["Good job! Now... next lesson—"]
Just as Zar heard this, his lifeless act vanished instantly. His despair kicked in, and his mind scrambled for a way out. His eyes darted around, hoping for some miracle to save him. Then, in a desperate tone, he blurted out, "Wait, System! Wait! We don't have time! See? Four hours have already passed!"
For a brief moment, silence filled the void. Then, a soft chuckle echoed around him, slowly growing into full-blown laughter.
["Ahaha! Oh, Zar, you should've seen your face. That was just a little prank."]
Zar's eye twitched. His entire body tensed, his irritation boiling over, but he swallowed it down. He wasn't about to pick a fight with a being that had just forced three million years' worth of knowledge into his mind in mere hours. A newfound fear of the System settled into his soul.
Taking a deep breath, he exhaled sharply. "Alright, System. Let's go back."
But nothing happened.
Zar frowned, glancing around the empty void. He had expected the System to teleport him instantly, just as it had before. Instead, the System remained silent. "...System?"
Then, the voice returned, playful yet with an edge of smugness.
["Do it on your own."]
Zar's expression deadpanned. His gaze met the invisible presence of the System, as if staring into an endless abyss. Then, realization hit him like a cosmic thunderbolt.
'Wait... I already learned how to do this, didn't I?'
A long sigh escaped his lips as he muttered, "You really are an asshole."
Shaking his head, he closed his eyes. His surroundings began to warp, bending and twisting like an infinite tapestry unraveling at his will. Then, in an instant—he erased himself from the void.
—
A majestic burst of golden light illuminated the grand halls of his Sanctum. The space shimmered with divine energy, its walls woven from the very fabric of existence itself. Towering pillars of luminous crystal stretched into infinity, reflecting a realm that defied logic. An intricate celestial sigil spun at the center, radiating with the pure essence of creation.
And gathered beneath its glow—every God of his pantheon stood waiting.
Zar's gaze swept over them, his brow furrowing slightly. Why were they already here?
"System," he muttered. "Did we come late?"
The System, now manifesting through a floating golden interface, raised an imaginary wrist and inspected an illusory watch that wasn't even there.
["Nah, but about... ten minutes earlier."]
Zar blinked. "Then why are they here so soon?"
The answer struck him just as the System spoke.
["Well, I think we're gonna need an extra class, my dear Zar."]
Zar's mind snapped into action. His thoughts connected the dots instantly. They arrived early... as a show of respect.
A slight smirk tugged at his lips as he spoke, "I get it now. They came early because this was their way of showing their reverence to me."
The System hummed, feigning hesitation.
["Ahh, yes. That was also a good reason. But never mind that! Now, let's focus on creating a realm. First, tell them the rules of the games, man—"]
Zar's eyes gleamed with understanding.
With a mere flick of his fingers, a golden scroll materialized before each of the main gods. The scroll unfolded with divine authority, its text shimmering with radiant glyphs of power.

" The Games of Gods "
Round 1:
The first round shall be a test of survival and the hunt. The subordinates of each main god will be thrown into a realm where only the strongest may endure. They may not form alliances, even with those who serve the same god. Interference from main gods is strictly forbidden.

The scroll hovered in the air, its divine script pulsating with unseen power. Yet, beyond the first rule, the rest of the scroll remained blank, its secrets hidden.
A figure stepped forward. Noctis, the God of Night, his silver eyes gleaming with curiosity, spoke up. "My Lord... why are only the first round's rules revealed? What of the others?"
Zar crossed his arms, his expression unreadable.
"Because I do not wish for any of you to plan your next moves in advance. The unknown is what makes this game interesting."
A flicker of understanding crossed Noctis' face. "A test of adaptability, then?"
Zar's lips curved into a knowing smile.
"Exactly."
A beat of silence.
Then, a slow, amused chuckle echoed.

["Well played."] The System's voice carried a rare note of approval.
For the first time in a long while, Zar felt a spark of pride. He had done something that even the System found impressive.
And so, the Games of Gods had begun.
