The Last King Of Darkness-Chapter 1284 - 641: Blood Demon
In theory, anyone could ignite the Eternal Burning Fire attribute, even if they weren’t the Fire Holder.
Rod was overjoyed; the biggest hurdle to the Goddess’ Tears was the Starlight Fragments, which only appeared when the stars shone, scattered upon the earth, and quickly disappeared once the starlight faded, making them extremely difficult to preserve.
So, even though the raw materials of the Goddess’ Tears were very cheap, their quantity remained scarce.
It was unexpected to find someone here with the characteristic ability to specifically preserve Starlight Fragments.
"How could this be a waste?"
Rod grabbed all the Starlight Fragments.
"You are simply my Goddess."
Evela blushed, both delighted and excited, watching Rod tuck the Starlight Fragments into his sleeve. Soon after, he took out dozens of Goddess’ Tears.
He blended the Goddess’ Tears into clean purified water, then Horus and several bishops administered them to everyone.
The pollution that the warriors had suffered was severe, but that was only in relation to regular circumstances.
For the Goddess’ Tears, the pollution just received was best cleared, giving the best effect.
As long as the Soul’s depths weren’t corrupted, complete purification could be achieved.
Even if the soul’s core was eroded, the Goddess’ Tears could inhibit the escalation of the corruption.
Evela continuously took out Starlight Fragments from her person, since she ignited the Eternal Burning Fire attribute while collecting Starlight Fragments, she always believed that the Starlight Fragments brought her luck, and thus carried many with her.
The Starlight Fragments were very small and didn’t take up space.
With each retrieval, she gave Rod several hundred pieces.
Rod created over 200 Goddess’ Tears in total, using only about 30, with over 170 remaining.
Watching the warriors recover from severe corruption, everyone smiled. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Tears streamed down Mod’s old face; the solemn First Bishop removed his mask before everyone for the first time, choking as he said, "It is no wonder that you are the Invincible War God who brings victory and hope, Bishop Horus, I finally understand why you gave him such a title."
Horus agreed, "Exactly, you can completely trust the black bucket; his Absolute Spiritual Power may not be very strong, but his abilities are unprecedented."
Fortunately, Horus’s Saint Reel language wasn’t refined enough; otherwise, he’d definitely be able to discern the pronunciation differences between the two.
He never thought that Rod had changed his title; now he believed that the strange Saint Reel was Rod’s title.
Mod continued, "I very much wish to learn more about him, when we reach Trolian, please make sure to introduce his past in detail, do not miss a single detail."
Horus bowed slightly, "Of course, I’d be very happy to."
Luckily, due to the demanding warfare, they didn’t have the time for a long conversation; otherwise, Rod’s old story would have been revealed.
Rod didn’t pay much attention to the matter either, for he had already thought of an excellent solution.
Currently, he was the only one completely mastering the Saint Reel language; how the Saint Reel language was translated was his authority; as long as he translated bucket to War God, what difference was there between the two words?
Thus, he needn’t worry at all.
After the treatment was completed, the Golden Light on Star Square grew stronger, proving that he would gain more divinity once everything was over.
Rod felt both joy and worry in his heart.
According to the original plan, they had three days until they would leave the Saint Reel territory.
These last three days were crucial to their life and death.
Day eleven.
After a short rest at night, the team set out again.
Following the baptism of Rod’s "Spirit Tide" and "Goddess’ Tears," the team’s state seemed somewhat improved.
The dreadful Black Ring Day didn’t continue; today’s Star Phase wasn’t too bad.
But before departing, Rod forced the half-burned Book of the Future to perform a prophecy.
In the prophesied image, there was only dense Black Fog with no trace of firelight.
This was a very bad outcome.
And as soon as the team set off, Takxis found him.
"Brother Rod, I have a foreboding feeling, as if some crisis is approaching us."
Rod’s heart sank; could the Blood God be about to descend?
If the God of Contaminated Blood appeared now, there would be absolutely no chance of survival.
He immediately found the Book of Knowledge, asking if there was a way to know when the God of Contaminated Blood would descend into the world.
The Book of Knowledge pondered for a moment and said, "The Book of the Future might be able to achieve that."
The Book of the Future almost fainted at its words, crying out, "Master, I can’t take it anymore, please spare me, I really can’t do it..."
Rod hesitated for a moment; he was not sympathetic to the book but feared it might break due to being excessively damaged.
"Can it do it?"
The Book of Knowledge pondered, "Try giving it some divinity; with the enhancement of divinity, it might manage that."
The Book of the Future cried and struggled wildly, but its arm was twisted by its thigh and was forced to start working.
Rod stingily granted it 10 points of divinity.
With the enhancement of divinity, the Book of the Future radiated Golden Light, and the pages began to flip rapidly until it stopped at the last page.
On the pages, there appeared a bizarre and terrifying image; in the endless darkness, a hugely distorted presence was roaring in the Void, a gigantic spiritual figure holding up a massive invisible wall obstructed its way, but countless black, twisted entities were emerging from the wall.
The image lasted only a moment before it vanished.
The Book of the Future seemed to suffer a heavy strike, the entire book popped up and then fell to the ground, motionless, as the Golden Light faded from it.
The Book of Knowledge went forward to check it.
"No worries, it’s just suffered a massive shock; it will recover after some time."
Rod was still immersed in that image, asking, "Has the Pope of Saint Reel not fallen yet?"
The Book of Knowledge pondered, "He has likely fallen, but his methods are still effective; the God of Contaminated Blood remains blocked outside the Void, but this time won’t last long, without the Pope’s support, this spirit is but water without a source and will soon dissipate completely."
Rod grew tense, knowing the situation was grim, but suddenly a thought emerged in his mind.
"Book, can the arrival of the Blood God be delayed by the Colorful Dreams?"
The Book of Knowledge fell into a long silence, so long that Rod thought it was asleep before it answered.
"It’s possible, it might work, but we have 112 pieces of Nightmare Material, only enough to make one Colorful Dream; if used here, we won’t be able to delay the Black Fog Demon’s invasion."
Rod hardly hesitated, resolutely saying, "Use it."
Returning to the Dream Realm, entering the Dream Factory, using 75 pieces of Nightmare Material, he crafted one Colorful Dream.
Then, the Book of Knowledge held it, directing its consciousness toward the Void, as colorful light dispersed and vanished into the air.
Suddenly, the black image appeared once more on the empty pages of the Book of the Future.
In that dark Abyss, the terrifying twisted presence roared silently; many black twisted entities crumbled from the wall, the invisible wall righted from its precarious state.
Rod hadn’t yet cheered when black light shot from the book, a mass of black mist flew out of the Book of the Future, invading the Dream Realm.
A deeply hoarse voice echoed in the space.
"A Day of Madness shall come! All things wail and fear! I resurrect from the Abyss, and great horror descends!"
"Royeger!"
Almost instantly, the power of the Dream Realm suppressed the mass of black mist.
But the voice echoed long in the Dream Realm.
At this moment, in Saint Reel, Hive Mountain Range.
Takxis, at the end of the team, saw hundreds of Blood Demons, attacking them.
