The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride-Chapter 54: Let’s show them who they messed with.
Chapter 54: Let’s show them who they messed with.
Even though the Prince’s lips weren’t directly touching Elliana’s forehead, the action alone made her heart beat at the pace of an express train.
She gulped, her fingers trembling a bit as shivers of excitement ran down her spine. Her right hand which was on his chest clenched against his shirt, grabbing it in her fist, and Sebastian was amazed at the strong reaction she had to a kiss on her forehead.
How will she react if I kiss her lips right now or if I pulled her even more, placing her body right above my manhood? Will her reaction exactly be this innocent? Will her cheeks go even redder? Is that even possible?
He wondered.
Even Miss Zoya, who hadn’t left earlier was shocked at the prince’s actions.
’It would’ve been more effective if he had kissed her lips, no?’ Miss Zoya heard a voice inside her head, and she turned to look at Lucas and Ambrose who were watching the scene with the same expression as her.
’Don’t speak anything. What if the prince hears us?’ Miss Zoya gushed through the mind link, and Lucas smirked.
’Look at him. Do you think he has eyes and ears for anyone else right now?’ Lucas commented, and they watched the prince, whose lips were still planted on Elliana’s forehead.
"Mr. Ma -"
"Next time you dare to degrade yourself in front of me, I will kiss you until your lips are bruised," Sebastian didn’t put a filter to his mouth, and Elliana’s heart ached at the influx of emotions she was feeling at that moment.
"I don’t know how your life went till now. Those royals who were supposed to protect and care for you because you were one of them treated you worse, and I am sorry that you had to go through that. But with me, you are nothing less than a princess, and you need to keep it in your mind all the time," Sebastian rubbed her cheeks with his knuckles softly.
He snaked his hand under her thighs before he picked her up and walked to the stairs, snaking his way into her heart at the same time.
Elliana didn’t say anything. She didn’t feel the need to. ƒгeewёbnovel.com
The truth in Sebastian’s eyes when he said those words were enough to put her mind at ease.
She closed her eyes and gently placed her head on his chest, making him look at her momentarily.
Sebastian, who always uses his vampire speed to save time, didn’t increase his speed. He walked every step slowly, looking at Elliana from time to time.
Once they reached the terrace, he sat on the boss’s chair, placing her on his lap.
He waited for Elliana to open her eyes of her own accord. If she was enjoying this, he wanted her to relish this feeling after everything that she went through today. If she was sleeping again, he wanted her to sleep in his arms so he could also use her as a human stuff toy and keep his heart calm.
It was strange.
It was strange how he is always talking about using her to infiltrate the human hunter’s kingdom, but whenever she is around, he wants nothing more than to protect her.
He sighed and pressed her further into his chest, and Elliana who was slipping in and out of her sleep, immediately opened her eyes and blinked at him twice.
She lifted her head and looked around, noticing they were on the terrace.
She looked at the dark clouds in the sky and smiled through her eyes. She placed her foot on the floor, and Sebastian let her move.
She felt excited and her face did nothing to hide it. He noticed how happy and amazed she looked when she was looking at the sky.
Completely forgetting she was with the prince, she walked to the railing and extended her hand to the sky.
"Goddess," Elliana said, and the prince looked at her, enjoying the weather, and couldn’t help but notice how lovely she was even after going through everything.
Is that how she has maintained her joyous nature so far?
"Mr. Marino," she turned to him and signaled for him to join her.
"Come here. It’s so much fun. It feels like you are on some kind of mountain," Elliana said, and Sebastian shook his head at her enthusiasm.
He was about to stand from his seat when he received a call from Harry.
"I need to take this call first," Sebastian walked a little away and Elliana looked at him with a smile. She supported herself on the railing and kept looking at his back as he walked to some distance from her.
She observed everything with her utmost attention. From how he received the call, placed his phone near his ear to running his hand through his hair and looked at the guards on the other side and signaled something to them.
Every movement he made was so efficient and breathtaking. She took a deep breath and turned around at the same time Sebastian turned towards her.
Sebastian looked at the back of the girl, who was smiling at the sky and hummed.
"And? What else did you find?" He asked, and Harry looked at his file.
"We have received the entire report. I have sent you the file, sir. The human boys were seniors in their second and third years. The princess is not seen or known to have interacted with anyone of them. In fact, she hasn’t interacted with any human apart from Madeline and Aditya," Harry looked at the information and paused.
He remembered the prince’s words about how the princess would be useless to him if he found out that the humans are against her. He looked at the sentence that said the chances are it was Madeline who ordered those boys to attack the princess and contemplated if he should tell him the truth.
The closest and most important subordinates of Sebastian have seen the change in him after Elliana arrived in the kingdom.
The dangerous prince who didn’t know how to smile or show any other emotion apart from anger was actually acting more neutral than ever.
The prince was doing things that no one expected him to, and none of them wanted this change to stop.
He has lived his life in misery for quite some time. They wanted happiness for him. And that happiness was coming to him in the form of Elliana, a human girl that he despised.
"Do I need to give you some kind of invitation to tell me the remaining report?" Sebastian asked, and Harry sighed.
"There is a possibility that Madeline gave the instructions to attack the princess. From what we have found from one of the boys, Madeline wanted to break her bones and render her unable to move for a month or two and repeat the process until the princess had left the university," Harry finally said, and Sebastian turned to Elliana, who was oblivious to everything.
Then again, was she really oblivious? Did she know about that and was putting on a strong facade to hide her pain?
If not, why had she mentioned that beauty and beast thing and said that no one ever loved her and treated her like an abomination?
She wasn’t the negative type. He has always seen her being jolly. She might have said those words for the very reason.
"Their orders were to beat her black and blue. However, one of the boys lost it and said they should at least have fun with her. They found the princess near the lake, playing with the water. According to that boy, she looked beautiful and her beauty tempted them," Harry said, and Sebastian hummed.
He doesn’t doubt it.
"You talked to one of the boys, right? I want you to gather all the information about their backgrounds and household and see if there would be any effect on this peace treaty if a few boys go missing," Sebastian said, and Harry raised his brows.
"Sir, you mean you want to -"
"Then again, what will they accuse us of? What evidence would they have against us? They can’t say that we did that because they tried to molest the prince’s wife, right? That will put them under more problems," Sebastian smirked at them.
"Bring them to the dungeons. Let’s show them what temptation feels like. Also, ensure that they are closer to the cells of the rogue vampires. Let them feel what it feels like to be the other side of the coin," Sebastian looked at the girl who twirled in her place and smiled.
"But sir, this won’t have a good impact. You just want to scare them and nothing more, but once they go out of the dungeons they’ll tell everyone what happened to them in the dungeons and it was us who captured them," Harry said, and Sebastian smirked.
"Oh, you don’t need to worry about that. They won’t say a word. We will ensure that. Just do as you are told. Bring me the information and those boys who dared to place a finger on her, especially their so-called leader who tried to drown her and left a handprint on her neck," Sebastian said before ending the call, and he looked at Elliana.
