The Kidnapped Bride-Chapter 472
Chapter 472: The real reason!
“Do you even have any idea what you are saying, Jack Shen?!”
Charles was fuming with the words. Startled back, his eyes almost were wide and covered what the undefined mist to even react at this point.
The same can be said for Jack, who had simply given the name. He had been expecting a similar outcome from a man like Charles and his raised voice didn’t make him cautious since it was the truth that he had dropped over.
“I know what I’m talking about and it is all legit. It is upon you if you believe it or not.” Jack made it all clear.
“B-but..my father....h-how is that possible!? I never made any official meeting happen between my father and...Sierra ever!” Charles answered, with the evident speechlessness in his words. He wasn’t only alarmed but felt his mind was going through a malfunction too.
Initially, Jack didn’t answer. He had a lot to say but choosing the right word was a hard task. If he had done loose talk, it might have turned against his own himself. “Well, you were kept in dark then.”
“Probably no one wanted to let you know. And you should have a better idea of how your father is rather than me or Sierra. You’re the one who is supposed to judge now.” Jack had honestly told the reality which lay in front of them.
.....
In contrast to Jack’s simple and calm expressions, Charles knew that his heart had raced up to the beating. Subconsciously, he had brought his hand near his chest, when he loosened his tie to find more air to breathe. 𝑓𝘳ℯ𝒆w𝘦𝘣𝙣𝘰ѵ𝘦𝚕.c𝗼𝓶
It was intoxicating, and holding himself appeared to be a greater task than before too.
“My Father...h-how come..you know about it then?” Charles threw another question with his blank mind. Jack nodded his head, “It was Sierra herself. She had told me everything before our marriage.”
Charles had already closed his eyes to not let his thoughts wander. Reclaiming the past, it appeared and displayed itself like any other reel in front of them. Almost neglecting the fact that there should be no connection between his father to his relationship.
However, knowing Jack too, there was absolutely no doubt that this wasn’t lying either.
The straight and the direct answers were evidence of the same. Even if he had tried or denied that it might backfire on Charles.
However, when Jack realized that Charles was still in very much turmoil, he decided to tell the man himself, “After Sierra misunderstood you, she had made dozens of the calls. I don’t know how, but Sierra learned that it was your friend’s girlfriend and you both shared nothing.”
“However, at the same time, your father had asked her to see him without informing you. At the thought of leaving a good impression, Sierra immediately agreed and thought that once she convinces your father, then Sierra will reveal that she had met with your dad. Yet things turned uglier and it was the turning point in both of your lives then..”
Jack stopped in the middle, to lower his head to take a deep breath. He knew that he was blurting out vital information, a secretive part of Sierra’s life.
He shouldn’t be the one who informs about this go Charles, but Sierra herself.
Yet knowing their both’s nature, it was almost out of their hands. Both of them bore so much hatred mixed with love, and other stubborn heads will never allow that to come together ever.
Whereas, Charles had bitten his lower lip to suppress the desire in his mind.
There were hundreds of sentiments that were rooted in his mind but he had to get the courage to learn further since it was the last time that he was actually able to get himself ready for this major reason. “What did they both talk about?”
“Your father called her at your mansion and there, your father had ultimately told Sierra that he isn’t interested in letting her be with his son. Moreover, he had brutally told her that he wants you to get married to a lady whom he had met and is one of your family friends too.”
“She was heartbroken but her persistence to not leave you was determined. She told Mr. Johnson about her intentions honestly but...her will shattered when Mr. Johnson gave her the ultimatum....” Jack’s voice turned slimmer with the sentences as he himself wasn’t able to hold the emotion.
It was an unfortunate past, but what moved this heart was to recall the heartbeat of Sierra into his ears. He knew how deeply shattered she was when she had first told him about all her past mistakes. Those cries....those emotions..these feelings, her soul belonged to this prestigious man whom she had to leave for him to live more...
But without any further due, Jack had taken the road to get this over to move on to the next segment. “Your father was really against you...you actually lived with him but Sierra knew the real reason for doing so.”
“She knew about my family issues better. My father and my intentions.” Charles spoke, to which Jack gave a stern nod.
“She did. To this date, she knows about them and each detail. How come you don’t like to eat pineapples...because..” Jack had paused to let a wide grin spread on his face. “Forget about that..”
“What threat did my father give, Jack?” Charles inquired, but this time, there was no trace of the emotions floating inside his brain anymore. He was the deep dragon anyone can come across and the same can be said for Mr. Johnson at this stage.
Since Jack had no time to waste either, he finally told. “Your father was going to disown you and snatch all the property of yours, even the one which is given to you by your mother because both of them were never divorced officially.”
“Your father was sure of not letting you live if you and her go ahead and get into a marriage. You would have not only lost your wealth which you had taken and done so much of your hard work but also... both of your lives...”
“Knowing the reason for yours to stay behind with your father rather than going with your mother, Sierra decided to not let everything be ruined. It was the idea given by Mr. Johnson who asked Sierra to leave the house with a note and state the reason that she knows he cheated on her.”
“She left because there was no option. Not because she was willing....she was never willing.”
