The Nameless Heir-Chapter 32: Bloodline
Chapter 32: Bloodline
(Hope the power system is easy to understand, this is my attempt to build a world around it, I hope it’s not too complicated. If it feel free to let me know so I can make changes)
"Today we will talk about your godly power. Everyone in this academy has the blood of Olympian gods within them, and they are called demigods, which you already know," Chiron said out loud enough for the entire class to hear. For the first time in his life, Kael was focused, his eyes locked on toward the half-horseman.
"As you know, there are 12 gods known for their power—the 12 seats of Olympus. A long time ago, when the demigods and gods worked together to slay the Titans, the gods decided to create a world for the humans. To show respect for the gods, they created kingdoms and countries for those gods. Think of it as like they are temple for the gods," he started to write the nations on the board:
• Aetheros – Zeus
• Poseidria – Poseidon
• Demetrias – Demeter
• Athenos – Athena
• Apollis – Apollo
• Artemisara – Artemis
• Heptharion – Hephaestus
• Aphessia – Aphrodite
• Dionyssa – Dionysus
• Hermadia – Hermes
• Phoberos – Ares
• Thanatheim – Hades
"All those nations have their own king and queen. Next in line are the 12 holy knights. They will be the future kings of their kingdoms. You all can be too, but you will need to train hard and be able to push your body to the limit. Remember, all of you here are not human. You have gods’ blood in your veins. You are stronger, faster, smarter than a normal human being. Your job as demigods is to obey the gods and protect the people in the kingdom. Any questions?" he shouted with authority.
The students in the class didn’t talk; they just listened. A few of them exchanged nervous glances. Some were practically wide-eyed, captivated by his words. "Ok, good," he said out loud.
"This might look like a lot, but don’t worry. That’s why I’m here. My job is to train demigods, and I’m good at it. I will make sure to turn you all into fine warriors," he said, looking toward the students.
Then he looked around the class and called out, "Caius Aetos – Son of Zeus, Vander Vex – Son of Poseidon, Rowan Rho – Son of Ares," and asked Caius to demonstrate their godly power. His body started to crackle with lightning, yellow light flowing through his body, his eyes bright yellow. "As you can see, as the son of Zeus, he can control lightning. You all have your own unique abilities."
When his body started to crackle with lightning, all the students looked at Caius in amazement. Students leaned forward to get a better look. It was clear he was popular among the girls.
He turned and started to write again:

"Those are all your abilities. Now, they are not all—these are just the basic abilities and skills you have. But you can be creative with your abilities," he looked at Vander. "Please demonstrate on Rowan."
With a snap, the water in the air started to combine around Rowan, and in an instant, his face was submerged in a dense water sphere.
"As you can see, he used the water in the air to create a water ball. Now, this technique blocks all oxygen around him. He won’t be able to breathe. Now release him, please."
As he did, the water sphere became liquid again. A few students gasped, watching the demonstration in awe.
As Kael listened to Chiron talking, his eyes slowly gave up on him. He hadn’t gotten any sleep since he came from the underworld. His body went through a lot. He barely had anything to eat. He felt his head getting heavier. His eyelids dropped.
He slowly closed his eyes, his head on the table.
As he fell deep into sleep, Liza ran her hand through his hair. This time, he didn’t have any nightmares. Kronos’ voice was nowhere near. It was peaceful.
He was laying on the green grass, the golden sunlight hitting him on the face, the sound of running water, a gentle breeze that carried the scent of flowers.
And in the far distance, someone was sitting on a picnic blanket.
It was Liz, waiting for him to come sit next to her.
They stared at each other.
For some reason, Liz lifted her hand out onto his shoulder, and Kael grabbed it and gave it a kiss on the back of the hand.
He was now confused.
"You have pretty big hands, sunshine."
Then a deep, manly voice came out of nowhere.
Kael knew what this was—the same thing happened with Orion.
He opened his eyes and saw himself holding Chiron’s hand.
"Did I... please tell me not again."
He looked at Liz, and she gave him a look that said it all.
The student started to laugh out loud.
Kael, embarrassed.
"Did you have a nice nap?" Chiron looked at Kael with a look of disappointment.
Kael didn’t know why, but he felt as if Chiron knew something.
"A few more hours would be nice," he said with a smile.
"Where is your uniform?"
"I recently hit puberty, so now it doesn’t fit me anymore."
He ignored his comment and turned toward the door.
"Ok, students, let’s go," he said.
"Where?" Kael turned and asked Liz.
"To the training hall dummy" she said with a smile.
