In an instant, her hand shot out and gripped the collar of my shirt, pulling me closer. Her eyes bore into mine, brimming with panic and desperation. "Then why do you look so relaxed???" she demanded, her voice laced with an almost whiny edge.

I held her gaze, my expression unwavering. "I've done what I can," I stated matter-of-factly. "What can I do?"

With a sigh, I gently extricated her hand from my clothes, allowing a small gap to form between us. "Besides," I muttered under my breath. "You might want to consider treating me better if you're going to rely on my help." It was a half-hearted grumble.

Her lips pressed together in a display of remorse, and I could see the frustration etched across her face. "Yeah, you're right. I'm sorry," she conceded. "It's just... I feel so helpless here, trapped without any way to make a difference."

"I know it's not easy," I reassured her. "But don't worry, I've already had discussions with Mia. We're exploring ways to remove you from there without causing any negative impact on their economy." A hint of relief flickered in her eyes at my words. "Once I obtain the approval, I'll ensure your freedom," I added.

Puriel's brow furrowed, her voice tinged with curiosity. "You're referring to the people who constantly drain my angelic power, right?" she asked, seeking confirmation.
