Yui was definitely not human but the final boss of the first life. Her particular race was famed for being violent and bloodthirsty. The more damage they take the stronger they become and crazier they get.

Trees were still falling from her previous attack so she took advantage of that by stepping on one of the trees and dashing towards the other one. Before Justin could react' Yui appeared infront of him as she slashed her sword horizontally towards Justin's neck.
