An intertwining emotion could be seen dancing inside the depths of Rex's soul.

His eyes spoke volume, a glimpse of the excitement within.

Even though the fact that he and Kyran failed to capture Kassandra who infiltrated their reign of land without much difficulty—possibly even mapping their location—her attempt managed to rile something inside of Rex.

Her attempt easily gained Rex's undivided attention.

Most of the time, those who managed to get close to him tried to kill him or plot something.

So it was a breath of fresh air for someone to try and get his attention instead.

It would be a lie if Rex said that he didn't like this.

On the other hand, Kyran was utterly confused about Rex's reaction to this situation.

All he felt right now was only anger and frustration, the feeling surface from failing to capture Kassandra, was gnawing at his insides, but that didn't seem to be the case with Rex. Also, he heard what Rex uttered—and he refused to believe it.

"Seriously? You want to bring her into the pack?" Kyran asked, his emotions speaking.

Upon hearing this Rex shakes out of his trance and replies, "She's really quick and extremely durable. She could endure my attacks even though she's merely in the mid-ninth-rank realm. I could use someone like her in the pack, it would be foolish to not want her"

"But she disrespected you! I can't stand that!" Kyran refuted, his tone climbing higher.

He saw the cockiness and pride that Kassandra had shown earlier.

It would be fine if she did it to him, but doing it to Rex is completely unacceptable.

As one of the strongest factions in the world, this could not be pardoned.

Contrary to what Kyran was feeling, the corner of Rex's mouth curled higher, "That is exactly why I want her. Before I turned you back then—you showed me that you are quite capable of holding on your own. Just like right now, she showed me that she's able to survive, in the fire of our pack, and that made her more enticing"

"If she's that fast, I wonder how fast she would be after I turned her," Rex added excitedly.

He wanted to see what kind of unique Werewolf she would evolve into.

Kyran was silenced when he heard this.

Despite wanting to, he couldn't refute the fact that Kassandra's antics were similar to his.

Back then—he killed goblins as a normal boy to show Rex his determination, and this is not much different than him with Kassandra showing, that she was capable, even before being turned into a member of the Silverstar Pack.

"I won't argue if you want to add her to the pack," Kyran sighed in defeat.

Regardless of how he feels, it's not his choice to add Kassandra to the pack or not.

"However, the situation is really really bad, Rex. We don't know who she is, and she might be a scout from the Scarlet Banes Kingdom to map our location—after the Second Breath. Also, she's definitely old, but she might be a regular foot soldier for all we know!" He added.

Aside from how interesting Kassandra was, her unknown identity is still a problem.

Both Rex and Kyran knew how strong the Supernatural Elders were.

But the fact still stands that the Elders had their powers suppressed due to the limitation of the world, pressing down their realms, to the ninth-rank realm. Now that the Second Breath happened, they might as well return to their original realm.

Compared to them—whose original realm was in the ninth, they would soar higher.

If the Elders—instantly reached their original realm, or even the tenth, then they would be in immense trouble. Kassandra might abnormally be strong, but not knowing her identity made the power level of the rest of the older generations blurry.

She might be a regular Werewolf or even a special Werewolf.

Had it been the latter, then Rex and Kyran wouldn't need to be worried at all.

On the other hand, if Kassandra turned out to be a regular Werewolf then they couldn't even begin to imagine how strong the stronger Werewolves were, naturally because of that Kyran couldn't fathom why Rex seemed to be relaxed.

As Kyran said that, Rex paused, he was facing away and didn't answer.

An uncomfortable amount of time silence enveloped them troubled Kyran, but he still waited.

"Kyran..."

Just then, Rex eventually glanced at him with an eerie, sharp gaze.

He locked eyes with Kyran, his voice dragging menacingly, "Don't tell me that you're afraid"

"Eh...?" Kyran was surprised when he saw the expression Rex was wearing.

Under the intense gaze, he felt his throat becoming dry.

Out of sheer frustration from the earlier chase—he forgot to keep his emotions in check, and poured it all out to Rex—inciting a fearsome response from Rex. "I still recall the first lesson I told you, that not everyone can change—and there are people that are better off being killed rather than being helped. Now, this is my second lesson for you,"

"Don't underestimate yourself," Rex added, his words striking Kyran's heart.

After saying that, he gazed back into the thick mist before them.

He then continued in a nonchalant manner, "I know the situation is bad, that Werewolf could as well be as you said, mapping our location and reporting it back to her superiors. And yes, that would be very bad for us as one of our important defenses is our hidden location"

"But don't underestimate the strength that we possess," He added, smiling with confidence.

Reminiscing on the past, his smile widened, "Look back and tell me in a short amount of time—how strong had you become. Not even a year ago—you were a weak kid, and now, you are one of the strongest entities. Do you even have to be worried about them at that pace?"

Shock flooded Kyran's features, his eyes widening in realization.

It was true that he had come a long way.

Pivoting his body towards Kyran—Rex showed his maniacal look, bearing an air of power and authority, "Also, my existence is a coercive pressure to those who wants to try, and take over the world. In their eyes, I am their greatest threat. So as the unofficial representative of me—I can't have you acting scared like a wimp, can I?"

Deg!

At Rex's last words, Kyran's heart skipped a beat.

Now he began to see the bigger picture.

Regardless of the Supernatural Elders, their potential for growth was scary, to say the least.

It was not something to scoff at as they became a contender for the world in a year's time.

Having such potential, Kyran felt stupid for being afraid and worried.

Just like Rex, he shouldn't be worried about anything and keep on getting stronger instead.

Even if their locations were exposed, the Supernatural Elders would not attack randomly as Rex's sheer existence is dangerous to them. Moreover, along the way from their territory to this place, there would be countless obstacles.

One of them is the mutated animals, stronger than they have ever been.

As strong as the Werepanther or even stronger.

Before such obstacles, even if the Supernatural Elders wanted to kill Rex the first—they were not going to do that instantly. It would be hazardous to reach here—with a large force. Only a singular entity, like Kassandra, could come here because of her skill set.

A race against time was inevitable in this kind of situation.

Rex and his forces could easily stall them if they were really planning to take him down.

It's either the Supernatural Elders reached here first and destroyed them first—or they would be too late and Rex and the Silverstar Pack managed to outgrow them. From that alone there was no need for Kyran to be fearful as the odds are on their side.

Seeing that Kyran's eyes returned to normal, Rex nodded as it seemed he now understood.

Though I said that to Kyran, his concerns are not unjustified.

At this moment, Rex managed to clear a small portion of the blurry future but the world is still far from being peaceful, with the older generations of Supernaturals all awoke from their long slumber.

Not to mention, the Fourthborn is still looming in the shadow.

But even then, Rex knew that there was only one path that he needed to take.

He needs to become stronger.

And I had the perfect way to get way stronger than anyone in this era.

Opening the notification log, Rex scrolled until he saw one big panel that he was referring to.

<Race Evolution Quest>

System, what would my next evolution be?

<Notice: the user's next evolution would be a selection of Werewolf Origin Bloodlines>

"Hah, you don't say..." Rex's eyes glistened in excitement.

He couldn't wait to see how powerful he would become after reaching the next evolution.

Just then, the two glanced over their shoulders.

Flunra managed to locate and catch up to the both of them, stopping behind them.

Upon arriving—his eyes instantly locked onto Rex peculiarly with many questions—lingering inside his mind. But, seeing that the two were sweating and panting—Flunra knew that they managed to find the culprit.

Also, he could now tell that Calidora's guess was spot on, 'It really is an Omega,'

'One of the better ones it seems' He added, sucking in a cold breath.

Meanwhile, inside the dense mist, a mass of clouds—clinging to the air like a thick shroud.

Kassandra pushed herself through the rain of lightning strikes, blocking her way and stepped into this thick mist. She managed to endure the lightning strikes, her skin which was hard like armor easily protected her from the lightning strikes.

Raising her gaze, she realized that she was already in the expanse of mist.

A mist that obscured all but the nearest shadows in its grasp.

It moved with an eerie deliberation, swirling and coiling like the huge astral body of a ghost.

On top of that, the chill that permeates inside the mist cut through the thickest of cloaks and even the warmest of bodies—biting into flesh with an unrelenting ferocity. Even Kassandra—was not immune to this cold.

She could see ice beginning to stiff the furs on her arms.

Being inside the mist alone required her to keep a high concentration of moonlight energy.

She needs to coat it around her to endure the coldness.

Amidst the oppressive silence—she quickly dashed forward expecting Rex, and Kyran to still chase after her even though she was already out of their territory. But looking back, she saw no one chasing after her.

Seems like the two gave up on chasing her.

A slight sense of relief spread in her chest as she realized this.

Making a stop, she turned to look in the direction, where she came from, "He didn't have the Storm Moon or even the Super Moon King Mark—but his speed is already astonishing, to be able to keep up with me. Not to mention—that Beta also could. Even though both, are not in tune, they are undoubtedly strong" Kassandra mused inwardly.

But then, she smirked, "I look forward to our next meeting"

Upon finishing her matters, Kassandra darted away—knowing the direction of the exit.

A moment later.

Rex returned to the city without much difficulty.

He needed to pass the mutated animals again—but with Kyran's help, expertly leading them to avoid the mutated animals' attention—both of them reached back to the city walls safely, without a scratch.

Flunra went to the Werepanther to bring it back as its carcass was valuable.

Arriving at the city—Rex could see the city guards already constructed a barricade, to cover the breach. It would be the focus of defense until the breach recovered. Despite the healing ability of the city was working, it was not an instantaneous process.

However, eventually, the breach would be repaired by itself.

It would probably take days or longer, but that's already fast enough for a breach this big.

Looking to the city walls, Rex located a guard tower and quickly headed there, as Flunra told him that Calidora was waiting for him there, saying that it was an important matter. He didn't know why Calidora left the castle, but he couldn't really dictate what Calidora wanted to do.

She would not listen, and trying to reason with her would be a useless process.

Fearing that it has something to do with his child—Rex quickly came up to check on her.

Upon opening the door, he was greeted by a small space with a console on the side.

It was completely dark which was weird—and as he stepped inside, he couldn't find Calidora anywhere, "Calidora?" As he closed the door behind him, she came out of the darkness from the corner. "What's wrong? Is it the child?"

As opposed to answering his question, Calidora pushed him against the wall.

Before he could react, she already locked her lips with his.

Tchup!

Rex was surprised and confused at the same time, but Calidora was already kissing him.

It took him a brief moment to push her away and wipe his lips, "What are you doing?"

Smiling eerily, she closed the distance between them again and pushed her sharp fingernail, her index fingernail, against his skin—and while doing this—her eyes were locked onto Rex's unwaveringly before she leaned forward, inches away from Rex's face.

"Have you cleansed your mouth?"

"Cleanse my mouth? What are you talking about?"

Upon hearing this answer, Calidora pressed her fingernail harder against his skin.

"Answer my question—have you cleansed your mouth or not? I know what you did last night, with Adhara, surely if you did that—you should cleanse your mouth from the filth. Since I am kind, I'll help you cleanse the filth, so open your mouth wide—say aaahh..."
