting into a stance to hit the stone stele to retest his strength, Sol was at the back looking at the golden formations on the surface of the stone stele with wide eyes and mouth agape.
Those golden formations just confirmed his deduction that his Master and the Forgotten Sect were descendants of the Heavenly Sect. That was because these formations were made up of runes that were similar to the runes his Master had taught him back in the Ibbian Mountain Range.
No, they weren’t just similar, they were one and the same!
