Vampires and cyclops are strong race and without means to kill then it’s better not to visit them.

He really wanted to visit the beast county to full the main Quest.

He can’t kill a soulless puppet but he can undoubtedly kill a vampire.

And it might also be perfect ground for him to test his true powers.

"Besides," Alan continued, "If there are that many monsters, maybe the artifact hidden inside the temple is worth the risk,"

"Ok, ok, then let’s visit the nearby place and purchase the necessary equipments, we need to move early morning,"
