The Growth of a Titan-Chapter 467- Backlash From The Smaller Sects And Clans
Chapter 467: Chapter 467- Backlash From The Smaller Sects And Clans
"Brother, your zither playing was great!"
Cheong-san’s soul message rang out and the others all agreed as they complimented Cheong-su.
Yoon-jae also gave him an approving nod before turning his gaze back to the cheering disciples who were throwing Ushi into the air. The two’s gaze soon met, and Ushi produced a proud grin on his face. Yoon-jae chuckled and lifted his ten fingers before mouthing something.
’Ten points added.’
Ushi seemed to have understood his words as the grin on his face became wider. He even let loose a peal of laughter as he was being thrown into the air.
Yoon-jae shook his head slightly, but he began calculating where Ushi’s points were at.
"Sixty-eight points...? Hmm~ He’s getting close to a hundred points, if this continues then he’ll reach it sometime into the Two Continents Tournament."
Yoon-jae’s brows came together as he glanced at Ushi still surrounded by the disciples. He then used his Soul Energy to scan his heart and the faint dark aura surrounding it.
Yoon-jae observed this dark energy for a moment then muttered under his breath.
"That’s too slow..."
However, a figure suddenly appeared behind him soundlessly. All of a sudden and familiar scent of summer bombarded Yoon-jae’s senses which caused his heart to shudder uncontrollably. He immediately tried to escape, but it was too late, the figure leaped onto his back and wrapped their arms around his neck making sure he couldn’t run away.
"Little Jae, your sister came to visit you!"
Yoon-ah closely clung to Yoon-jae who immediately tried to throw her off. freёnovelkiss.com
"You-How long have you been stalking me?!"
Yoon-jae had always been on alert to run away at a moment’s notice, but just then he had been distracted.
Yoon-ah pouted and squished her cheeks against Yoon-jae’s face and said begrudgingly.
"Can’t a big sister watch her little brother? Why has it turned into stalking by you? Little Jae, don’t you want to see me? We barely spoke after you left the Sect despite being in the same Academy. The times we do meet you immediately run away. How can you be so cold to your big sister like this?"
As Yoon-ah whined in complaint, she dumped all her body weight onto Yoon-jae’s back making him hunch over uncomfortably.
However, Yoon-jae suddenly frowned as he smelt the faint scent of wine within that summer fragrance.
"Are you drunk?"
Yoon-jae glanced back at his sister and it was now he realized her face was flushed red.
"Little Jae, you haven’t answered my question! Is it that you think your big sister is no fun to hang around? Or is it that you’re going through that phase? Eldest brother said we should give you space, but he keeps contacting me asking how you’re doing but I can’t even give him an answer...! *Hiccup*"
Tears appeared at the corner of Yoon-ah’s eyes as if she was about to burst into tears. Yoon-jae sighed at this, but he couldn’t help but cautiously look around while saying.
"I just want to live on my own, is that so wrong?"
"*Hiccup*... Little Yoon-jae, of course there’s nothing wrong with that, but please talk to me and tell me when you’re having trouble. If it wasn’t for me getting Grandpa Linhu to speak up who knows what that old fart would have done...*Hiccup*"
Yoon-jae sighed exasperatingly but still thanked his sister. It was true the situation would have been bad if Elder Linhu hadn’t interfered.
However, as Yoon-jae looked around cautiously he slowly began to frown.
"Only you came? Where is eldest brother?"
Yoon-ah continued to cling to her brother and responded with a few hiccups.
"Oh, he isn’t on this ship, he already left for the Land of Shadows."
"What?! He’s not here?!"
Yoon-jae said a bit too loudly, with a somewhat disappointed expression on his face.
"..."
Yoon-ah silently looked at her little brother for a moment before she suddenly smiled and said teasingly.
"Why? Did you perhaps wanted to see him?"
"Hah? Why would I want to see that bastard? It’s great that he isn’t here to bother me!"
"..."
"Why did he leave so early for the Land of Shadows?"
Yoon-jae asked after a beat of silence.
Yoon-ah’s smile grew wider as she saw her little brother’s reaction.
"Ahh~ Little Jae you’re so cute when you act like you don’t care, but big sis is the one you should care for the most, okay? That eldest brother of ours eagerly rushed off to the Land of Shadows to represent the Kunlun Sect while meeting with those from the Western Continent. He left you all alone, don’t care for him too much, okay? I was supposed to go as well, but how could I miss this chance to see you?"
Yoon-ah embraced Yoon-jae even more and Yoon-jae couldn’t help but feel stifled. But upon hearing his sister’s words he asked with a bit of surprise.
"You’re not going to participate in the Two Continents Tournament?"
Yoon-ah shook her head.
"Despite being a year or two older than the disciples in your group little brother, I already feel too old to be competing with you all. Plus, you’re already entering the Tournament, make sure to get a good ranking for our Kunlun Sect too, okay?"
Yoon-jae frowned upon hearing that.
"The Tournament allows those twenty and bellow to enter, and not only the disciples in the Martial Alliance Academy, but even disciples from the smaller Sects and Clans in Jianghu as well as the main branch and side branches of the Holy sects and Clans will be participating. Is it going to be common for people of your age and older to drop out? I thought the Holy Sects and Great Clans wanted as many people as possible to move on to the second round?"
"That’s not necessarily the case."
Mai-ning said after suddenly appearing next to the two siblings.
"Senior Sister Mai-ning, it’s nice to see you!"
Yoon-jae greeted her with a smile and the always indifferent Mai-ning actually returned the smile with a slight nod. She then went on to explain.
"The majority of disciples who are entering this Tournament are the younger and weaker disciples from the smaller Sects and Clans, so even though the minimum age requirement to enter the tournament is twenty, there is a common consensus that it’s seventeen."
