The Lady's Butler: I Reincarnated To Serve The Villainess-Chapter 34: Your New Home [100 PS Bonus - ]
"Now then," Adrian said as he looked at the remaining three, "would anyone else like to get in my way?"
He’d very much like to end all this as quickly as he could, without spilling much blood, if possible.
He’d rather not scare the kids.
Fortunately, the important one seemed to be in some sort of coma and the stubborn one should be man enough to handle a little blood.
Blergh!
The sound of someone puking pulled his attention where the brown haired boy, who had been released by the buff man’s headless body, was bent over to the side.
Seems he couldn’t stomach seeing a headless corpse.
Adrian watched him for a second, then let out a small sigh, "so much for him being able to handle a bit of blood."
The boy didn’t respond, too busy retching whatever little he had in his stomach.
The remaining three men, however, remained frozen stiff as their brains tried processing what just happened.
They hadn’t even seen the kid move, and yet, one of their men lay dead on the floor, his head rolling to the side.
"I did give you a chance," Adrian said, snapping them out of their thoughts, "I’d prefer not to repeat myself."
The first to snap out of his trance was the red haired man as he also ignited his fists in flames before launching himself forward.
"Don’t get cocky just because you got a cheap shot in," his line of thought was simple, Adrian might’ve used some sort of trick to take down the scar faced man.
And now that they were completely aware of him, the trick shouldn’t work twice in a row.
"This should teach you not to mess with the Dragon Flame Fist Gang in your next life," he shouted as he got close enough to Adrian.
Adrian let out a sigh as he watched the idiot approach, was this archetype really necessary in all fantasy stories?
They had clearly seen him kill one of their men with the least bit of effort, and the most rational thing their brains could come up with was to attack?
"Die!" The red haired man screamed as he extended his flame fist, aiming to blow Adrian’s head off.
From behind him, the skinny man wanted to get the idiot to stop, but it was already too late, and the punch had been extended.
But even after a few seconds of the idiot’s scream, nothing seemed to be happening, so he lifted his head and noticed that the red haired man was still standing there without moving.
"Dirt?" he called out, but instead of a reply, the scary butler whose figure had been blocked by Dirt suddenly stepped to the side, and a second later,
THUD.
Dirt’s body fell forward.
The skinny man’s eyes widened as he saw what seemed like a black spike sticking out Dirt’s back, one which had probably entered from his chest and through his heart.
"Two," Adrian calmly said while looking towards the other two.
The bald man staggered back as panic fully setting in.
"F-Forget this!" He shouted as he turned around to run, but that chance was long gone.
Before he could get far enough a spike extended from the walls and cleanly took off his head, leaving his body running forward for a bit before it fell forward.
"Three," Adrian said again, finally turning to the one he assumed to be their leader.
"L-look man, I have no idea who you are," the skinny man said lifting both hands before him, "b-but if it’s the kids you want, you can have them, I’m sure I’ll find another to—"
Shlk!
He didn’t get to finish his words, when the sound was heard and he was forced to look down, seeing a shadow spike coming out his chest.
He looked back at Adrian again, but couldn’t say anything as the life quickly faded out of him, and he fell forward with a thud.
Adrian sighed before looking at his gloved hands, noticing that they weren’t trembling at all.
It was his first time killing another human...or rather, humans, but it felt no different than killing beasts for him. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
He neither felt regret nor enjoyment from his actions, it just seemed..... normal.
Well, he wasn’t wrong in comparing those men to beasts, as they might as well just be, the only difference was that they were in human skins.
There was a certain rich slave trader currently in the capital and they had planned on capturing any street kid they could get their hands on, clean them up and sell them to the slave trader for a hefty price.
And these two had been the unfortunate ones that the four had stumbled upon.
In the manhwa, they had successfully captured them, with the buff man beating the boy almost to death before they sold the two to the merchant, even though the price for the boy was reduced due to his scars.
The boy ended up dying in the future, triggering the girl and letting her unlock something terrifying.....
And that terrifying being was what Adrian needed.
But not right now.
He turned to the kids, the girl still sleeping and the boy looking at him warily, before walking towards them.
"Stay back!" The boy ordered as he placed himself between Adrian and the girl.
He was obviously just trying his hardest to act brave, even though his body was visibly shaking from fear.
Adrian stopped a short distance away, looking at the two, the boy wasn’t useful to him, but he’d rather have him by his side, after all, it seems he and the girl were joined at the hip.
"Relax," Adrian said, "I have no intention of harming you."
"Then what do you want with us?" The boy asked, still warily looking at Adrian as he searched for a way to run.
But he had seen what happened to the man who had tried running which caused him to rethink.
"I’d like to offer you a job," Adrian simply replied.
"Eh?"
Caught off guard by the reply, that was the only sound the boy could let out.
Adrian had, flat out, wanted to tell him that he needed the girl’s abilities but for some reason, a memory of the previous Adrian in the streets popped up, causing him to reword his offer.
"There’ll be warm food and a proper place to sleep," he continued.
Warm food and a place to sleep?
These words were a greater temptation than any to the likes of them who had been living in the streets for over sixteen years.
It was an offer hard to refuse, but the boy also knew that it was an offer that wouldn’t just come for free, so he asked,
"...what’s the catch?"
"Quite simple," Adrian responded, "you just have to pledge your loyalty to me, and most importantly, my lady."
"Your lady?" The boy asked with a frown as he thought of the offer.
With the way slave traders have been roaming that capital for these past few months, he knew that it was only a matter of time before they were caught and sold.
This offer, on the other hand, sounded a lot better than getting branded and being put up for sale.
"You won’t try to sell us?" The boy asked.
"I won’t," Adrian answered.
"And you won’t harm her?" The boy asked again, turning to the girl that was, surprisingly, still sleeping.
"I have no intention to," Adrian answered again.
The boy was silent for a while, before he stood up and looked directly at Adrian before saying,
"Then I accept."
Adrian smiled a bit, before he turned around and started walking away.
"Pick her up," he said whilst he continued forward, "we’re leaving."
The boy hesitated for a second before carefully lifting the girl into his arms.
"Where are we going?" he asked as he walked behind Adrian.
"Your new home."
