The Lunar Crest Academy: Marked by The Lycans-Chapter 218: Power and Revenge
****
Darkness clung to Adrian Vale’s chambers heavily.
Thick curtains swallowed what little moonlight dared to creep in, leaving the room bathed in shadows and the faint glow of the fire from the hearth. The air was thick, warm, heavy with sweat, and the lingering echoes of pleasure.
"Fuck Adrian" Mia gasped as she straddled Adrian on the bed, her skin flushed, her breath uneven as she moved against him in a slow, deliberate rhythm. Her fingers pressed into his shoulders, nails scraping lightly as soft moaning sounds escaped her lips.
Adrian lay beneath her, eyes half-lidded, one hand gripping her bare waist in rhythm her hip movement.
Mia moved slowly rhythmically at first, tweaking her hip back and forth. Then Adrian grasped her boobs, squeezing them and she immediately increased her pace of movement.
She moaned as her hips moved back and forth, faster now. Her head lolled back, consumed by pleasure and she humped on Adrian’s crotch, harder, and faster.
Adrian groaned as he squeezed her boobs tighter, tugging her nipples.
"Yesss" Mia moaned loudly as she bent forward and placed a rough kiss on Adrian and sucking his lips ravenously as her hip continued it’s rhythmic motion.
The kiss was brought to an abrupt end when Adrian grabbed Mia’s throat, squeezing her carotids and making her light headed.
"Adrian...." Mia gasped as her hand reached down for Adrian’s chest and she found his nipples and tugged them hard.
Adrian’s breathing deepened once, sharply, and then....
His body jerked and a final groaning sound escaped him.
They both sighed deeply.
The moment passed.
Just as quickly as it had begun, it was over.
Adrian’s expression hardened, the warmth draining from his eyes as if a switch had been flipped. Without warning, he shoved Mia aside. She landed back against the mattress with a surprised gasp, hair spilling across the sheets.
Adrian sat up, already detached.
He swung his legs off the bed and stood, reaching for the dark robe draped over a nearby chair. He slipped it on with smooth, unhurried movements, tying it at his waist as if nothing of importance had just occurred.
Mia propped herself up on her elbows, watching him closely.
"How is he holding up?" Adrian asked casually, fastening the clasp at his collar.
Mia smiled faintly, clearly trying to reclaim her footing. "The Leader? Still on his knees. Shackled. Just like you wanted. I told you, he can’t break out of my spells."
Adrian nodded once. "Good. Keep him that way."
Mia shifted, pulling the sheets around herself as she sat upright. "So.... what’s your plan?"
Adrian turned slowly, his gaze sharp as a blade. "What plan?"
She frowned slightly. "You’re the new Leader of the Crimson Hunt. We have power now. We have battalions and tens of thousands of soldiers at our disposal. We have influence. We have everything. We should be conquering packs, taking territory, asserting dominance."
She gestured vaguely. "But all you’ve done so far is send every available soldier chasing after your.... parade of friends from the Academy."
Adrian stepped closer to the bed.
Slowly.
Deliberately.
"We?" he repeated softly.
Mia stiffened.
"Did you say we have power? We have soldiers? We have influence?" His voice dropped, smooth and dangerous. "This power is mine, only mine."
He stopped at the edge of the bed, looming over her. "You are nothing more than just another one of underlings, Mia. A useful one, for now. Someone I can use... and discard when ever I want."
Her lips parted, but no words came out.
"Never," Adrian continued, eyes cold, "overestimate your importance."
His voice sharpened, venom and spite bleeding through. "Lorraine and her precious little circle killed my sister, my only sister, my only family!. And the only thing that matters to me now is making them pay."
Adrian clenched his first tight, his very muscles visible twitching
"I am the Leader," he said, power drunk and absolute. "The one with authority. The one with control. And not even you, a mere witch, get to question how I wield it."
Before Mia could respond....
A knock echoed through the chamber.
Adrian turned sharply. "Enter."
The door creaked open, and one of his commanders stepped inside. The man’s posture was rigid, his face pale, eyes avoiding Adrian’s.
"I have grave news, my lord."
Adrian’s jaw tightened. "Speak."
The commander swallowed hard. "We.... we lost her."
Silence fell.
"What did you say?" Adrian asked quietly.
"We lost Varya," the commander rushed out. "The new Lycan King, Kieran, and his companions ambushed the transport. They killed all the soldiers and rescued her."
Adrian’s eyes flickered dangerously.
"But...." the commander added quickly, "they took one of our vehicles so they left tracks that will lead us right to them. Our men are already on it. We’ll find them very easily. I swear it."
Adrian said nothing.
His fury didn’t explode.
It condensed.
He had planned to break Varya. Twist her loyalty. Use her to lure Kieran and Lorraine straight into his hands.
And this fool had ruined it.
Adrian stepped closer to the commander.
Slowly.
The air around him vibrated as his eyes began to glow an unnatural blue.
"You are of no use to me," Adrian said softly.
The commander’s body stiffened.
"Kill yourself," Adrian commanded in an ethereal voice.
The man’s eyes went glassy.
Without hesitation, he reached for his sword.
And drove it straight into his own heart.
Blood spilled across the stone floor as he collapsed, lifeless.
Mia gasped sharply, scrambling backward on the bed.
Adrian turned to her, unfazed.
"Keep the Leader on his knees," he said calmly. "If he escapes, I’ll make you burn yourself alive."
He turned toward the door.
"Where are you going?" Mia asked, her voice trembling.
Adrian paused with one hand on the doorframe.
"I’m going to wherever they are currently hiding," he said coldly. "And when I find them..."
His lips curved into something cruel.
"I’m going to end this myself."
He stepped out into the corridor.
"And I’ll make them fight each other to death"
The door slammed shut behind him.
