Chapter 360 - Meeting Elaina Turn Sour?

"That would be really great. This way, the Armen Royal family won't move anyone related to me, and the Eberhart Clan would also do their best to protect people who are important to me." Oliver said with a smiling face. If he can join a Mid-Level Sect than, most of his worries would vanish.

"After ten days, I would be visiting the Braveheart Sect. At that time, we can go together." Danny revealed the plan that he devised just now.

"Ten days? But…" Oliver didn't think they would be able to go back and return in ten days, and there's the matter about bringing Elaina's mother and all the people related to Yandell's House from the Clan's territory.

"I know what's your concern is. Don't worry, I have a plan. You can write a letter to Lady Brenna and I make sure it reaches her by the next morning. I will also mobilize a few of my men. They will make sure that your family, in batches, will reach the borders safely in the next five days."  Danny said, showing great confidence in his men.

Smuggling some two thousand people across borders is not a small task, not to mention Eberhart Clan would definitely react after noticing the disappearance of Brenna and some two thousand people from their own territory.

First of all, Danny already knew the location of the Eberhart clan's territory by asking the puppets as he was listening to Melinda. It's located in the Southwest region of the Armen Kingdom and the place where the Yandell retinue was housed was conveniently a kilometer distance from the river.

It's a river that flows down from the tallest mountain in the Caragan Forest and splits into three directions: the East, Northwest, and West after coming out of the forest from the south.

His puppets will be ready with ships to load those people and by following the river they will escort them to the Hemforth city within three or five days time, depending on how quickly Lady Brenna is able to convince and gather her people in leaving the new home that they had just built.

After Danny explained his plan to the three of them, they were greatly relieved.

"If your Clan ask, why didn't you bring your two disciples back? Just tell them that the King was so entranced with the girls and their beautiful faces, he held them back and didn't let them go. And since miss Elaina already had some beef with the Armen royal family, she and her elder decided not to follow their Mentor back to the Clan. I think they won't care about them as long as you are released and I will greatly stretch the time of your release some other people so you can join Braveheart Sect by that time and go back to your Clan with an extra background and come back with a peace of mind" said Danny, with a smile on his face.

But his smile got stuck halfway when Danny noticed the three looking at him with suspicion. Especially the two girls, Elaina and Melinda, their expression became weird.

'What the fuck?' thought Alex.

"Ahem! Is there a problem with my face?" Danny asked, wary and confused.

"You don't. . . have, right?" It was Elaina who spoke. She already had a guarded expression.

"Have what?" Danny asked again, looking even more confused.

"Any bad thoughts about us?" Elaina inquired.

This question greatly startled Danny and Oliver. Stumping the former and scaring the latter when he heard her disciple asking such a question to their benefactor upfront.

Oliver quickly coughed and tried to save the situation, though in his heart, he also became a little suspicious. What's in for the young King for helping them so much. Even Alex is not that great of a friend; they are only something of an acquaintance that had helped each other once in the past. But he knew they couldn't say it out and find it slowly y themselves afterward. Not to mention, there was a very high chance, they thought wrong.

'When did this girl become so dumb?' Oliver thought helplessly.

"Cough Cough, ahem, ah, Your Highness, Elaina doesn't mean that you-um, it's only- well just don't –" Oliver tried to defend and apologize, but he didn't

Danny also understood why Elaina would doubt him now. It's because of what he had said before.

"It's alright, Mr. Oliver, though I feel slightly offended and a little bit hurt for being doubted. I'm not mad. I'm not someone who flips the table and turns his face for such a small thing. It's good that you are suspicious of my intention. It's always right to have your guard up all the time, especially women; that's how you survive longer in this world. As for Miss Elaina's question, I really don't have any bad intentions or thoughts about you two. It's only because you are a friend of my friend that I'm helping you." Danny explained.

Even though Melinda converged a lot and corrected her expression, Elaina still looked to be doubtful.

"There's no doubt you two are beauties worth pursuing, but I'm not some kind of buffoon like the second prince who would use cheap means to get girls to lay beneath him. I'm King Danny Glover. I'm wealthy, powerful, and if I were to speak humbly, very good looking too. Do you think I lack beautiful, willing women around me who would say no if I were to ask them to date? In fact, If I had any bad intentions, I would have directly forced myself upon you, and you wouldn't be able to stop me. Sometimes too much suspicion can be unhealthy." Danny couldn't help but beat some sense into the girl's head.

'Not everyone is after your body.' He thought

Alex knew the girl had gone through a tragedy recently and may have formed serious stereotypes about men, therefore, he should have been lenient and let it go, but he is King Danny. He has to act out his character of a King and show that his majesty, dignity, and character cannot be questioned so easily.

Alex regrets showing too much friendliness to the three when he first met them, it caused them to misunderstand his good intention after a few words and let them forget all that he had done for them.

Danny's words really made an impact on Elaina as her expression suddenly turned regretful and apologetic. She finally understood that she had made a major mistake.

"Forgive me, Your Highness. I deeply regret doubting your character, and it wasn't my intention as you have helped us greatly. It was a momentary lapse in my judgment, and your words triggered some bad memories, and I couldn't help think it might really become a possibility; that's why I asked without thinking properly over it. Now that I think it over again, I now find how absurd and childish my accusation sounded." Said Elaina as she stood up and bowed her head quickly in apology.

Melinda, too, made the same action as her young martial sister, apologizing, and asking for forgiveness. Sweat has already appeared on her head, thinking how everything could go wrong if they offended and wronged someone who had helped before.

"… sigh, I accept your apology. Since you have understood where you are wrong and reflected on it, that is enough for me. I take no offense. Now sit down and let's forget what happened before. I'll help you as I've promised previously. After waiting for a period of time, Danny loosened his stone-cold face and sighed before accepting their apology.

Everyone present there felt like a giant stone had been lifted from their heart when they heard words of the Young King.

Oliver then saw him turning to him and saying, "Mr. Oliver, please prepare the letter and possessions that would help authenticate your words to Lady Brenna. After it is prepared, give them to one of the guards waiting at the door gate of your room. He will do the rest."

"Now, let's call it a day. I've to go back to do my duties to the realm. There are many matters that need my attention. So, I will say my goodbyes now. Let's meet on better terms again in a few days." Danny said, after which he got up from his chair and walked out of the basement.

Oliver, Elaina, and Melinda stayed on their feet until the young King hadn't left through the door and until the butler/soldier, Sparrow, hadn't entered the basement.

"Lord Oliver, Ladies, I will show you all, your new rooms where you will be resting from now on. Please follow me." Sparrow spoke as soon as he entered asked the three to follow him. It seems they would not be going back to their previous rooms in prison. Though they were not bad as there were few rooms built for people with high status, it didn't feel good to stay in them.

So, they quickly followed the butler to their rooms.
