The last Vampire with the Hero summoner system: I get 5x their powers-Chapter 81: Ascension [2]
"I understand, don’t worry. I won’t engage at all." I gave Alya a glance that she nodded to as well. They can’t rage-bait us.
Suge nodded with a grin. He clearly hadn’t fallen for the propaganda higher-ups had. Actually, many didn’t fall: Louise, Zhenny, Ren, and Kobi. I liked these guys.
"So what are the ingredients currently used for human potions?" Subaru asked, changing topics completely.
"Last I recall it was Moon herb, Warlord Goblin’s fang, Darkhorse’s tail, and lesser dragon’s nail." He added thoughtfully.
"Hmm..." Suge went into deep thought, as if scanning his memory, "Besides moon herb, it’s accurate.
Never heard of that herb, we use Saiikd Shark’s spinal bone. But wait, you want the Samurai class...? It’s the potion for that if I remember right..."
"What are classes?!?!" I literally screamed with a child like excitement. I had the criminal class, but whatever these guys were talking about was clearly different!
"Classes... Well, think of them like flavors for potions." He questioned my lack of knowledge no longer.
"They have a major effect on the following potions you will require and what kind of spells you can learn. Everything changes with that.
There are thousands of classes, and probably no one knows formulas for every one of them from start to finish... Some sources of ’ingredients’ had even been extinct."
Suge’s tone grew serious, "It’s a rule of thumb to not follow some rare class and get yourself stuck on lower levels forever. The common ones are the best."
"I want the Samurai class." Subaru interrupted, "What are you planning to give me? I already know the best spells in that class. I can progress very fast in it. It’s inefficient otherwise. Very, very inefficient." Subaru said crudely.
"Wait, then what is my class?! I wanna choose too!" I added in a similar tone.
Suge frowned, "What a picky bunch... I just prepared three warrior classes. We have a huge spell library for it, too."
"What?!" Subaru asked in utter disgust. Was [warrior] that bad? I was actually okay with [Warrior] at first, but his reaction... Made me not too okay with it.
Suge raised his hands in surrender, "But, Subaru, you do make a good point! You are already familiar with the potions needed and know what to do to master them. I will try to arrange it."
"Hm." Subaru nodded.
"Hey, what’s wrong with [warrior]?" I nudged him with my elbow.
"They are brutes. They are all about hitting and taking hits. It’s a class made for monkeys with intelligence. Intelligence is an overestimation by the way." Subaru stated in a matter-of-fact tone.
Oof! If I were a warrior, I would probably cry myself to sleep after hearing that.
My ears perked as I heard fist clenching very hard. Oh shit.
Suge looked like a Pitbull, growling at a child. The target of that growl was none other than my loose-mouthed friend Subaru.
"Hey, bud, I don’t think Subaru was serious." I walked up to him, standing in between both of them. Suge was clearly a warrior.
"Hmph! Wanna see what a good [Spine break] does to you?" Suge growled.
I instantly moved to another side, right beside Alya, lost in her thoughts. No way I am standing in the way of a spell called [Spine break]. Subaru’s all yours.
Subaru only shrugged, "Even my Novice level [Petal dance] could dodge that."
"Haha, are you sure that’s made for using in a fight, Mr. Samurai? We do have some brothels where it could be more suited." Suge shot back with a very wide grin.
Okay, it was funny. What kind of name even was that?
Subaru’s face was completely red. "Say that again, Ape."
"Okay! Okay! Guys stop. Subaru, you’re getting a Samurai class veil." It might just extend, and we would lose our only non-racist, high-ranked, friendly helper. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
"Hmph!"
"Hmph!"
Both turned away from each other in utter disgust.
"Umm..." Alya spoke up.
"Don’t tell me you don’t want the Warrior class either!" Suge frowned.
"I remember her highness’s advice... For us, when we make this choice." This instantly made all three of us pay complete attention to her. Advice for my class from a Mythical class? That should be helpful.
After a moment of silence, she announced, "Lucien should be a [spirit assassin], and I, [Blood warlock]."
Suge’s frown deepened. "That’s not possible. We lack resources for both of them. We have for [assassin] and [warlock], but." He added the last part pleadingly.
He clearly seemed ready to get the materials, but seemed to find it a very massive hassle.
"That won’t work..." Alya replied hesitantly.
"What’s the difference and what do they do to begin with?" I asked with a huge question mark forming over my head.
Alya moved in front of me, raising her finger like a lecturer before starting.
"[Spirit assassin] is an assassin with a main focus on the assassination of the victim’s spirit. Like the use of curses, transferring a doll’s effects to someone’s soul, divination, danger sense, etc. They are very hex-based and versatile."
Oh my god! I am in! I am so fucking in! It was the most badass class. Basically, I could end a fight before it even starts.
"Blood warlock is probably to enhance upon my active skill, [My will], which allows me to manipulate my blood as I told you before. All spells are blood-based.
Like [Arcane blood] that reinforces the body to have warrior-like strength, [Minions] that allows its user to create an entire immortal army of creatures affected by their blood, level them up, and use them however they like. It’s a very good class."
"I understand!" With how many novels I had read, I completely understood what they were about. I had already signed myself up. Alya seemed excited about them as well.
"Sigh, it can’t be helped, I suppose." Suge, watching our faces, sighed deeply. "We lack two materials for spirit assassin and one for [Blood Warlock].
We do know their locations. Everything is available in Hell Palace, so it’s just about locating."
Alya and I nodded excitedly, "You will arrange them for us?"
"Why not? But, you will need to pay me for it... Beforehand." Our faces darkened; we were broke.
"I can’t bring a team as higher-ups won’t approve of giving you a choice in the first place. I will be the one who has to do everything. Rather secretly." He said tiredly.
I nodded gratefully, "What can we pay you with?" It wasn’t money, clearly, as he should be aware of our ’broke-ness’.
"You three will help me get it!" He said with a loud laugh.
Our faces were blank. Subaru had a ’Why am I included’ expression.
"Anyways, that’s for the evening. Now, why don’t we get our dancer friend his potion first? A normal human cannot be taken there afterall." Suge declared, opening the trembling wooden door of the homeless shelter.
