The People's God: Sacrificing Trillions to Ascend-Chapter 645 - Omniversal
Under the protection of the Imperial College, Han Wu returned to his divine realm and slept for ten days straight to recover from his exhaustion.
As if somehow knowing how long he would rest for, Xu Hai contacted him on the day he awoke about the two Gene Catalysts from the Divine River Civilization. They were to be given to Han Wu as compensation.
These were the First Series Gene Catalysts: Void Hunter and Omniversal. Han Wu had checked the four effects of Void Hunter before, so he knew what to expect, but he had never heard of Omniversal.
Upon skimming through its effects, Han Wu was left stunned.
Omniversal was a peculiar Gene Catalyst that had only one effect with the same name. This effect was useless on its own, but could enhance another skill or ability by ten times when used concurrently! After consuming it, the user’s body parameters would also increase manifold when ascending a rank.
Han Wu was a World life form. He could only imagine his growth potential with Omniversal. With it, he could even reach the point of crushing a Microcosm with his bare hands!
Naturally, he decided to save Omniversal for himself. Besides the Gene Catalysts, he had also obtained many treasures like the Slaughter Knife and Dragonfang Breaker. Once out of the field, the quality of the two pieces of equipment had diminished, affecting their effects.
The Slaughter Knife no longer gave a permanent strength boost after killing a life form. Instead, it gave a buff that would fade over time. Sustaining that buff required constant slaughter.
Meanwhile, Dragonfang Breaker retained its effect to ignore defenses, but could only deal physical damage.
Though their effects had diminished, they were still exceptional weapons. Thus, Han Wu decided to give them to Akanzor and Bart, the two units who had followed him to the Lawless Civilization. The two happily accepted the gift from their God.
Other than that, Han Wu also received a cut of Deathwing’s body parts, which he immediately passed off to Hammie. Despite ascending into an Earthsunder life form, Hammie was inexperienced in combat. His forging skills, however, were unmatched.
Han Wu wanted to prepare a ceremony to officially decree Hammie’s integration as a core follower in his divine realm.
Materials aside, his next largest gains were the plundered Microcosms. He had obtained forty-two over the course of the match, bringing him up to a total of forty-four. However, out of the looted Microcosms, only Deathwing’s original Microcosm was of significant size. The others were tiny and exuded a death aura of low purity.
These useless Microcosms wouldn’t help him much. Even 1000 of them would do nothing for him.
A newly formed Microcosm was weaker by default. While the Microcosms could grow if his units inhabited them, they would also stop if they left or died. Han Wu couldn’t imprison his units on these Microcosms just for the sake of growing them.
Suddenly, he had the brilliant idea to merge the Microcosms.
Sitting down, he calmed his breath and focused on the two smallest Microcosms filled with death aura. The two Microcosms shuddered but didn’t fuse.
Han Wu figured this was probably because his Merge power wasn’t strong enough. Even an Exclusive Divine Power had its limits. That was when he had another idea: Omniversal could enhance his other skills and abilities tenfold.
Decisively drinking the Gene Catalyst, his genes went through a series of changes as his body assimilated it.
Aside from being a Major God, he had also become a Rank 1 Super Genesoldier. After successfully obtaining Omniversal, he activated it in tandem with Merge. With Merge enhanced tenfold, the two Microcosms actually started to fuse together.
Fifteen minutes later, the two Microcosms had combined to form a brand new Microcosm. It was slightly larger and had a purer death aura, though still comparatively smaller than Deathwing’s original Microcosm.
Han Wu decided to merge more Microcosms. After three sleepless days and nights, he finally merged most of the Microcosms within him, leaving him with three. These were his original Microcosm, the Mechanical Microcosm, and the Dead Microcosm.
Although he had fewer Microcosms overall, these three provided him with far purer and more abundant energy than the numerous small Microcosms he had before. As he was about to test his new strength out, the Origin of Mutation visited him.
“Vessel, I managed to produce two powerful Gene Catalysts as well as other weaker ones.” 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
During the match, the Origin of Mutation had killed Warmaster and Carnage before eating their hearts, hoping to bring their complete genetic information out of the field. Fortunately, it had succeeded, so once it returned, it immediately went into research mode and soon created some Gene Catalysts.
The Warmaster Gene Catalyst had four effects. The first granted the user the ability to turn their own energy into Obsidrum armor and weapons. Obsidrum was excellent for suppressing Gods and was also widely called a God-killing metal. Besides that, it also improved its users’ reflexes, enhanced their physical strength, and gave them the ability to use Obsidrum Judgment.
The Carnage Gene Catalyst also had four effects: granting the user permanent strength from killing another life form, giving the ability to temporarily improve the user’s damage, increasing their exuded pressure with the aid of corpses, and enhancing their physical strength.
In addition, the Origin of Mutation had also reproduced hundreds of vials of Gene Catalysts it had extracted from the cloned Super Genesoldiers for Han Wu to use on his units.
There was an abundance of Gene Catalysts, and Han Wu had the delightful dilemma of assigning them.
