The Omega Is Pregnant-Chapter 65
Tae-seo licked the white powder off his lower lip. The sweet sugar melted smoothly on his tongue. Without pulling away from the donut touching his lips, he simply lifted his gaze.
Kang Se-heon was personally feeding him. It wasn’t unusual for him, but today, Park Han-soo was there.
He really doesn’t care about other people’s opinions.
Then again, neither did Tae-seo. Without hesitation, he opened his mouth and took a bite. The donut was too big to eat all at once, so he bit into it, and Se-heon, without a word, offered the other side. As if anticipating Tae-seo’s throat might dry out, his other hand was already holding a drink.
After chewing a few times, Tae-seo gave a thumbs-up.
"It’s delicious. I didn’t know donuts could be this soft and fluffy."
"That’s probably why they’re so popular."

"Famous places are famous for a reason, I guess."
As Tae-seo opened his mouth like a baby bird to take another bite, Se-heon, seemingly curious, took a bite of the same donut himself. When a bit of sugar powder clung to his lower lip, Tae-seo chuckled and gently brushed it off with his index finger.
"Better?"
"Yeah."
"Should we try another flavor?"
"I’ll let you taste them all, so take your time."
When Se-heon pulled out a different pastry, Tae-seo leaned in and took another bite without hesitation.
The floating sugar powder in the air felt almost like a sprinkle of pink-tinted romance dust, trapping them in their own world. Thanks to that, Park Han-soo, who had been completely forgotten, just watched in silence.
"Wow."
He couldn’t close his mouth, utterly shocked by their affectionate display. He even clapped silently, expressing his astonishment.
"So this is why you’re in the hospital. Your feet are fine, but your hands must not be working."
Even at Park Han-soo’s muttered remark, Tae-seo continued eating, taking whatever Se-heon offered. In fact, he made direct eye contact with Han-soo while chewing and even wiggled his fingers, clearly showing that his hands were perfectly fine. It was an obvious attempt to flaunt his relationship.
"Right, couples do feed each other."
Park Han-soo mumbled in resignation as if accepting that this was perfectly normal behavior. Then, he gave Se-heon another look.
"I thought you’d be the type to have a very... restrained relationship."
"Is there such a thing?"
Se-heon responded while holding a straw to Tae-seo’s lips so he could drink. If a restrained relationship meant just eating separately, then sure, that must be what Han-soo was thinking. As Se-heon casually handed over the drink, Han-soo commented,
"Or I thought you’d be the type to be taken care of in a relationship."
"Is that a thing?"
Se-heon’s identical response made Park Han-soo raise his hands in surrender.
"Right... neither a restrained relationship nor one where someone takes care of you exists, huh?"
It was pointless to say that Kang Se-heon, a well-known businessman with a strong and intimidating presence, didn’t seem like the type to be doted on.
Watching Park Han-soo’s bewilderment, Tae-seo burst into laughter. Even as Se-heon wiped the sugar from his lips with his fingers, Tae-seo couldn’t stop laughing, only covering it up with a belated cough.
"Hyung wasn’t always like this, but now he takes good care of me."
"Ah, so his feelings have deepened over time?"
"That could be it. Or maybe it’s because I’m pregnant."
"Ah, since he’s the dad, he’d naturally be more— wait. Pregnant?"
Nodding along as if it was obvious, Park Han-soo’s brain finally processed the words, and his voice shot up.
"You mean the dad you mentioned last time is really...? No way, you’re serious?"
Back then, he thought Tae-seo had just been messing around. Especially since he had cut the call short before Han-soo could ask any questions. But now...
"Yeah, I’m pregnant. The baby’s name is Blessing."
"Ah, right, pregnancy is a blessing. But wait, I’m not saying it’s weird or anything, I just—"
A moment ago, his friend was living as a Beta. Then he suddenly became an Omega, and now he was pregnant?
"I meant, the baby’s name is Blessing."
Tae-seo kept his eyes on Park Han-soo’s stunned expression as he corrected him. It was interesting to see how different it was when a friend reacted compared to parents. When he told his parents the truth, he had worried about how shocked they would be. But watching Han-soo’s reaction was just amusing.
"This is kind of fun. Should I call someone else to see their reaction?"
Who else would be shocked by his pregnancy?

"Did you find anything?"
Se-heon’s serious tone as he answered the phone made both Tae-seo and Han-soo fall silent.
Park Han-soo, in particular, looked even more startled. He had just been thinking about how unexpectedly sweet and caring Se-heon was, and now, his demeanor had completely changed. His sharp gaze turned cold, and the intensity suited his chiseled features so well that it was almost scary.
"Damn. He’s a whole different person when he’s working."
"Shut up."
Han-soo whispered to Tae-seo but immediately let out a silent scream when Tae-seo jabbed him in the ribs.
"I should get going."
"Yeah, yeah, go on."
As soon as Se-heon ended the call, Tae-seo nudged his back, urging him to leave. The man was already busy enough, and lately, he had practically been living at the hospital because of Tae-seo.
"Are you okay being alone?"
"Han-soo’s here, and I can take care of myself. Now, hurry up and go."
"...I’ll be back soon."
"Yeah, babe. Bring me something tasty when you come back."
Tae-seo deliberately used the endearment to hurry Se-heon out of the room. Hearing that, Se-heon let out a resigned smile and finally opened the hospital room door.
"Han-soo, I’m counting on you."
"When did I become hyung?" Han-soo’s loud and confident response made Tae-seo glare at him as Se-heon walked out.
"So, what should we do now?"
"What do you mean? I’m going to sleep, and you’re going home."
"Me? But hyung just told me to look after you."
"I’m staying alone. Get out."
Tae-seo grabbed Park Han-soo’s arm and pulled him up. Han-soo made a show of getting up reluctantly, but he knew it would be rude to keep hanging around when the patient himself was telling him to leave. Still, his face was filled with hesitation.
"Hurry up and go."
"...I’ll come back later."
Even though Han-soo looked reluctant, Tae-seo was only focused on getting him out of the room, constantly pushing him toward the door. Only after finally shutting it behind Han-soo did Tae-seo shake his head with an exasperated sigh.
"Not many people come, but the ones who do never want to leave."
With a relieved expression, Tae-seo lay back down on his bed. It was still bright outside, so he only planned to nap for a short while. Since it was still work hours, he figured no one else would come looking for him.
His body [N O V E L I G H T] felt heavy after dealing with so many people since the morning, and he was confident he’d drift off quickly without forcing himself to sleep. His eyelids fluttered, and just as he was slipping into slumber—
The sound of the door opening made his eyes snap wide open.
With his back to the entrance, he couldn’t see who had entered, but his face immediately tensed.
Tae-seo sat up before even checking who it was. He got off the bed and turned completely to face the visitor, locking eyes with them.
"I figured you’d come at least once."
"You’re quite sharp."
A deep, resonant voice filled the hospital room, reaching Tae-seo.
Until now, he had thought Kang Se-heon’s voice was the most pleasant sound in the world. Whenever Se-heon spoke, it made him feel at ease, and when he whispered sweet words, it was almost intoxicating.
But now, he realized Se-heon’s voice must have been inherited.
Because the man in front of him had the same rich, captivating tone.
As Tae-seo focused on the voice, he finally lifted his gaze to properly take in the man before him.
He resembled Kang Se-heon.
Not completely identical, but the aura was unmistakably similar. He couldn’t believe he hadn’t recognized it sooner—this man’s presence naturally reminded him of Se-heon.
It was none other than Kang Hak-jung, the chairman of KH Group.
"Please, have a seat."
Tae-seo gestured toward the sofa, and Kang Hak-jung, without hesitation, took the seat like he belonged there. Sitting in the most prominent spot, he exuded authority, making it feel as if he were the true owner of the hospital room, not Tae-seo.
But neither of them cared to point that out.
Tae-seo sat across from him.
"We meet again."
"Indeed."
When Tae-seo nodded without resistance, Kang Hak-jung’s lips curled into a faint smile. His gaze held a flicker of curiosity, as if he were trying to figure out whether Tae-seo was just making polite conversation or if he truly remembered their previous encounter.
Tae-seo, seeing no reason to be vague, casually brought up the memory.
"We met at this hospital before. You sat right in front of me."
The day Tae-seo had come for his checkup, waiting for Se-heon alone in the first-floor café. A grandfatherly figure had approached him, asking if he was feeling unwell.
And back then, because he hadn’t known who he was speaking to, Tae-seo had spoken openly, voicing his frustration about becoming an Omega late in life.
"Have you been well?"
At Kang Hak-jung’s question, Tae-seo nodded.
"Thanks to you, I’ve been eating whatever I want and sleeping whenever I feel like it."
Back then, Kang Hak-jung had given him simple advice—if he wanted something, he should ask the person living with him to get it.
It had been an uncomplicated suggestion, but surprisingly effective. Maybe that was why, even now, Tae-seo didn’t find the chairman intimidating.
"But why didn’t you tell me who you were back then? You could’ve just mentioned you were Se-heon’s grandfather."
Tae-seo expressed his mild complaint, as if it was a missed opportunity. If he had known back then, their conversation wouldn’t have ended as just a brief exchange.
"I approached you simply because you caught my eye."
Kang Hak-jung explained why he hadn’t mentioned his connection to Se-heon.
He had been drawn to the young man and found himself wanting to speak to him. That was all. His grandson had nothing to do with it.
"But you never seem surprised to see me. This time, you must have recognized who I am."
"Yes. You’re the chairman of KH Group—Se-heon’s grandfather."
"Then do you know why I came to see you?"
At that, Tae-seo’s lips curled into a bright smile.
"Of course."
