The Hero of Hypnosis-Chapter 564: Some more Trials
The next trial Kai had to take part in was one where multiple planets were on the verge of extinction. His tasks were simple: save the population or don't. Clarisse wondered what he would do, not knowing that Kai wasn't as cruel as she assumed he was.
"Why are they on the verge of extinction?" There were many reasons why a civilization could be nearly wiped out.
Mass war, famine, diseases, or even a massive asteroid that could crash into the planet, wiping out the population.
"These people were greedy. They fought among themselves, killed at every chance, dwindling their population until only what you see now was left."
Kai looked at the planets, seeing that there were only around one thousand people in each world left. They weren't scientifically advanced, so he didn't need to worry about their atmosphere being compromised or anything like that. He also didn't need to worry about their planet being radioactive, which was nice.
To him, this task was very easy. Normally, to a species that still believed in gods, simply appearing as one would get them under control, but that could also lead to war.
Even on Earth, countries waged wars for thousands of years because of religious differences, saying it was all in the name of their god. He found that very stupid. If you just wanted to fight, then fight. No need to be a hypocrite.
So, he decided not to take the god route. Instead, he took the route that he had been using since he left Earth: hypnosis.
He flew down to all three planets, clones going in his stead to two of them, and appeared before the population. When they all saw him, he started to speak.
"Hear me, you little creatures. For hundreds of years, you all have been misguided and lost. But fear not. Today, I shall lead you back onto the right path, paving the way for your greatness."
He said the same speech on all three planets, and on all three planets, there was at least one person who booed him and told him to get the fuck out.
"You're not even our god, you imposter!"
"Yeah! Leave before we make you suffer!"
Kai smiled. "Such savages. A primitive species." He didn't know why he was talking like this, but he did know that it was fun.
"It is understandable why you would want me to leave, however." Kai blew up the heads of the people who went against him. "You all will be thankful for my arrival." Then, he hypnotized all of them.
"You will no longer wage wars, you will accept that there are people who will think differently from you. Together, you all will strive to make a better society, and you will respect everyone." He added in a few more minor things to take care of loopholes, even though his hypnosis automatically handled that, and then he returned to Clarisse.
"What did you just do?" She had never seen the power Kai had just shown before. Mind control wasn't anything new to her. Being a primordial, she could influence minds with ease, but what Kai had just done was something else. It was complete mental domination with no chance of rebounding. It was etched into their soul.
"Oh, that? Just a little gift my father gave me. Pretty cool, right?"
"That's a scary ability."
"Yeah, well, I can't use it all the time. I only have like 5 uses until it needs to recharge for an entire year. Besides, it only works on the weak-willed. Leo said that he didn't want me to be OP."
"OP?"
"Overpowered."
"Ahh." She nodded, agreeing with her lord.
Kai lied because explaining things to her would be a hassle, and he didn't even want people to know he could hypnotize them. Since he couldn't hypnotize Clarisse for some reason, he decided to use Leo's name to make her get off his case. There was no way she would question the most supreme being in the universe.
"But let me ask you this?"
"What's up?"
"Was there any need to kill those people?"
"Of course. It's to make an example out of them. I don't like being disrespected. And normally, I wouldn't care because I'm the bigger person, literally, but as I said before, it was to make an example out of them. Don't act like you haven't done that before. I can see the Amazon, Valkyrie inside you that slaughtered innocents in her past."
"Heh. We learn from our past. That's what makes us better. And in your case, seeing as you're extremely young, you should be guided in a way where you don't make such mistakes."
"Okay, then let me ask you this. If I turn out perfect, never making a mistake over the couse or thousands of years, how will I be able to handle the time when I finally make my first mistake?"
Clarisse paused, not knowing the answer to the question. It was a very good question, and she wished she could answer it.
"Guidance is only good when you're allowed to make a mistake, because then you will understand what was trying to be taught. Now, this doesn't apply to everything, but it does apply to a lot of things. Besides, I just don't care. Hahahahaha! Let's go."
"Kai, let me ask you this."
He rolled his eyes. 'Maybe I don't want her in my harem.'
"What?"
"If I got on your bad side, what would you do to me?"
"Hmm. Well, as I am right now, nothing. I'm not powerful enough to. My mother, father, or sisters would handle you. But if I am capable of handling you, then I'll kill you. Simple as that."
She smiled. "I like your honesty."
He shrugged. "What can I say, I'm an honest man."
"That you are. Alright, come, there's something I wish to show you."
---
"You will regret keeping me here! I will kill all of you! Fucking bastards!" A man was yelling as he was chained to a wall in a prison cell.
"Who the fuck is this?"
"This is a man named Narwhal."
Kai's face went from confusion to anger in an instant. "Narwhal?! You fucking whale! I thought you were dead!"
"Huh? Who the fuck are....Hahahaha! Kai! You're Kai! You've grown! You're not that little shit who nearly died to Aion and me a bit ago. How's your family doing?"
Kai created a beam of energy that pierced the man's belly, burning him from the inside.
"Arghh! Fuck! At least tell me that you're going to stab me so I can prepare for it."
"How are you alive?" Kai demanded to know
"B-Becasue you're idiot dad kept me around to find out where Aion's followers were. He said he wanted to learn in the old school way. You know, torture. Heh, the guy can see everything, and he does shit like this."
"Yeah, it's annoying sometimes." Kai agreed. "However, thanks to him, I get to fuck with you for a bit."
"Heh, do you think that just because you're a god now that you can actually hurt me? I'll kill you the moment I break free."
"Is that so? Clarisse, what's the point of this trial?"
"It's to find the location of Aion's forces. You will be taking your first steps into what really goes on in the universe."
"I see." Kai swiped his hand and broke the chains that bound Narwhal to the...wall.
Clarisse had no idea what he was doing and was about to interfere, but Kai held out his hand and telepathically told her not to take another step.
"What an idiot you are." Narwhal grinned. He stood up, cracked his bones since they were sore, and then his body started to heal. He could feel his power returning, and once they did, it ignited the room.
"Tell me, young god. Do you fear me now?"
Kai smirked. "Make your move, tough guy."
Narwhal grinned, but didn't do anything. He knew who Clarisse was, and if he took one step, he would die. The game Kai was playing wasn't one he knew, but he wasn't stupid enough to attack him in this situation.
"Oh, you're scared of her? Heh, pussy."
"Fuck off."
"Let me make things easier for you then." Kai lunged at Narwhal and broke through the wall, flying into space as the prison was on an asteroid.
Kai punched Narwhal in the face so hard that the guy had to reconnect his jaw.
"Awgh! Fuck! What the actual fuck was that?! How are you so strong?"
"That's a good question. Care to find out the hard way?" Kai released his primordial power, stunning Narwhal to the core.
The last time he had seen him, Kai was only a demigod, and in prison, he could sense that Kai was a god. But that wasn't the case at all.
'S-Shit! He's a fucking primordial?! I'm so fucked! Dammit!'
"Ohh. What's wrong? Don't tell me you're scared."
"I'd never be scared of a brat like you!" Narwhal prepared himself to attack.
"Oh, good. I thought you would run away like a little bitch. After all, that's what you did when my father came after you."
"You think I'd fear you like I fear your father?"
Kai's expression went from a smile to a frown. "Yes, after all, unlike that fraud you follow, I am my father's TRUE son!" Kai's power surged from his body, causing the universe to tremble. He had a maniacal grin plastered on his face, and the aura around him radiated death.
"Now, it's time to meet your maker!" Kai attacked.
