The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse-Chapter 697: Nyxthar, the Void Reaper
When Klaus finally awakened the Pentaface Bead (Demon Bead), he discovered five beings inside, for the bead was a prison for these five entities.
They could not leave, as coming outside was akin to asking for annihilation from the heavens.
They called themselves Monarchs, for they were from a place outside of this universe, and there, they were once part of the 13 Monarchs.
They referred to their universe as the Disruptor, for they were the disruptors. They said their names appeared in many history books and were written in various forms.
Some called them the 13 Giants of Annihilation. Others called them the 13 Leaders of the Apocalypse.
But they were the 13 Monarchs, and right now, inside the DemonFace Bead, the Monarchs of Despair, Discord, Anarchy, Harrows, and Starvation were showing signs of shock.
"That cannot be real, right?" the Monarch of Despair asked, now in his human-dragon form.
"You are seeing what we are also seeing, so why ask that?" the Monarch of Harrow said, looking equally shocked. All five are blown away by what they are seeing.
"A creature from the Forbidden Universe has evolved, and it's not being annihilated. Just what did the boy give to it?" Despair asked with a pondering expression.
They were all looking at the 3-meter-tall figure that had appeared from a menacing cocoon. They knew what it was, for they had been rivals with the Forbidden Universe back when they were the 13 monarchs.
Over the thousands of battles they had fought, the figure standing before them was one of their most formidable opponents.
"Just how did something like this find its way into this Universe?" Starvation asked.
"You're asking the wrong question. The right one should be how it got into this world and, more importantly, how it managed to evolve."
The answer came to them faster than they hoped. Klaus revealed the reason for the evolution, and the five monarchs heard him.
"He didn't just say his blood was responsible, right?" Despair asked, looking at the four beside him.
"You don't think he could..."
"I believe we should re-negotiate our deal with him. If he can evolve a forbidden creature, then he can evolve us and allow us to live in this universe," Starvation answered, subtly suggesting the idea.
"I don't think it's that simple. If he gives us his blood, it likely means he will have some authority over us. I, for one, am not ready to become his puppet," Discord interjected, naturally sowing discord among the five.
It's his nature, and there is no changing that. Whenever he opens his mouth, the feeling of discord takes effect.

"Then sit on the sidelines if you wish. I can tell his world is still too young, meaning there's nothing here for us to do anyway.
At worst, since we are above the limit of an unawakened world, we'll be forced to leave when he evolves us.
This means he wouldn't be able to use us for now. And from what I see, he doesn't need us—he's only after our skills.
I think it would be worth it if we asked him nicely. Getting the evolution to stay in this universe means we will have the next best thing even if he can't fulfill his promise.
We can't return to the disruptor's universe, for it won't welcome us, so this is also good for us,"
Despair reasoned. Anarchy, Starvation, and Harrow nodded in agreement. Discord tried to remain stubborn but eventually relented, accepting Despair's proposal.
"Then let's wait for him to finish what he's doing," Despair concluded.
Back outside, Klaus and the ladies stared at the Death Knight for five full minutes before Nari broke the silence.
"I think Earth has just found its first defender against Tier 11 monsters, beasts, and zombies," she said, smiling. She knew she couldn't handle the being before them, even in her phoenix form.
"Indeed. With this being, we can overcome all the obstacles," Queenie added, and the ladies around her nodded in agreement.
Klaus, however, continued staring at the Death Knight for a few more seconds before he vanished and appeared two meters from him.
[Author's Note: They will speak an alien language that only he and the Death Knight will understand. But since I love you all, I will translate it into English. A castle for my effort, though... Lol.]
"Where are you from?" Klaus asked.
"The Forbidden Universe. At least, that is what I can remember."
Klaus nodded, already aware from his past life that there was a place outside of this universe known as the Forbidden Universe.
Yuying nearly died saying that name, so he never forgot.
"How did you get here?" Klaus asked. The Death Knight stood there for 30 seconds before answering. He stared long and hard at Klaus.
"You brought me here."
"Wait a minute. Say that again," Klaus said, hearing he was responsible for this.
"I was brought to this world by you... a much older version of you. He told me a day will come when I will be needed."
"We... as in there are others like you still out there?" Klaus asked, and the Death Knight nodded.
"There are seven of us, actually. You brought me here and the other six to the stars in this solar system." The Death Knight looked up, making Klaus frown.
Six on the stars in this system? What was that supposed to be?
"Do you mean the planets around this world?" Klaus asked, and the Death Knight nodded.
"When I woke up, I tried looking for you but was restricted from using the marker you left. Luckily, after wandering for months, I sensed someone with the scent of a paragon.
Thanks to the marker, though it was restricted, I sensed it was a paragon's scent. So, I took the gamble and became her companion.
Luckily, I wasn't wrong. This led me to you, but when I saw you a couple of weeks ago, I wasn't sure if you were ready, so I decided to wait for now.
I never expected that you would give me a chance to evolve. This wasn't meant to happen yet."
"This is all shocking," Klaus said, scratching the back of his head. "But tell me, who are you, and why did I bring you to this world?"
"They call me Nyxthar, the Void Reaper, but you called me the Death Knight, for I was your executioner. When your time ended many years ago, I presumed you brought me here and placed me in stasis.
Your instructions were, 'Sleep for now, for when the Earth is about to awaken, your services will be required.'
You foresaw this world's awakening and began preparing for it years ago. However, since I have awakened, the others are not far behind.
This also means the world as we know it is in dire danger."
The Death Knight went down on one knee and bowed.
"I, Nyxthar, pledge once more to fight for my lord, as I did during the Chaos Wars." Outside, the sky began to crack, causing panic and discord to spread everywhere.
Klaus, who had left a clone in the outside world, looked up and smirked. "You messed with the wrong paragon..."
