The Invincible Full-Moon System-Chapter 1853: God Realm: Primordial Meadow (3)
Bringing Davina and Lilliana isn’t something that he was pressured into.
He needed them.
Devo and Amanir were now in the Mortal Realm after having their aptitude upgraded. Both of them are going to help Adhara survive whatever situation she is going through under the deadly hands of Kaiser and Meloriana.
Despite his desire to help her, there was nothing he could do, even with the System’s aid.
It was out of his hands the moment the veil was enacted.
However, it was easier for him to accept the truth when he saw how Adhara looked at him.
She wasn’t helpless, but determined.
In a way, she was telling him through her gaze alone that she would survive and cause him no pain.
And for once throughout their relationship, Rex believed her.
Something behind the silvery pearls of her eyes convinced him that she could handle it.
Regardless, in the God Realm, Davina and Lilliana are going to be his assimilated spirits—for his main elements, Lightning and Lunar. Back then, when he assimilated with Devo and Amanir, both were still measly High Spirits.
Davina is a Divine Spirit, while Lilliana is nearing the Divine Spirit rank.
Both could enhance his elements like nothing before.
It’s true that both elements had already bound with Devo and Amanir, but Davina told him that it would not be a problem. Binding with a Spirit is the way of the Mortal Realm to seize higher power, as that’s the only way the inhabitants could guarantee absolute obedience from the Spirits.
However, it’s an entirely different thing if the Spirits were willing, like Davina and Lilliana.
Swoosh—!
Lunarlight washed over Rex’s body with flickering stars.
His mana rapidly circulated across his entire body, like an automated machine, charging the heart media with more and more power. Once the glow in the heart pierced even the skin, Rex’s masterful—and delicate control over his mana was displayed in full marvel.
A slithering stream of mana seeped out and snaked its way towards Lilliana, sitting beside him.
Equipped on her hands is her Soul Artifact—Harness of the Seamstress.
A silvery hand harness that wrapped around the wrist with a beautiful emerald at its pivot. It was layered seamlessly on top of a see-through green textile, pulsating with a breezing life energy. A chain stretched down from the emerald before branching to a delicate metal ring that wrapped around each finger.
Feeling the brush from Rex’s mana, the Soul Artifact reacted.
Its life energy wrapped around the Lunar mana like a long-lost lover and adjusted rapidly.
Devo and Amanir were weak spirits before they met with Rex, and thus, their Soul Artifacts could only bend to the will of the Mortal Realm that assigned their elements forcefully. But life energy is a lot more versatile than the current state of mana in the Mortal Realm.
Instead of being forced into an elemental affinity, it could adapt and become anything.
Once Davina’s life energy adapted fully, the two different energies seamlessly merged into one.
A smile crept to her face, "Now, we’re even closer than before."
"Move!" Davina shoved her away. She had been staring at how their energies complemented one another, teasing and even stroking as they merged into one, and it felt suspiciously like cheating. It annoys her. "Are you telling the truth that your lightning element is stronger than your Lunar element?"
"Yes..." Rex quickly channeled his lightning element, and as expected, it splashed more overbearingly than his Lunar element. "What do I even gain from lying?"
"Sister, being envious doesn’t suit you at all," Lilliana teased.
Davina exhaled sharply and began connecting with Rex’s lightning element.
It went as smoothly as it did with Lilliana.
Rex could feel the immediate effect as both his elements were supercharged by their life energies.
<Notice: the user’s Ultimate Lightning and Lunar Affinity have been upgraded to Lightning and Lunar Avidity!>
<All elemental spell outputs are now tripled in power!>
<It’s a temporary condition that would last until the support of Davina’s and Lilliana’s life energies is severed.>
Rex made a satisfied nod as this was more than he was expecting.
He was only aiming to make his elemental prowess be on par with the power of his Soul Artifacts, but tripling the output is more than making it on par. Besides, I think I underestimated the God Realm. Its energy level is also alleviating my elements.
From what he learned, the Spirit Realm and Mortal Realm were once equal.
Right now, the Mortal Realm was weaker.
But with the accommodating energy inside the God Realm, mana returned to its optimal state.
It was now already equal to his life energy, and this perhaps made it surpass his life energy.
"Great Spell," Rex stretched his hand to the side, pointing at a nearby tree—and also making sure there were no Baby-blue Periwinkle that would be harmed. "Black Field Orko."
Blitz—!
Almost immediately, the ground underneath the tree turned black, and black lightning tentacles climbed out like the limbs of a giant lightning octopus. It throbbed with enormous power, and the energy within it is a lot denser than Rex last remembered.
More importantly, there was a faint bluish hue at the center of the lightning tentacles.
Divine strands were in them and made that change.
"How is it?" Rex turned to Davina. "Does it use too much of your life energy?"
"No, not really," Davina shook her head, sensing barely a decrease in her reserve. "I can handle it."
Even though it seemed to be fine, Rex tried to take out the enhancements from Davina.
And surprisingly, he was able to as the lightning tentacles shrank to half their size.
It’s good to know that he could avoid recklessly using Davina’s life energy when he didn’t need to.
Now that connecting his elemental affinities to Davina and Lilliana is done, Rex turned his attention to the quest rewards that had finally finished being calculated. The experience alone pushed him up a few levels. Then came the gold, two hundred and fifty million. Fifty Divine Upgrades. And several vials of something called Divine Protection.
He was hoping to get an item that could help him find the Overseer of Realms.
But he wasn’t as lucky.
It costs an insurmountable amount to locate the Overseer of Realms through the System. I need to lower the cost. Finding out more clues about this entity should lower the cost, and I should try gaining more gold along the way.
Rex nodded and decided to check the skill tree.
Now that the King Marks were accessible again to him, he decided to check.
He vaguely remembered that the Order Skill would be upgraded once he reached Four-star Demigod.
Since he’s now an Awakened Demigod, it should’ve been upgraded by now.
I got 50 Divine Upgrades, too. Enough to learn some permanent skills.
As expected, the Order Skill has now been upgraded to Authority Skill.
Alongside the general increase in the provided effects, now, the downside of being inside a persona of a full moon was nullified. Rex no longer needs to think about the side effects, which allowed him to have a free rein without limits.
Rex wanted to check what divine skill he would learn, but realized the others were waiting for him.
He took out the Divine Protection vials from the inventory.
And he gave one to Davina and Lilliana.
"Where did you get the vials from? Space element?" Davina accepted the vial—with a clear confusion on her face. "I have a Spatial Storage, but I can’t seem to open it in this realm. Must be due to the dense space of this realm. How come you can?"
"Yours must be malfunctioning, sister. Mine is a better one than yours," Lilliana tried opening hers. One of her rings glowed, but she soon frowned as she, too, couldn’t open her Spatial Storage. "Hmm, I guess it’s not about the quality of the Spatial Storage."
"Wait a second," Davina squinted her eyes. Her gaze locked onto the ring—emerald cut like a diamond as the center of attention, wings etched into the band. "That’s mine!" She exclaimed in surprise. "I have looked for it everywhere. Years, Lilliana. And you—" Her hand shot out. "Give. It. Back."
Lilliana snatched her hand away, the other coming up to catch Davina’s wrist before it reached her. "I have the same replica, but better. It’s Father’s gift for me reaching the Master Eternal Spirit rank."
"Then let me see the inside!"
"Absolutely not."
"Because you know what I’d find? My things and initials in it!"
Lilliana’s smile was thin. "Or mine. Only one way to know—and since it’s on my finger, I will keep that knowledge to myself."
Rex ignored their bickering.
It was true what Davina said.
Considering what lies inside the God Realm, tearing the space was basically impossible.
Even now, Rex couldn’t sense Nivellen inside the Banished Realm. Couldn’t reach her. He also couldn’t feel the Silverstar Genesis, which was supposed to be his own realm and is always accessible only to him. Or even use every skill that requires tearing open another realm.
Latch of Chains. Ravenous Maw of Magna. Echoes of the Night Spirits. Not all are responding to him.
His power now lay only in manifestation.
In what he could summon directly from himself.
Nothing that needed to reach through space. Because here, the space has an owner.
"Enough," Rex’s voice stopped their sisterly bickers. "Drink the vial and digest it properly. We’re in a peaceful territory, but our goal isn’t to stay here." He turned to Nash, "Go scout to the nearest settlement you talked about. We’ll wait here. And don’t worry about the vial, I’ll get you one later."
"It’s fine, Your Highness," Nash shook his head. "I am here solely to be a convenience for you. No need to worry about my safety. I’ll show you how useful I am first."
"Address me as an emperor, not the Royal Black Prince," Rex corrected. "Now, go."
Nash went on ahead without looking back.
As someone who fends for himself inside the Black Rift with no help, Nash is independent and naturally self-sufficient. In his eyes, Rex is a savior who would bring him home, so there has to be a price to be paid on his part.
Since that price hadn’t been paid, he didn’t expect anything from Rex.
His task here is to serve. Varya said so. And that’s exactly what he’s going to do.
For the next hour, Rex and the sisters digested the Divine Protection vial.
It’s a vial that provides their soul with protection against lesser divinity, which would be useful when encountering a hostile Godling like the ones Kaiser had. And since it’s attached to their soul, death isn’t going to be a problem.
One would need to kill them twice to really kill them for good.
Rex didn’t know what lies ahead in the God Realm, but having a second life sounded essential.
His true aim for coming here was to chip away at Kaiser’s forces, breaking the walls of the castle of divinity he had built over the countless years of being a God. But before that, he needed the Overseer of Realms’ permission to cross over places.
Every single entity in the God Realm needed the permission of the overseer to traverse between realms.
As long as the destination lay within the realm clusters of the God Realm, entry required permission—and that permission came from one source. The overseer. Everyone knew her name, her face, her authority. Information about her spread not because of leaks, but because she was simply needed.
Nivellen said that he didn’t need the direct permission of the overseer.
He only needed the permission from the Cluster Custodians, extensions of the overseer’s authority.
There are a lot of them, and the one near this Primordial Meadow is an entity called Ursa.
Other than finding Kaiser’s realm, he also needed Ursa’s permission to check on Evelyn and Gistella.
In order to know exactly what was going on, he needed to know exactly the details of what happened.
