”How is she?” Fu Hua asked in a low gentle voice as he walked in.

Jia Li was sitting on the bed and holding Jasmine’s hand. Her face and countenance looked better now, but there was still worry written all over her face, and that is because Jasmine has not regained consciousness yet.

”She is better now, earlier, she was still wincing in pain, even in her sleep, but over the last few minutes, he has been calm,” Fu Hee replied with a sigh of relief.

”It means that the treatment is working,” YingPei added.

Fu Hua came behind Jia Li to squeeze her shoulders gently, and she for a few seconds shifted her gaze to him and managed a smile. She was grateful for the encouragement and comfort.

Glancing at his little daughter who was sleeping peacefully on the bed, Fu Hua released Jia Li and moved closer to the little girl.

He patted her head gently with a warm smile on his face.

”Princess, your Daddy, and Mummy are here. Grandma and uncle Pei are here too. We are waiting for you to wake up after having a good rest. The whole family is waiting for you to get better soon.”

After saying those heartening words, Fu Hua glanced at Jia Li and said to her, “Sweetheart, you need a break, come and sit with me.”

Jia Li shook her head with a warm smile and said while still holding Jasmine’s hand, “No, I’m fine here,” She said shifting her gaze back to Jasmine. “I don’t want her to wake up and not see me. She must have been scared by this incident.”

There was no need to talk too much just to convince her to take a short break and relax, for he went to her side and pulled her up before dragging her to the couch and making her sit next to him, before taking her into his arms.

”You can sit comfortably in my arms and watch her from here. Be good, you need to take a rest, for you and the babies,” Fu Hua reminded in a low tone.

Jia Li did not try to get out of his arms again, but stayed there and heaved a deep sigh of relief, with her gaze on the hospital bed.

”Is anyone bringing food for her?” Fu Hee asked as she turned her gaze to Fu Hua.

She was in the kitchen where Lunch was being prepared when this ruckus happened, so she had to abandon her job.

”Yes, it will be here soon, Aunt ChuHua is sending food for all of us,” Fu Hua replied.

Fu Hee was now rest assured and relaxed comfortably on her seat.

Jia Li wanted to say she didn’t have any appetite, but she needed the strength to watch over Jasmine even though she still felt some guilt about the whole incident, coupled with her babies, so she ended up not saying it.

That would be childish and irresponsible of her, especially when the doctor has reassured and guaranteed that Jasmine would be fine, and will soon go back to her normal healthy state.

Turning to the woman in his arms who was shocked by this revelation but wasn’t saying anything, Fu Hua whispered to her, “Sweetheart, let’s raise our children properly with love and discipline.”

Jia Li nodded and released a deep breath while thinking, ‘Who would have known that Lanying had a special identity and had to endanger her little daughter just to announce it?’

Jia Li did not pity both Lanying and Fu Juan because they touched someone innocent and dragged others into their mess.
