The Hero's Streaming Life with the Saintess-Chapter 13: Whether it’s a predator or a monster, I’m its weakness.
It wasn’t just my stream that blew up.
The internet, news outlets, TV, social media—even radio stations—were all talking about it.

[Title: Can’t all the S-Rank Hunters in Korea just team up and fight it?]
[Body: I mean, we somehow handled the Grand Canyon situation, didn’t we?]
└ Doubt it. The Grand Canyon didn’t have anything around it, so it was fine if it got wrecked.
└ True. If that thing makes landfall in Korea, we’re seriously screwed. Even if it doesn’t, how the hell are we gonna fight it out at sea?
└ Even if we win, it’s a problem. Korea might end up shattered into pieces. LMAO.
Online, the debate raged: “Can the S-ranks even stop this thing?”
[President: “Everyone, please remain calm and follow military and police instructions...”]
[Expert: “There’s no way to subdue it with minimal damage. Even if we succeed, Korea will regress by at least 30 years.”]
“Yeah... this situation is seriously fucked.”
[We’d need to fight in a wide, empty area to avoid any damage, but does Korea even have a place like that? It’s the ocean, for god’s sake.]
[Even with a clean fight, the Grand Canyon battle killed 2 S-ranks and multiple A-ranks.]
[And the survivors? A few S-ranks barely made it out alive, badly injured.]
[ThrowThatResignation has donated 10,000 Watts!]
— But the real problem is who owns the damn thing. If we poke it the wrong way and it turns on us, we’re absolutely screwed.
We couldn’t attack recklessly, but leaving it alone was even worse. A classic no-win situation.
And then, China went and dropped the mother of all disasters.
[Breaking News! China’s reckless raid attempt! Monster now heading toward the Korean Peninsula!]
[Raid failed... Strike force annihilated, S-rank Hunter dead, 5 navy ships sunk...]
Disaster alert texts were blowing up my phone. The chat was on fire.
[Why the fuck did they touch it?]
[Fucking idiots should’ve just left it alone.]
[Ugh... they brought this on themselves.]
‘So... does that mean the monster is technically ours now?’
“Everyone shut up for a second.”
I froze the chat and muted my mic.
Then I tapped the contact labeled “Association Chairman.”
“I’ll take care of the monster.”
“...”
Silence on the other end.
He was probably trying to process it.
“...Are you really... capable of that?”
“In exchange, let’s make one thing crystal clear.”
“I’m listening.”
“I want full ownership rights of the monster after I subdue it. Locked in. No arguments.”
“...Understood.”
“Then I’ll see you soon.”
By law, the one who defeats the monster has the rights to it.
That’s common sense.
But this country has a habit of tossing common sense out the window.
I unfroze the chat and unmuted my mic.
“I’m going to take that thing down. If anyone here speaks Chinese, clip this and spread it everywhere.”
The chat exploded.
A C-rank Hunter publicly declaring he’d solo the monster?
“Listen carefully. I’ll only say this once. If I take that thing down, it’s mine. If anyone starts running their mouth afterward, I’ll cave their skull in. Got it?”
[Hero, are you being serious right now?]
[Dude, I know stream content is important, but...]
[Now’s not the time for jokes, man;;]
I froze the chat again.
“If I die or fail during the raid, China—you can have my artifact.”
There was no way China would pass up this offer.
If I failed, they’d get my artifact. If I succeeded, they’d pull every diplomatic trick in the book to claim the monster anyway.
‘Come on... pull your usual bullshit. You guys are good at that.’
But I needed to provoke them just a little more.
“And if you start whining later, I’ll tear down the Forbidden City and the Great Wall while I’m at it. Just so we’re clear.”
That wasn’t an empty threat.
If they tried anything later, I really would wreck it all.
And hey, it’d make for great stream content.
“I’m heading out now. Clip this everywhere.”
I ended the stream and got ready to leave immediately.
“Lyla, wanna do the thing? It’s been a while.”
“Oh my, it has been a while~”
Lyla clasped her hands and began chanting.
A glowing ring formed above our heads, lifting our bodies into the air.
Then she gave a little hop and clung to me.
“Huh? You’re not flying on your own?”
“I can’t move as fast as you can, Hero.”
— FWOOSH!!!
We broke the sound barrier and arrived in under a minute.
Looking down, I saw a military camp already set up, soldiers on high alert.
“Let’s see... a good landing spot...”
Still clinging to me, Lyla pointed to a spot.
“Hero, your mom and dad are over there.”
— KABOOM!!
I landed right in front of them.
The impact formed a massive crater in the sand, flinging debris everywhere.
Everyone nearby came rushing over in a panic.
“S-Son? We heard from the Chairman, but how’d you get here so fast?!”
“I flew.”
“...You can do that now?”
My mom shook her head, waving it off.
“Anyway, that’s not what’s important. Come with us.”
Following my parents, I entered a large tent. Inside were the Association Chairman, high-ranking military officers, and other Hunters.
Some of them recognized me. Others didn’t.
“Who’s this?”
“He’s my son.”
“...Ah. So, he’s the one?”
“Yes, that’s right.”
The Chairman must’ve already filled them in, because nobody raised any objections.
Well, almost nobody.
There was one guy scowling with crossed arms, glaring at me.
“Just you? You think you can subdue that monster?”
“What the hell’s he saying?”
“He asked if someone like you can really take down the monster.”
Our sweet Lyla. She’d mastered English and was apparently studying other languages too.
Now she was casually fluent in Chinese.
“Lyla, repeat exactly what I said on stream. Word for word.”
Lyla turned to him and relayed my message with perfect accuracy.
Even the part about smashing skulls.
The guy’s face turned red with rage. He started yelling something.
“What’s he saying now?”
“Nothing useful. Just ignore him.”
He pulled some papers out of his thick briefcase, signed them, and tossed them toward me.
Lyla carefully read through everything.
“There are no hidden clauses or shady word games. It’s clean.”
“Good.”

[ThatFreakingStrongHero: Hunter Debut Stream!]
“Nice to see everyone.”
[Nice to see you, my ass. You lunatic.]
[Wait, is that the ocean? Holy shit, he actually went?!]
[Okay, I know stream content is important, but are you out of your goddamn mind??]
Viewer count was through the roof.
It was way higher than after I revealed the artifact.
There were messages in English, Japanese, Chinese—all sorts of languages.
‘...Is that Arabic? Looks like worms crawling across the screen.’
[Hey Korean, are you crazy?]
[China couldn’t subdue it, but you think you can, stick boy?]
[Is that what samurai spirit looks like? lolol]
The auto-translate feature on Pajijik helped me make sense of the chat.
It wasn’t perfect—sounded like robot-speak—but it worked.
“All right, here we go.”
I jumped again, pushing off the ground with force.
The camera angle flipped from the beach to the sky in an instant.
[Did he just jump??]
[Jump: to leap from a standing position.]
[I’m gonna puke, fuck.]
“Oh, there it is.”
I focused the camera and zoomed in.
[What the hell? Is that an angel?]
[Looks kinda off for an angel...]
[Why does it have so many wings?]
Humanoid figure.
Eight wings on its back.
Its whole body glowed with a cursed mix of black and red.
“Make sure you get a good shot of this.”
I handed the camera to Lyla and dropped down.
While freefalling, I stretched my arms and legs, getting a light warm-up in.
“I’ll be back.”
“Take care~”
Still holding the camera, Lyla gave a cheerful wave and smiled.
To an outsider, it would’ve looked like I was just running out to grab a snack.
“Monster or beast, same rule—a solid whack fixes everything.”
***
[Saintess, is the Hero actually gonna die?!]
[Wait, does that mean it’ll just be your stream from now on?]
[Honestly, might be better that way...]
[Bro wtf LOL]
The viewers were watching Song Hun fly straight toward the monster.
Lyla was zooming in and out, trying not to miss a single moment.
[SaintessFootTowel has donated 50,000 Watts!]
— But isn’t the Saintess supposed to be backing up the Hero?
Lyla switched to selfie mode for a moment.
“Hmm... but it’s not really threatening enough to need my help.”
[“Not threatening”? (Multiple S- and A-ranks dead)]
[Saintess is starting to sound like the Hero...]
[PLEASE NO, ANYTHING BUT THAT!!!]
She fiddled with the camera again, capturing Song Hun in the distance as he approached the monster.
1 second—he tapped his earring, and it transformed into the club.
2 seconds—he gripped it with both hands, ready to swing.
3 seconds—he °• N 𝑜 v 𝑒 l i g h t •° swung upward, smashing the monster square in the head.
The ocean behind the monster split in two.
The shockwave tore the clouds apart, letting sunlight flood in.
“Our Hero’s pretty amazing, right?”
The stream may have been short,
but his Hunter debut left a long, deep impact.
