The Newlywed's Sweet Honey: Husband, Pamper Me to the Bone!-Chapter 1020: Hatred (14)
Xiang Mountain is over two hours’ drive from City A.
Yan Sijue drove the car himself, while Mu Yiliang sat in the passenger seat, wanting to break the silence but not knowing what to say.
After all, she was going to kill him, and nothing she said could change that fact, so she just looked at the scenery on both sides of the road.
However, thinking of making a move against him soon, she couldn’t help but feel nervous inside.
She thought of this plan at the last minute and didn’t even know if she could complete the task smoothly...
Mu Yiliang felt her palms slightly sweating.
Suddenly, Yan Sijue glanced at her lightly, "Happy?"
"Ah..." Mu Yiliang was taken aback for a moment before she smiled, "Of course, because I’m going out alone with you."
"Xiang Mountain will be closed today, just the two of us, so you don’t need to worry," Yan Sijue curled his lips slightly.
"Is that so? That’s great..." she smiled with pursed lips.
With just the two of them, she wouldn’t have to hold back at all.
...
Two hours passed quickly.
Yan Sijue parked the car at the foot of the mountain, got out, walked to the other side of the car, opened the door, and extended his hand to her.
Mu Yiliang was momentarily stunned, then smiled and placed her hand in his palm, following him out of the car.
Xiang Mountain’s altitude is not high, just over four hundred meters, but it’s always known for its treacherous terrain. The local government had tried several times to develop Xiang Mountain into a tourist spot, but due to the high difficulty of development, the project had been shelved.
A couple of years ago, someone had an accident in the mountains, and visitors became increasingly rare, with only local residents taking walks at the foot of the mountain, rarely daring to venture up.
Mu Yiliang looked up at the lush mountain in the distance, and her heart gradually calmed down.
Though midsummer had passed, the trees remained lush, and the scenery was pleasing.
Yan Sijue followed her gaze and looked over, saying softly, "Excited?"
Mu Yiliang instinctively nodded.
Yan Sijue chuckled lightly, seemingly with another meaning.
In the distance, a middle-aged man in a suit hurried over, nodding and bowing to Yan Sijue, "Mr. Yan, as per your instructions, there are no tourists on the mountain."
"That’s good." Yan Sijue smiled slightly, "We’ll head up now."
"Mr. Yan, the mountain path is not easy to walk, would you like me to find a guide..."
"No need." Yan Sijue interrupted him, "I’ll call you if anything comes up."
"The signal in the mountain may not be good..." The middle-aged man took out a black walkie-talkie from his pocket, "Take this, you can contact me within a thousand-meter range."
Yan Sijue raised an eyebrow and looked at Mu Yiliang, "Need it?"
Mu Yiliang’s heart skipped a beat. Since her goal was to seize an opportunity to act, she certainly didn’t want Yan Sijue to bring this item, but refusing now didn’t seem appropriate either.
After hesitating for a moment, she smiled and said, "Take it, just in case."
Yan Sijue gave her a deep look before taking the walkie-talkie and said to the middle-aged man, "Thank you."
"You’re welcome, I wish you both a pleasant time." The middle-aged man said with a smile, pointing to the white path not far away, "That’s the way up the mountain."
...
Not long after getting on the road, Yan Sijue stuffed the walkie-talkie into his backpack, as if not taking it seriously.
Mu Yiliang silently watched, feeling a sense of relief in her heart.
